Amen. What a joy it is to be in the house of God on this Tuesday evening tonight. I want to as we prepare to get into the word of God today to express to you even on a Tuesday night how thankful we are to be in the presence of God. I don't know about you, but I've been blessed for these last four days with Cam meeting. Who says amen? >> God has been good and gracious to every single last one of us. And on behalf of my wife and myself again, we count it a joy uh to be invited to Nairobi to share the word of God. You all have been gracious and we are having a wonderful time in the presence of our good and gracious God. I'm going to invite you to take your Bibles with you right now. And as we prepare to go to the word of God, as always, let's pray together even now. Let's pray. Eternal Father in heaven, God, my heart's desire this evening is that God you would visit us in a unique and powerful way. I pray God tonight that you would again think through my mind and that you will speak God through my vocal cords. Lord, I pray tonight that tonight's message would not just be another one that we hear that may just sound good, but I pray that we'll put this word into action. God, I prepared your word now, but God, freely speak to us and say exactly what you want to say. But we ask it now in Jesus name. Amen. Amen. Take your Bibles right now and go with me again to the Gospel of Mark tonight. the Gospel of Mark, Matthew, Mark's Gospel. And I want to begin reading beginning at verse number 46. Mark chapter 10. And I want to begin reading this evening beginning at verse number 46. This is a very powerful story that we're going to find in the word of God. Mark chapter 10 and beginning at verse [music] number 46. And I'll wait for you to get there. Mark chapter 10 and beginning now at verse number 46. When you have it, come on, say, "Amen. Amen. The word of the Lord says this evening, Bible says, "And they came to Jericho. And as he went out of Jericho, that's Jesus, with his disciples, a great number of people, blind Barameus, the son of Tmus, sat by the highway side begging. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, "Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me." And many charged him that he should hold his peace. But he cried the more a great deal, "Thou son of David, have mercy on me." And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they called the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise, he calleth thee. Verse 50. And he casting away his garment. He rose and came to Jesus. And Jesus answered and said unto him, "What will that I should do unto thee?" The blind man said unto him, "Lord, that I may receive my sight." And Jesus said unto him, "Go thy way, thy faith has made thee whole." and immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus in the way. Who says amen to God's word? >> Amen. >> Amen. For the time that we have to share together this evening, I want to preach tonight under the subject entitled Pass Me Not, O Gentle Savior. Pass me not, O Gentle Savior. Church, I am convinced that our God is a loving, kind, gentle, and prayer hearing and prayer answering God. The Bible tells us that our God is love. That God loves us with an everlasting love. To know the height and the depth and the breadth of the love of God, we will never fully understand. God is love and God desires that all of us would love him in return. I can't explain it tonight, but I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I'm standing here tonight because of a mother and a father that prayed for me. Come on, say amen. I believe tonight that there is power in prayer and that there is power when we submit ourselves to Jesus Christ. As I look at this text tonight, I want to give you a little background of the backdrop of this particular text. We have four gospels. How many gospels do we have? Four gospels. We have Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Each one of the gospel writers, they wrote with a specific purpose in mind. Matter of fact, when Matthew wrote his gospel, Matthew was writing to a Jewish audience. And Matthew wanted everybody to understand that Jesus is a great teacher, that he is Raboni. That's why we have the sermon on the mount. When Mark wrote his gospel, Mark wanted us to understand that Jesus is a man of action. Matter of fact, when you read the Gospel of Mark, Mark is the shortest of all of the gospels. Matter of fact, theologians believe that Mark's gospel is the first gospel that was written. It's oftent times called Proto Mark. And everybody else kind of picked up on what Mark wrote. Well, Mark again is showing us that Jesus is always on the move, that he never stops. Matter of fact, it is an interesting study to find out from chapter 1 all the way through chapter 16, Jesus is always on the move. Well, Luke's gospel, he wrote to a gentile audience to help the Gentiles know that Jesus is a friend of sinners, that he hangs out with those who are the least left out and the lonely of the world. Jesus hangs out with with people that nobody else hangs out with. He is a friend of sinners. Come on, say amen. >> But only that in John's gospel is the synoptic gospel. And John's gospel is a living parable of what Jesus is. John wrote that you may know that Jesus Christ is the son of the living God. Ah, but my favorite gospel ar author, you may have yours, but I love the gospel of Mark because Mark again is trying to show us that when you call upon the name of Jesus, Jesus will show up and Jesus will answer your prayers when you call upon his name. In Mark's gospel again, Mark is writing to show that Jesus is able. Well, in Mark chapter 10, somewhere on the back dusty roads of Jericho, we meet a man today by the name of Bararddameus. Oh, I love Baremous. However, the Bible tells us that Bartameus has a problem. His problem is that he is physically blind. For years in our text today in Mark 10, he's basically sat by the highway side begging every single day. He's there asking for arms. He's there help asking that maybe somebody will put something in it. The only thing that that Bardameus has is a shabby outer coat, a tin can, and some faith. I like this in our text tonight because Baremus as he's sitting by the wayside, sitting by there, the Bible tells us that Barardeameus, hear me tonight, Bardameus has a father. Look at the text right there. Mark 10:46 and onwards. Barameus has a father. Matter of fact, Mark tell Matthew tell us his father's name is Tus. His father's name is Tmus, but his father is nowhere to be found in any of the story of Bararddameus. I find it interesting that the Bible tells us that Bardameus has a father, but his father is missing from his life. Barameus is blind. Barnameus is begging, but Bardameus has a father. Surely the father should have been there for his son. I want you to hear me tonight because God clearly put this in my mouth and in my mind to say and I say it with the authority of God tonight to every father and to every man under the sound of my voice. God has called you to be a godly man in these last days. >> Oh, that was a weak amen. Come on, say amen again. Amen. >> God has called every single man and every single father to stand up and be the man that God has called you to be. God needs men in these last days. >> Oh, God is looking for a man that's going to be there for his family. God is looking for a man that's going to be there for his children. I thank God tonight that I grew up with a father who loved my mother, a father who was there for his children, and a father that made sure that we will know God for ourselves. >> I am the man that I am tonight because I had a father that was inside of my home. Hear me tonight, somebody tonight. Every father, every child needs their father. Oh God, help me preach tonight. Every child needs a father in their life. You see, what children will never tell you is that more than giving them presents, they want your presence. >> Oh, you better preach, Dr. Lee. I'm doing the best I can. >> Amen. More than giving them your presence, they want your physical presence in their life. They want to know that they are loved by their father. I know every mother already loves your children. It goes without saying the children know that mommy loves me. You were taught from the very beginning that mommy loves me, mommy this, mommy that. But we never tell the fathers that we the father loves the children. Matter of fact, I'm going to go there tonight. Oftent times the father never tells their children, "I love you." I know you better help me preach tonight. I love the feedback. Amen. It's always the wives, the women that say, "Oh, I love you." AND THE FATHER SITS BACK AND SAYS, "Grow up and be a man. Grow up and do this." Let me tell you tonight, every single child needs a father in the background that's saying, "Come on, son. You can do it. Come on, daughter. You can be the best. You need to be a man in these last days." >> Amen. Ellen White said that the greatest one of the world is the one of men. Men who will not be bought nor sold. Men who will stand true and honest. Men who will stand as true to duty as the needle is to the pole. Men who will not be bought or sold. But men who will stand for the right though the heavens fall. >> We need more godly men in these last days. >> And I'm going to say it again. I'm going say my time. and men that will be there. Oh, I'm going to get in trouble tonight. For their families, every man, God has called you to be a priest. Whether you have a family or whether you are single, you are the priest if you're single of yourself. And if you're married, you ought to be the priest of your home. >> Amen. >> The woman should not always have to lead worship. The woman should not always have to be the one that says, "Let's do this and let's do that." LET THERE BE SOME GODLY men that will lead their families to heaven in these last days. >> I know what I'm talking about because my father again, he gave me everything that I am today. My mother is a nurturer. my mother to this very day. Call me when you land in Nairobi. Call me before you come and DO THE CALL. I'M LIKE, "MOM, I'm a grown man. I don't need to call you." No. Mama says, "Call me because mama, that's her nature." But every father needs to understand that your children need you. >> I would argue tonight from the Oh, I got two things on. I would argue from the word of God that the reason Tameus is by the highway side begging is because his father is absent in his life. BECAUSE IF HIS FATHER WAS THERE and the Bible says his name is Tmus. If the father was there surely the father would have taken care of his blind son. But we have another absentee father. And the reasons our families crumble today is because the man is missing. And hear me right now. That's why the devil, help me preach, my brother. That's why the devil has waged warfare against every single man. There is a target on your forehead. Especially, oh God, give me the strength to say it tonight. Especially men of color. The devil hates us. And guess what? I hate the devil. >> Now, I know y'all like, "Oh, you pastor, you say you hate the devil." No, I can't stand the devil. The devil has waged war against every single man. And that's why our families are crumbling because the man is missing. But when a man is inside of the home, when the man is leading his family, when the man is praying for his family, when the man is leading his household, the whole family is stronger. The wife is happy. THE WIFE IS HAPPY. The wife IS HAPPY. >> THE WIFE IS HAPPY. >> THE CHILDREN ARE HAPPY. THE WHOLE HOUSE IS GOING WAY BECAUSE THE man is the priest of the home. >> Yes, sir. That's why I like you right there. That's why. Hear me tonight. I got y'all. That's why when Jesus got baptized, don't miss it, y'all. It's powerful. When Jesus was baptized in the river Jordan, follow the story right now. The Bible says Jesus was in the water and the spirit descended like a dove and then the heavens opened up and what did God the Father say? This is my beloved son whom I am well pleased. You missed it. Jesus had never performed a miracle. He had not done anything special at this time. BUT HE HEARD THE FATHER, HIS FATHER SAY, "THAT'S MY BOY. I'M PROUD OF YOU. I LOVE YOU." AND THE next thing you know, Jesus ends up in THE WILDERNESS BEING ATTACKED BY THE DEVIL. BUT THE REASON JESUS was able to have victory over Satan is because he just heard his father say, "I got your back." >> Hallelujah. >> Every family needs a godly father that's going to stand for the truth no matter what. I'm preaching tonight, but God told me to say these things tonight. to lead your family. I have two two young uh not so young, but young black boys I'm leading right now. My oldest is 20 years old. My second is is 15 years old. My oldest is a sophomore at Oakwood University. My youngest is a is No, no, he's a junior. Oh, Oakwood, they started school yesterday. He's a junior at Oakwood University. My youngest is a junior in high school at the academy, Oakwood Academy, Adventist schools. And I've made up my mind as a minister, what would it profit me to gain the whole congregation and lose my own family? I refuse to allow the enemy to have his way with my family every day. Like a job, I've got to pray for my children. I got to pray for my family. I've got to show what a man is all about because a woman can do it well, but a woman cannot teach a man how to be a man. Birds of a feather flock together. Help me somebody tonight. >> You need to be a man in these last days. Barameus is blind. He is bankrupt. He is helpless right now. But he has a father. But the father is nowhere to be found. And I'll say it one more time. We need to stand up as men. >> I'm sorry to shout and get so loud tonight. Maybe I'll whisper right now. We need to be the men of God. >> Amen. >> That love our families and love our wives. >> I made in my mind, I'm going to be the best. And y'all y'all can hate if you want to. I'm going to be the best husband that I could be. >> Oh, when my wife looks at me, I want her to say, "Oh, that's my man right there." >> Oh, that boy right there is so good. Look, go ahead, look at her right now. Come on, look at her right now. Amen. She got a smile on her face. Hallelujah. >> Yeah. I'm going to be the best that I can be because God has called us, this is prophetic, y'all, in the last days to be repairers of the breach. I took my children, my two boys, this past summer, not even a month ago, I took them, just them on a daddy son vacation. I had never done it in my entire life. My wife always comes with us. But this time, my wife is like, "I'm not going with you. Spend time with your sons." >> Hear the power of the Holy Ghost. Now, hear me tonight. Somebody, somebody's going to be set free in Jesus name right now. I spent the week with my sons. We boarded an airplane, went across the country, got a nice hotel room, and I did my spoil them every single day. I said, "I'm a I I only got one life to live and only one chance to raise my children. Every day I'm pouring into them. I'm listening to their conversation. They are rehearsing what it was like to grow up as a minister's son. And they had jokes and they had they had comments and they had all kind of things that were going on. But at the end of the day, at the end of that week, I never understood how much we needed to spend time together. when they got into because I was flying a different place to go to preach. I going to preach. I believe I was going to preach. Where was I going? I was coming back home. No. And they got in the plane and they went one direction. I went another direction and I had Don't Don't judge me. I had tears in my eyes because of the time that we spent together. I guarantee you that week that we spent together, they will never ever forget it for the rest of their lives. >> I've bought them Michael Jordan shoes. They wear them out and don't care about them. I spent $150, $200 on some sneakers. Call me crazy. Amen. and and they will wear them out. But when I spend time with them, can I give you one more tonight? I feel I feel the Holy Ghost. My youngest son, both of my boys play basketball. My youngest son is some serious. That boy got some skill. Both of them are bad, but I mean, they take out there their daddy. Amen. And I'm I'm sorry, y'all. I I got some skill as well. Just just it's okay to laugh. Amen. It's okay. I'm telling you the truth. I would not lie in the pull pit. Amen. I I got some serious skill. I was looking around for a basketball a goal, but I didn't see one. Amen. I don't see it. I don't see it. My youngest son, don't miss it. I'm talking about Tmus and Barnameus. My youngest son plays basketball and we're in Adventist school. We play in a league. Our game was on Wednesday night. They had scheduled one game on a Wednesday night. You know what Wednesday night is? You know what it is? What is it? Yeah. Some of y'all have no idea. Yeah. Every Wednesday is prayer meeting. The most powerful service of the church. My youngest looked at the schedule and said, "Oh no, we have a game on Wednesday night." He came, he comes to me and he says, "Dad," because he knows I go to every game. And by the way, when I go to the basketball game, I am that parent that hollers. Amen. >> If I can holler for Jesus, I can holler on the basketball court. >> PLAY DEFENSE. COME ON. GO. YES, [screaming] SON. YEAH. THAT'S MY BOY. THAT'S MY BOY. He said, "Dad, I have a game on Wednesday night. are you coming to the game? And I look at him and I say, "Son, have I ever missed a game?" And he said, "Dad, it's on Wednesday night." I said, "Son, I heard you." He said, "Dad, it's Wednesday night." I said, "Son, it's Wednesday night." >> He said, "Dad, don't you have church?" I said, "Son, family comes first. Amen. >> Amen. >> Oh, I know you couldn't say amen right there. You Pharisee, you >> I know you. I know all the pastors. God bless y'all. I have one chance and one chance only. If I miss one Wednesday night, the church is not going to collapse. >> Amen. >> Come on, say amen. Amen. >> But if I spend that time with my son Timus, that's not there for your father. My son will remember that I put the church above him. But now he knows that I could come to my daddy because my daddy will sacrifice. My daddy loves me so much that he'll spend time with me. AND WHAT GOD IS TRYING to tell us is that Barnameus, you need to have A FATHER THAT LOVES YOU. AMEN. >> That will be there for you. Barndameus is sitting by the wayside begging. He's sitting there every single day and he's hoping that that somehow things can change in my life. He's He's had bad situations. He He's gone through some things that have just been absolutely negative in his life. If the truth be told, all of us go through some things that are negative. The people have judged him and said that he could never get better. Matter of fact, 1st Samuel 16 and verse 7 says this. 1st Samuel 16 and verse 7. Take note, write it down. The word of God says, "For man lookketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks upon the heart." Sometimes we look at individuals. There it is. Sometimes we look at individuals and we say that they'll never amount to anything. They'll never be anybody. That you're always going to be the same person. But can I tell you tonight that when Jesus comes in, he gives you power. When Jesus comes in, he gives you victory in every area of your life. By looking at him on the outside, nobody paid any attention to him. He didn't look like anybody special. He didn't have dress to impress. He was another brother in the community that people would look off and say he's never going to amount to anything. The man has a 10K and a shabby coat. He doesn't have any wealth. He has nothing that is commendable. But the Bible says that he has faith. In Matthew 17 and verse 20, Matthew 17 and verse 20, the Bible says this again, if you have faith the grain of a mustard seed, you shall say unto this mountain, remove hence to yonder place, and it shall remove, and nothing shall be in possible unto you Nairobi central. Do you have faith? Do you have mountain moving faith? Do you believe that God is able to do what nobody else can do? How can we overcome this world? Go there right now. Go to First John chapter 5. Take your Bibles. Go to 1 John 5 and verse four. How can we overcome this world with all of its negativity, with all of its demonic activity? How can we overcome this world? 1 John 5 and verse 4, the Bible says, "For whosoever is born of God overcomes the world, and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith." You see, when we have faith in God, we believe that God can do the impossible. And I don't know about you tonight, but I believe that God is able. I believe that there's nothing too hard for God. For when we trust God, the Bible says, "Now thou faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Barameus is sitting by the wayside begging. But one day as he's sitting there, oh, I love this church, he begins to hear some commotion in the way. People are are are shouting and talking and and Barnameus is blind and he doesn't know what's going on. But even though he's blind, he can sense something in his heart. He begins to inquire, what is all the commotion about? What is ALL THIS NOISE ABOUT? WHAT IS GOING ON right now? And somebody tells Bartameus that Jesus is passing by. Bartameus begins to think to himself, "Wait a minute, is this the same man that I've heard open the eyes of the blind? Is this the same man that was able to heal the brokenhearted? Is this the same man that's done miracle after miracle?" So Bardameus thinks to himself that I'm not going to allow Jesus to pass by and not say anything at all. Barameus sits there and as the crowd becomes larger, it's almost as if a rock star is passing by and Barameus says, "No, no, no. I'm not going to remain in the same condition I've always been in." Church, hear me tonight. God does not want to leave us the same way he found us. God is looking at every single last one of us and God wants to change us from the inside to the outside. God is happy about your dress, but God wants to change your heart. Our hearts are desperately wicked. who can know them. GOD SAYS, "I WANT TO change you, but only if you surrender to me." God can change us and make us more than we ever could have imagined. He can take you from where you are right now and he can give you joy, unspeakable joy. He can make you abounding in his love. God loves you >> and he wants you for himself. And the reality is that Barnameus is blind. He's basically homeless. He has no friends. And society has written him off. But I would argue tonight that what Barnameus has on the inside is what we as Seventh Day Adventist need more than ever before. You see church have a head knowledge of God. We know that God exists in our minds. We can quote the 2300 days. We can talk about Daniel 7:25. We know all the mysteries in prophecy. But can I tell you tonight, if you don't have faith, you have nothing at all. We must believe that God is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. He wants you to seek him. When you get up in the morning, seek the Lord. When you go to your job, seek the Lord. When you're raising children, seek the Lord. When you have problems in your marriage, seek the Lord. When you need a financial blessing, seek the Lord. When you need to continue to walk forward, seek the Lord. BECAUSE WHEN YOU SEEK THE LORD, GOD CAN BE FOUND. He's a prayer hearing and a prayer answering God. You are looking at somebody that knows the power of God. I've seen God do more than I can ever imagine. Church, you must have faith in our God. >> Here it is. Barnameus is convinced that if somehow I can just get to Jesus, then Jesus is can able to restore me and open my eyes. And I would suggest that we need the same thing to spend more time believing that God is able. Write it down tonight. Luke chapter 1 and verse 38. The A part of that verse, the Bible says this. The a part of that verse says, "For with God, nothing, no, not anything shall be impossible." Turn to your neighbor and say, "Neighbor, nothing is impossible with God." >> Come on, tell them nothing is impossible with God. What you think is too hard, GOD CAN DO IT. OH, CHURCH WANT us to have faith right now. WHATEVER YOU NEED, GOD IS ABLE TO SUPPLY IT. HOW MANY OF YOU ALL BELIEVE God tonight? God is able tonight. I'm telling you, God is able. Oh, I feel like you don't have the faith. I said, God is able tonight. >> Hear me. Say one more time. God is able tonight. >> He's able. The very thing that you've been praying about, God is able to bring it to pass. >> Like, you need to know Pastor Lee has crazy faith. I believe that when I pray that God's like, "Oh, oh, oh, oh, William's praying. That's my boy. >> Let me hear what he has to say." And it's not always God, give me, give me, give me. But it's also God, I surrender. I surrender. I surrender. When you pray, God hears. When you believe, God answers. You see, the Bible says that sometimes we have not because we ask not. And sometimes we ask a mist. God is so good that he gives us the even sometimes the desires of our heart. Okay, you didn't say amen. Maybe you'll get me right here. I was praying one day and I was saying, "God, if you're really there, God," and I was in in the church and and I'm saying, "God, there's some things that I just I just need you to just to reaffirm me right now. God, I need a blessing right now. God, if and let me tell you, and God smiles because he's God. He knows us. Don't go to sleep. I said, "God, I just need a financial blessing right now." And let me tell you right now, let me tell you, when I got done praying that prayer, it wasn't a full day later that somebody sent me a cash app. Okay? Okay, you may have no cash app a direct deposit into my bank account. I said, Lord, I'm telling you tonight that the church of the living God would start taking God at his word, >> we can do more than we can ever imagine. If the church would come together and start praying again, if you would start having worship again, God would manifest himself like never before. >> Barameus is sitting there. He's begging. But here comes Jesus. Watch the text now. I'm almost done. Here comes Jesus. Jesus is leaving Jericho now. He's going to the outskirts of Jericho. Wherever the outskirts of Nairobi is, that's where Jesus is going. And when he's going out there, there are a whole bunch of blind and lame individuals who are are pressed down who don't have anything at all. When Jesus comes to them, here's your amen tonight. The Bible says that when Jesus is walking that Barameus says these words. He says, "Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me." Now, let me teach Bible. Pastor McKenzie, this is powerful. Pastors, Jesus never stops from chapter one of Mark. He only stops twice, maybe three times. I'm In the entire Gospel of Mark, Mark is showing that that Jesus is a man OF ACTION. HE'S ALWAYS ON THE MOVE. BUT THE ONLY time Jesus stops in the Gospel of Mark IS WHEN A BLIND man says, "Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me." And isn't it interesting that a blind man calls Jesus by his messianic title? [sighs] He's blind, but nobody to this point has called him the son of David. Only the demons in Mark five know who Jesus really is. The demons and a blind man know who Jesus is. But those that have sight have no idea who Jesus really is. The church has been bumping into him, but they've never called Jesus by his messianic title. So when the blind man says, "Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me." The Bible says, "And Jesus stood still." Because when you ask God for mercy, he always comes to your need. >> Amen. >> When you ask God for help, he's a good father. that loves to give good gifts unto his children. Luke 11:13, "If you being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to them that ask?" He says, "Jesus, son of David, have mercy." Now, watch the text tonight. The moment he cries out for mercy, Jesus stands still. And then the disciples say, "Bartameus, no, no, no, no. We don't do all of that. Please, Barnameus. No, no, no. Don't cry out like that. No, Barameus. Sh. Jesus. We don't cry like that in front of Jesus." church. When you get sick and tired of being sick and tired, when you get tired of being broke, when you get tired of being sick, when you get sick and tired of your issues, can't nobody shut you up. >> Amen. Hallelujah. >> And this the issue I have tonight because if you read the text tonight, notice what's going on. Who told Barnameus to be quiet in the first place? Anybody know? It was the disciples. The disciples of Jesus told Barardeus. Isn't that just like a good Adventist right there? Shh. Be quiet, Barameus. You're in the sanctuary. We don't cry out. Well, hear me. And they weren't in the sanctuary. They were outskirts. But when is it time to cry out to Jesus? Are you waiting for the right moment to get his attention? I don't care what's going on. You better learn how to cry out to Jesus. Amen. >> When my boys were young, we placed them in their own little beds, cribs, and let me tell you, my wife and I got in our bed because we wanted to make sure, "No, you can't get in our bed because if you get in our bed, you're going to stay in our bed." So, we put them in their own bed. But in the middle of the night, we could hear a [crying] And you know what we did? You know what I did? Ask my wife. The first time, not the second time, the first time, I jumped out the bed and I ran to the next room and I wanted to see why my son was crying out. Because when you cry, Jesus hears you. >> Amen. When you whisper, "God, I feel like giving up," he's always there. When you feel as if nobody understands what you're going through, Jesus understands you. He's a friend that sits closer than a brother. >> Amen. >> The disciples say, "Shh, Barnameus, be quiet." And Barnameus got indignant. He's And I'm so glad I that's why I love him because he he in other he's like, "Man, who you think you are? You have your sight. >> You can see. I'm blind. I got a ten can and a shabby coat. You walking with Jesus, but you don't even know who he is. I can see Jesus with my heart. That's why I called him the son of God. >> And the Bible says, watch this. This is powerful, y'all. That's why I come to preach the word of God. The Bible says that Jesus tells the very people that told him to be quiet, the same people that told him to sh were the same people that had to bring him to Jesus. Because sometimes God will use, can I say it tonight? Your haters as your motivators. >> Sometimes the very people that told you it could not be done are the people God will use to open the door for you. >> When Baremus, Jesus calls Barardeus, this is powerful. The Bible says, "Oh, I love the word of God." Barnameus, keep on the screen. Mark chapter 10 and let me get to the right verse. Mark chapter 10 and and look now at um at verse number 50 right there. Mark 10 verse 50. Here it is. Mark 10 verse 50. This is powerful. Now Mark 10:50. Jesus calls him. And then when Jesus calls him, he watch this. He cast off his outer his garment and he rose and came to Jesus. Now here's what you might not know. In Greco Roman world, when somebody was a lame individual, you know, lepers had to cry out, but if somebody was fought less than in society, they would put a garment on him to identify this individual as somebody who was a secondass citizen. Did you catch it? I'm g say one more time for those that that were asleep and missed it. Whenever somebody was considered to be less than and a secondass citizen, SOMEBODY WHO IS DOWN AND OUT, they would put a garment on him that would mark that this man is bad, this man is homeless, this man cannot make it. BUT THE MOMENT Jesus calls him, here's the power of God's word. He takes off his garment, because in his mind, THIS GARMENT REPRESENTS WHAT SOCIETY SAYS ABOUT ME. >> SO WHEN HE GETS A CALL FROM JESUS, he immediately says, "I'M NOT WHAT YOU THINK I AM." HE TAKES OFF HIS GARMENT AND NOW BEGINS TO WALK TO JESUS. >> AMEN. Because he says, "I'm not just what everybody says I am." >> He knew himself. He was a child of God. >> By the way, Baremus's name means worthy of honor. >> Amen. Even though his daddy had abandoned him somehow, maybe his mother gave him the right name. You're worthy of honor. Young people here, Pastor Lee, tonight, you are worthy of honor. >> You are the head and not the tail. >> The mark of greatness is all over you. You are brilliant. You are smart. You are capable. God has a plan and a purpose for your life. Don't ever let somebody tell you THAT YOU ARE SOMETHING THAT GOD DID NOT CALL YOU. YOU ARE the righteousness of God. >> You are holy IN HIS SIGHT. YOU ARE ALL THAT GOD CALLED YOU TO BE. WALK like a child of God. Talk like a child of God. Behave like a child of God. >> Amen. He throws off his outer garment and he walks to Jesus and Jesus asks him a question. He says, "What do you want me to do for you, my brother?" Isn't that a strange question again, Jesus? Like, I can't see. But you know the reason that God asks questions, do a whole study in God's word. Whenever God asks a question, it's not because he doesn't know, Adam, where are you? It was not a geographical question that God was asking. God was asking Adam, where are you spiritually? When God asks, "Can these bones live again?" He knows the answer. AND WHEN GOD ASKS BARNAMEUS, "WHAT DO YOU NEED?" HE WANTS BARARDDAMEUS TO CONFESS that he needs his sight back. Because Barardeameus said, "Jesus, can you hook a brother up? Can you just give me some more coin? Can you put a a a shilling Thank you so very much in my cup. Oh, I love y'all. Can you just put another bill in my cup? Bardameus did not need more change. He needed change. >> Amen. And Jesus says to him, look at verse 51 now, the last two verses I'm calling you tonight. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Well, thou, what shall I do unto thee, Lord, that I may receive my sight. Verse 52 says, "And Jesus said unto him," he said, watch this. He says, "Oh your way, thy faith has made thee." Watch this. What's the word? >> Whole. That word whole in verse 52 is not just you received your sight. Is that you are now a follower of me. >> I've restored your mind. I restored your heart. And now you are a child of God again. >> And the Bible says when he was made whole, he received his sight. And here's how you know that he was converted. How do you know this? Because he started following Jesus in the way. Amen. >> The greatest testament to a changed life is that you now begin to follow Jesus in the way. >> He wants your whole heart. He wants your mind. He wants your soul. He wants to do more than you ever could have imagined. So why not cast off your old life right now? Because if any man be in Christ, he's a new creature. Old things are passed away, and behold, all things become brand new. >> How many of you all believe God's word tonight? you believe God's word tonight. But if you believe God's word, let's do something about it. Today on this Tuesday, I've been praying to God all throughout the day. Lord, hear our prayers. Make us people of faith tonight. I don't know who you are, but in this last minute that I have right now, if if because the sermon is entitled, pass me not, my brother, real soft, because God wants [music] you right now. He wants you for himself. And what would camp meeting be if you just came to central, went to the workshops, went to the services, got all this information, but you did not yield to Jesus. I'm [music] calling someone right now, young or old, old or young. It doesn't matter who you are or what you've done. I want to tell you tonight that God's doors are open right now. And God wants to do more than you could ever could have imagined in your life. He wants you, my father's fathers. God wants you. He wants you to be not Tmas, but he wants you to be the leader and the father he's called you to be. Can you follow Christ tonight? Can you let go of the things that you've been holding you down? And can you now make your way to Jesus? Because Jesus is asking the same question right now. What can I do for you? What do you need from me? And the first thing you need is a renewed walk with God. I'm going to ask right now if you would stand to your feet right now. If you can't stand, stand. If you can't stand, stand. But before they start singing tonight, [music] I know my time. I know time everybody. We're leaving. We're leaving. But I believe somebody right now under the authority of Jesus Christ, you need to come and give me your hand [music] tonight. Can I shake your hand tonight? Can Can I welcome you back to what God has for you tonight? [music] Do you have the faith as my pastor's coming tonight? Do you have the faith to believe that God can do more than you ever could have imagined in your life? I have 120 [music] seconds right now. If that's you, I want you to come and join me at the altar right now. You need God and you want God to do something amazing. You want to surrender to God. You want to say, "God, I want to rededicate my life to you, God. Lord, I want to yield to you, God. Lord, I you can have all of me. If that's you, I'm asking you right now to please come. If you have a prayer request, put your prayer request in that box. We're praying for that right now. But I need you in the name of Jesus to walk quickly right now. If you want to give your life to Christ, [music] if you want to have the faith tonight to say, "God, I need you. Will [music] you come tonight?
