5 Best Early OP Aniimo & Evolutions You Need To Get / Best Early Team (Beginners Guide)
Watch on YouTubeVideo summary
The video provides a comprehensive guide for beginners looking to optimize their early game progression in the game Animal Crossing: New Horizons by identifying the top five animals to capture. The host emphasizes that while all captured animals have grades ranging from common to perfect, lower-tier animals can eventually reach maximum stats with enough resources; however, higher-grade animals like elite and perfect ones require significantly fewer materials to max out their potential. Despite this, the guide asserts that even common or good grade animals are perfectly sufficient for early-stage gameplay. The primary focus is on selecting creatures that offer immediate benefits in exploration, combat, and team composition without requiring excessive investment at the start of a fresh run.
For exploration purposes, the Celestia is highlighted as an essential addition to any player's inventory due to its unique ability to both fly and climb walls. This dual capability allows players to access high-up chests and loot that would otherwise be unreachable, making it a superior choice compared to other early-game options that lack one of these traits. While the Celestia does not need to be part of the active team of four animals, having at least one in the inventory is crucial for navigating the map efficiently. Additionally, the Skippy water-type animal is recommended for its swimming abilities and its potential to evolve into a powerful healer or tank named Pranky later on, though it is primarily suggested as a useful backup option rather than a core team member at this stage.
In terms of combat and healing capabilities, the Flutterin is presented as the best early-game healer available, featuring a passive trait called "Flutter Heal" that continuously restores health to the entire party. This creature can be evolved into Grace Wing once it reaches level 21 and the player obtains a Gusto from the first alpha boss in Turbo, allowing it to become one of the top-tier healers in the game alongside Glacia. Another standout combatant is the Formblade, a Nova form animal found in the Sea of Flowers area that deals massive damage with its ultimate move, Elegant Port. Its passive ability grants stacks of "Sword Dance," which significantly increase attack damage, making it a powerhouse for dealing damage early on. Finally, the Wispus is introduced as a nighttime-only catch in the Mistwoods or Berry Line Valley areas, which evolves into Ignitus, an incredible lightning tank capable of stacking damage and cloaking to escape danger when overwhelmed.
To successfully evolve these creatures, players must follow specific requirements such as reaching certain levels, obtaining rare stones like the Wave Stone or Night Stone from alpha bosses, and capturing multiple variants of the same animal in succession. For instance, evolving Wispus into Ignitus requires defeating three identical forms at night within the Berry Line Valley area and acquiring a Night Stone from the Forest of the Falling Stars boss. The guide concludes that by securing these five animals—Celestia, Skippy, Flutterin, Formblade, and Wispus—players will have a well-rounded team capable of handling exploration challenges, sustaining their party through healing, and dominating early combat encounters with high damage output and survivability.

Okay, so I have started animal probably
like four times now uh in regards to
fresh runs. And today guys, because of
this, I feel I'm in the right spot to
give you what are, in my opinion, the
very best early and more to the catch.
These will be best for progression,
exploring, and combat early on. So,
let's go. How's it going, guys? My name
is DPJ, and if you do enjoy the video,
leaving a like really helps out. And if
you like what you see and want to see
more, be sure to subscribe. Also, I have
dedicated a uh server category within my
discord for animal players who want to
come and join, play, chat, team up,
trade, and much more. Again, my discord
is linked down below. Okay, so as I've
said, I've started a fresh multiple
times within animal. The first time I
did, I didn't know what to do in regards
to the best animal to get early to help
my progression. But as I played, I
quickly learned through capturing
hundreds of animal, the very best early
game animal, which would drastically
help players out. Now, it's important to
note animal in this game can massively
differ in regards to capturing them,
even if it is the same animal. That's
because there are indeed grades to
animal. We have common, good, elite, and
perfect grades, which you can see upon
you capturing them. What these do, guys,
is they basically determine your animals
in stat tiers upon capture. While lower
tiers can eventually reach identical
maximum stats as a higher um graded
animal uh through enough investment, so
you're going to have to spend quite a
few materials, the higher tiered ones
like the elite and perfect graded animal
that you catch will use way less
resources in maxing out their stats. So
do keep that in mind. But what I will
say is on the basis of today's video,
good and common animal will help just as
much early game. That is for sure. But
it is something for you to think about
as you progress.
Okay, so let's get into the animal I
suggest you getting first. And first up,
guys, we have a very common animal you
may already have because it's one of the
first you'll probably see, and that is
Celestice. And the great thing about
this dude is you don't even need him in
your party to make the most of him.
We're not going to use him in our team
of four. We just want to make sure we
have him within our inventory, within
our catch. And the reason this guy is so
important is for exploration. This dude
can not only fly, which is massively
important, he can also climb. So, if you
are exploring and you see things up
high, chests, loot, uh things that are
out of reach, only way to get to them is
to fly or climb, this guy is a twoin
one, which actually haven't seen another
early game twoin one who can fly and
climb. So, this guy is absolutely
perfect for that. And as I said, he
don't need to be within your actual team
of four. If you just latch onto a wall,
he will start climbing. If you jump off
a high ledge and press jump again,
you'll transform into this dude and
you'll fly. It really is that simple,
people. Okay, so how you get this guy?
Quite straightforward, actually. Within
the very first area of Nimbus Fields on
the left shoulder, this area right here,
guys, you'll start seeing many of these
dudes catch away. And to be honest, you
only really need one. I mean, whatever
his grading is, it doesn't really affect
you in regards to what we're actually
using him for. So, yeah, have one. Make
sure he's in your um your inventory, and
you're good to make the most out of this
dude. Okay, so another early game Animo
you can indeed get, although I've added
this uh definitely for the long run, but
early game it has its uses. The animal
is indeed Skippy, the water type animal,
uh which is very useful in swimming
early game. It also evolves into pranky
uh for hitting just a level 12, no
resources required. But at a level 20
guys and with a wave stone, which we'll
get later on, it becomes one of the very
best healers or tank healers in the game
in Glaci. What I will say is this isn't
going to be an option early game though,
but having Skippy within your inventory,
just like a Celestius isn't a bad thing.
And again, you can get this guy real
early game within Nimbus Fields. See him
right here on the map, people. Okay, so
talking of a healer, this is the one I
recommend for your party. Um, the best
early game healer you can get is indeed
Flutterin. So this little fella when in
your team of four has that passive trait
of flutter heal, where this dude
passively heals your team. This is an
absolutely incredible thing and the fact
you can get this dude real early is
amazing. Uh, so this animal can be found
within the Nimbus Fuels guys. So nothing
stopping you getting this guy real real
early game as you see right here. But
the best thing about this guy is as you
slightly progress is his evolution, his
grace wing. This is an incredible healer
up there with Glacia. Although Glacia,
as I said, has that tank to its game.
Um, this one don't, but even still,
guys, as a healer within your party,
this thing is amazing. And to evolve
Flutter into Grace Ring, there's nothing
stopping you really doing this early
game. Uh, Flutter needs to be a level
21. You need to have that gustom which
you get from the first alpha boss of
Turbo within Nimbus Fuels who's only
like a level 12 or 13. You can take him
out quite easily. And then guys, you
need to come to this point in the map in
the sea of flowers. Then once you've met
all those requirements, you'll be able
to evolve this dude into Gray Swing
again. One of the best, if not the best,
early game healer available to all
players. Super super easy. So yes, do
what you got to do people. Okay, so the
next up guys, we have formblade. So this
nova form animal can be caught very
early game. No evolving, no nothing. And
man oh man, this thing hits like a
truck. In regards to that DPS, this
thing absolutely slays with its ability
and it's ultimate in elegant ports. And
this thing combos and it looks super
super cool at the same time. Its passive
is amazing too, but each skill used
grants one stack of sword dance up to
four stacks lasting 15 seconds each. And
each attack costs one stack and deals
180% extra damage. Like what? Okay, so
this animal is truly amazing. It's a
powerhouse early game and it's one I
100% recommend you coming and getting.
Okay, so this animal can be found within
the sea flowers area. When you first
come here, it's near the chest in this
location right here, guys. Um, now if
you've already come here and you've
taken this guy out without capturing it,
if you fast travel away, uh, basically
skip time by a full day and then come
back, it should be within the same spot.
It should reappear for you to catch. So
yes, guys, you need this guy in your
life. You need him in your party. It's
super super cool. Okay, so the last
animal I recommend for today is Wispus.
Now, this is an animal you get within
the um Mistwoods area or just above it
in the B line valley, but at nighttime
only. Now, this animal itself isn't the
actual goal here. It's what it evolves
into in Ignitus. And if you catch a
second, and I recommend you capturing
two of these guys down the line, as you
progress the game, you can evolve the
second one into Fment Mintis. an
incredible lightning tank is one of the
better animals I've used in the game.
But for today's video, we'll keep it a
little simpler cuz it is early game.
That's what this guide is for. Uh, and
we'll keep it early. We'll keep it
simple with Ignitus, who is also an
incredible animal. Now, what I will say
is to evolve your Wispus, uh, it needs
to be at least a level 29. And then
guys, you need to twine with this little
dude and the free three wispists of the
same form in succession, which can be
done within the area you caught this
dude within Berry Lion Valley, but it
has to be at night time. By line, you'll
see right here, guys, beholds way more
of these little dudes than the Mistwoods
area. So, yeah. But if you come here
guys, what I will say is there is a few
different variants to this dude. But you
need to in regards to evolving him uh
once you try with him, you need to
defeat three of the exact same form. And
this little dude can come with a dark
grass form or just a dark form. But
within uh this berry line veil area,
it's mostly just dark form. Um so you
shouldn't have a problem here. But if
you twine with him, take three of these
out in succession, you are good in this
regard.
You will also need the night stone which
comes from the alpha boss within the
forest of the falling stars which is not
a hard fight at all people. So come
here, take out this alpha and get one of
these stones and you are good. And then
guys, you really just have to go to the
Mistwoods or Blisswood area seen here on
the map. And then you can evolve this
dude. It really is as simple as that.
And getting an incredible,
incredible animal in Ignitus. Uh now,
what I will say is it's one of my
favorite hard-hitting animal in the
game, especially early on. Um it's one
can get relatively easy to as I've said.
But what I love mostly about this is
when it comes to crowded areas, this
thing thrives with its trait allowing to
stack that damage. And with how this
thing attacks, fast flowing combos and
then you have its ultimate in dimension
rupture. But not only that, guys, it
also cloaks, which is a great escape
route if you get overwhelmed, but it
also flies very, very efficiently at the
same time. It's a incredible animal to
get early game. And with today's guide
guys, you should have it in no problem
at all. But there we have it guys for
the what in my opinion are the best
early game to have. And on that note,
the end of the video has indeed arrived.
If you enjoyed it, leave a like. Really
helps out. If you like what you see and
want to see more, be sure to subscribe.
And hopefully guys, I will see you on
that next one.
