7 Claude AI “Second Income” Ideas That You Can Do On The Side Of Your Job

I'm going to show you seven Claude AI second income ideas that you can do on the side of your job. And this video is going to be for you if you're stuck making whatever you make right now, and it is just not covering what it needs to cover. Or if you want to eventually leave that first income behind so that you can take control of your life. Because here's the thing, one in four Americans already have a second income. But the average one only brings in about $885 a month. So every idea on this list can beat that number by a lot, and every one of them runs on Claude. I know this stuff works cuz I started off as a pharmacist and I was working a full-time job, and I felt completely stuck. But I knew that if I just quit, I would be screwed. So, I built a second income instead, and that second income has grown into a $10 million business. And I also help professionals and people with full-time jobs build their own second incomes. And by the way, this is coming from someone who has spent over $10,000 in a single month on Claude usage. And I'm not saying that to brag, but I'm saying it because we use Claude in our business every single day. So, we know what Claude is actually good at, and we know what it's not good at. And you don't need to spend $10,000 a month like I do, because we're constantly experimenting to see what the best stuff is. Okay, so it's a tradition on this channel to start off with a weird one, and that is going to be a baby sleep consultant. And you might be thinking, "Shane, what does this have to do with Claude?" Well, I'm going to show you that here in a second, because this second income idea is actually pretty insane. So, there is a woman named Jane Havens who makes over $10,000 a month teaching parents how to get their baby to sleep. So, what she does is she helps parents get their babies and their toddlers to sleep through the night, and you are essentially solving a massive painful problem for them. Anyone who has a baby knows this is true, because if a baby does not sleep, the parents don't sleep. And if the parents don't sleep, they cannot function at work the next day. So, these are basically parents who are struggling to get their baby down at night, and they will pay real money to fix it. Now, here's why this might be the perfect one for you specifically. There are so many young parents out there who also work full-time jobs. So, you basically have to find a way to get your baby to sleep because if you cannot sleep, you cannot wake up in time for your job, which means there's a good chance, if you're a parent or even if you had a younger sibling, you might already know how to do this. Now, this is where Claude comes in. So, you can have Claude build the entire plan for you. And here's the prompt. Build a 2-week gentle sleep training plan for a 7-month-old with three night wakings plus the parent intake questionnaire that I would send first. Now, this is a great way to get started, but then you of course you would add your own techniques on top of it because you are the one who's actually done this. Jane even went on a podcast breaking down exactly how the business works. And the part that stands out to me is where the money actually came from. She started by helping parents one at a time, and then she built a certification program to teach other people how to do it. And that second layer is where the business went from good to multiple six figures. >> $750 [music] for that 2-week virtual consultation. >> And really the point of all this is that you are helping other people get past a problem that you had already gotten past before, right? So, you already have the experience, you already have the wisdom, and you are already solved this problem, and you're just going to help other people do the exact same thing. So, maybe you're watching this and you're thinking, "Well, Shane, I've never helped a baby go to sleep." But the whole point is you're helping people solve problems that they've already had. So, let me give you an example. A community member of mine, Richard, had two problems at the exact same time. Problem one was that he had a brand new baby. Problem two is that he was working 60 to 80-plus hours a week, had a lot of investments like real estate investment properties, et cetera, and he was incredibly busy. Now, he could have gone down the route that we're talking about right here and taught other new parents how to survive that stage, but he went a different direction. He helps professionals build careers doing work that they actually love. And he helps them choose the right certifications and online degrees in order to land those jobs or in order to get a promotion in the job that they're already at. And he joined our community and his best month was around $12,000. And this is even though he was incredibly busy and he could only work 2 hours a month. So, same exact mechanism, totally different problem. So, you pick the problem that you've already solved. Next up is going to be coloring books, and the numbers on this one are genuinely ridiculous. So, there's an illustrator named Johanna Basford, and her coloring book Secret Garden has sold over 12 million copies. 12 million copies for a coloring book. So, the demand here was never the question. The bottleneck was always that somebody had to sit there and draw every single page. But now, the way you sell these is through Amazon KDP, which stands for Kindle Direct Publishing. And Amazon prints the book, Amazon ships the book, Amazon handles the customer, and you collect a royalty every time that one sells. And one of our community members does this. So, Shawn has made millions of dollars with Amazon KDP, and he even had a video walking through exactly how to make a coloring book. Now, watch what he's using in that video. >> All right, so I'll go back and create a deer with intricate pattern inside of it, no color, no shading, just for these things to get done. But don't expect it to happen 100%. Then thick lines, same thing. >> He's using AI in Canva, and he's stitching the pages together. So, that was the process back then. And this has now gotten much, much easier, especially with Claude. So, let me show you. You can just type this prompt into Claude. Can you make me a complicated-looking two-page coloring book? And then typically, you'd pick some sort of niche. And also, to keep things simple, I'm just going to do two pages here because I don't want it to take that long, but I just wanted to show you what Claude can do. And look at that. It made a complicated-looking coloring book page in a matter of minutes, and of course, you could do more and actually sell this. Now, with that being said, this is a simple way of doing this. And I want to show you a community member of mine for this one as well, Christine Lozada. And she has built a seven-figure business around this. And what she does is really smart. She goes on these cruises, she films them, and she puts them on YouTube. So, people watch her videos to figure out which cruise is worth it, and then she helps them actually find and book great deals on these cruises. And she is the person that you trust, so she is the person that you book through. >> I've been so many YouTube masterminds with DC, and then I was at DC Max. So, your name came up on more than 5,000 occasions. >> Okay. Okay, well, hey, I'm glad I've been able to be helpful. >> And here's where Claude does the heavy lifting. The part of this job that eats your entire evening is building the actual day-to-day itinerary. So, you can type this. Plan a 7-day Japan trip for a couple on a $4,000 budget day-by-day with the bookings to make and format it as a customer-ready document and please send me the links on where to book the destination so I can do it myself." Now, that's a simple way to do it. With that being said, you can actually even have AI do the bookings for you. Now, I know this is really valuable firsthand because we actually did this when we did a family trip where we got quoted by a travel agency $60,000. We thought that was pretty high. So, we had AI look into it and it turns out everything all together only cost about 20,000 and we just booked all of it ourselves. And that saved us $40,000. And it didn't take that long. Now, this used to take tens of hours of work. So, next is what's known as reverse recruiting. So, I think a lot of you are going to be able to do this one immediately. And this is the one that I will say that our community members have had the most success with. And it is called reverse recruiting. And the idea is simple. You have a first income and that means you have a job that somebody else wants. So, a great second income is teaching people how to get the job that you already have. >> You might be thinking, "Well, Shane, there's a reason that I'm looking for a second income in the first place." place. I get that. But there are a lot of people out there who just want a job, or they want to make money, and they will pay somebody to help them get there. And chances are, when you were first applying to your job, you really wanted that job as well. But now you're ready to move on to the next level. So, let me show you what this looks like at different levels. So, this is a community member of mine, Davis, and he teaches people how to become management consultants, which is a job that pays extremely well. And that was his first income. And his second income was teaching other people how to get into it. And he started that while he was still working his job. And his team helps with resumes, interview prep, portfolio, just the entire process of making it as easy as possible for people to land these jobs. And after joining our community, we were able to help him 4x his leads, and he has a seven-figure business doing this. Now, here's another one, the financial controller. This is another community member of mine, Bill, and he helps accountants become what is called a financial controller. So, picture an accountant making about $70,000 a year. A financial controller is a level above that. In that role, you can make six figures, even multiple six figures. So, he takes people who are already accountants, and he walks them up to the next rung. So, his first income was doing the job himself, and his second income was teaching it. And he got to 70k per month doing that. And it's not just finance jobs. It can be tech jobs as well. Nicole here teaches women how to get into cybersecurity roles, specifically governance, risk, and compliance, which is a very niche and, honestly, very boring cybersecurity job. So, very specific person, very high-paying role in a field that is mostly men. And she made it to $80,000 in a single month. And it doesn't even have to be tech or finance. For instance, Antoine helps African Americans land really good sales jobs. And his whole focus is career transitions for people starting over or switching lanes. And his first income was a corporate sales job. And he's a really busy guy. Right, he has kids, he's got real estate, he's got a lot of other things going on. And his second income was teaching people how to get into that job. And he makes six figures from it. Now, here's the part that I think that most people miss out on. Teaching other people how to get a job can actually improve your own job as well. Let me show you what I mean. Josh teaches people how to get into high-paying cybersecurity roles. And when we started working together, he was making less than a thousand dollars a month from it. Then he got to five thousand dollars a month, and that's already a big chunk of change on top of the first income. But then, something else happened. He started getting offers from FAANG companies and Fortune 50 companies. And if you don't know what those are, that's Facebook, Apple, Amazon, Netflix, and Google. And these jobs are statistically harder to get into than Harvard or Yale. So, he took one of those offers from a Fortune 50 company, and his first income went up, right? He was making multiple six figures a year, working a remote job, and he was able to travel the world. But then, his second income kept climbing, too. And he eventually hit over $186,000 in a single month in the time that he worked with me. >> And through consistently executing on the advice you gave me, I recently had a $186,000 a month, which is really, really crazy. >> And at that point, he quit the job because it became pretty obvious that it wasn't worth his time. So, it improved his first income, and then replaced it. Now, you're probably noticing something about all of these people. Every single one of them has a YouTube channel. And that's not a coincidence, because every single second income, side hustle, side income, whatever you want to call it, they all work if you have traffic. But none of it works if nobody knows that you exist. So, you can be the best person in the world at getting somebody hired, but if they've never seen your face, they are never going to pay you. So, you need traffic. And YouTube is where the absolute best traffic on the internet comes from. People come to YouTube when they're actively looking to solve a problem that they have. And when you post a YouTube video, it doesn't just make money right away, but it continues making money for years down the line, every single time that someone is searching for that problem. And that's the actual secret why these people are doing so well. They're not just good at the job, they are findable. And by the way, you can also take that YouTube content and then syndicate it to all the other social media platforms, as well, and get even more clients. Now, you might be thinking, "Shane, all these are office jobs and corporate jobs, so this might not work for me." Well, this is my brother, Zach. He's been in the trades his whole life. And what he does is he helps people pick the right trade career for them. And he's 50 years old, and he's not a tech guy at all. And I helped him get this going, and he does the heavy lifting with cloth. And he posted a video, and 29 days after he posted that first video, he made $214 in a single day. That's a $78,000 a year run rate, and that means he went from zero to full-time income in less than 1 month after starting. And his very first video using my systems did over 800,000 views. So, this is not a corporate job, and it's not a tech job and it still worked. And I know the other thing that you're thinking right now, "Shane, I'm too busy for this." Right? You might even be thinking, "Well, my first income is exactly what's making me so busy." Well, Zach only had to spend about 4 hours a week to do this because Claude and our systems were doing the heavy lifting. And the timing on this one matters because application season is starting right now. So, there's a guy named Carter Osborn who made $114,000 in a year doing this part-time. And he's since taken it full-time and reported over $222,000. And it was in a single year. And he says he only works about 10 hours a week. So, he's basically coaching high schoolers through their application essays at somewhere between 100 to 200 dollars an hour. And parents will absolutely pay for this because to them, it's not an essay. It is which school their kid gets into, which is incredibly important. Now, the important part here is that you are coaching, not writing. And even if it is, you can still have Claude do an essay. So, let's do this together with Claude. You could type something like this to get started. Interview me with eight questions to find my strongest personal story, then outline a 650-word essay in my voice, and coach me instead of writing it for me. Now, see what I just did there? It is pulling the story out of the student instead of handing them a finished essay. And that's what actually makes this work. And a community member of mine, Alex, does something pretty similar to this. He helps working adults finish college faster when they're doing online college and he makes about $15,000 a month doing this. So, you can really see how this can work as long as you find the right kind of niche based on a problem that you have already solved before. You just need to find what that problem that you solved is. We also had an 18-year-old join our community, Joaquin, who was really scattered and all over the place with his content and we helped him narrow his niche down and really just pick a perfect niche for him. And keep in mind, this is coming from someone who is 18 years old, so he didn't have that much experience. And that's what a lot of people say, right? Oh, Shane, I don't have enough experience. Well, if we helped an 18-year-old do this then we can help you as well. So, we basically helped him narrow it down to helping foreign exchange students get into elite universities in the United States, which is exactly what he did himself. And he made it to $80,000 in a single month and we joked that he was making more than the president of his university, which he was. Now, additionally, he was very busy. He was an engineering and business double major and when he started posting videos, he literally had so many people that wanted to join his one-on-one coaching that he had to open a wait list and completely shut down his community and he completely stopped making videos as well because he just had too many people that wanted to work with him. So, that's pretty good for an 18-year-old business owner. All right, next is going to be matchmaking. So, I want to show you the price tag on this before anything else. This guy paid a matchmaker $21,848. So, there are absolutely people paying for this and there are a few different ways that you can play it. The first one is helping people with their dating profile and that alone is a real business because most people are genuinely bad at describing themselves. Now, the second one is being fully in the weeds and actually finding the person and making the introduction. Now, that is the hardest version and it's also the one that you can charge the most for. So, just like this article right here says, professional matchmaking can cost anywhere from $1,000 to $1,000,000 plus dollars in 2026. So, yeah, people pay a lot for this. Now, the third way is building an app, which already exists and it's honestly very competitive. So, I don't recommend it if you're a beginner. But I want to show you this one anyways because it is kind of funny. There's a guy named Blake Anderson who built an app called Riz GPT. It helps people figure out what to actually say to their match. Now, he was 23 and he was not an engineer. And they renamed it for whatever reason to plug AI, which is honestly a way worse name. I thought Riz GPT was great. but let me show you the version of this that's actually reachable. Two community members of mine, Damien and Kennedy, are a couple who help other people find a Christ-centered partner. In their words, they help people find a kingdom partner. And they got their first paying customer 20 days after they started working with us. And their program is $2,500. So, you do not need an app and you do not need $21,000 clients. You need one specific type of person that you understand better than anybody else. So, you could type something like this. Turn these two intake questionnaires into a compatibility report with five shared value talking points and a first date plan. All right, so number seven is going to be very simply just teaching skills from your first income or just teaching skills that you've learned in life in general. So, I want to show you a really specific example of this. There's a community member of mine named Steven. He teaches a very specific piece of engineering software called Siemens NX. That is it and that is the whole channel. Right, this is a super niche software that only very specific types of engineers use. So, you'd probably think, well, he's not going to make any money doing that, right? He actually made over $12,000 in course sales in just a few months. And that is a skill that he already had from his job. And he did not learn anything new. He just taught the thing that he was already doing all day. Now, you might be thinking, "Shane, I don't want to talk about my job." That's fine, because you can teach the path instead of the job. And he helps people graduate from college significantly faster than you'd normally be able to. Typically, bachelor's degrees take 4 to 5 years and he can help people graduate in a year sometimes or even less. And he has a six-figure business doing this. And it doesn't even have to be a job. For instance, Nathan teaches people how to get good at chess. And he made it to a full-time income doing this. And that's a hobby. Here's another one. Community member of mine is a tennis coach. And she'd been on YouTube for 9 years and never had a single video go past 30,000 views. We got one of her very first videos that she made with us got to 92,000 views. And one more because this one is closer to what most of you might actually do. There's a community member of mine that was a CMO and she was very busy. She could only work about 2 hours a week because her whole career was marketing and she had a very demanding and high-paying job. And she started a small channel and she made it to $10,000 and then she got 37 clients and now she quit her CMO job and she went all in. And this is both online business owners like Carla, who only has a 1,500 subscriber channel, but she closed a $106,000 a year contract, but also in-person business owners like Craig, who owns one of the biggest realty companies in Montana, and one of his very first videos with us got over 100,000 views, even though he's in his late 60s. We also work with YouTubers who are getting a lot of views, but they're struggling with monetization. An example of that would have been Jud. He already had hundreds of thousands of subscribers, but he was having a lot of trouble actually monetizing his channel properly.
