promise one of them fits you better than
you think. Now, let me kill the thing
that you've been told every single time
that you've looked into this. That you
need to learn something new. Go back to
school, get the certificate, start over
at 55, and hope that something takes.
Well, that is the most expensive lie
aimed at people your age. And it's
completely backwards because you don't
need to spend thousands of hours
learning a completely new skill set when
you've already spent tens of thousands
of hours learning things throughout your
lifetime. And you can get paid for that
knowledge, wisdom, and expertise, but
only if you do it in a very specific
way. And we're going to show you a bunch
of different examples of people doing
exactly this. And we're going to show
you exactly how much they're making
doing it as well. Plus, I'm going to be
showing you how you can use Cloud AI to
do 90% of the heavy lifting so that you
don't have to learn the new skills
because Claude AI already knows those
skills and all you do is you have to use

right, so the first one we're going to
talk about is selling keepsakes on Etsy.
So you make something that people buy at
emotional moments like weddings, new
babies. So kind of like baby showers,
funerals, or a pet dying or something
like that, right? And then you list it
where millions of people are already
searching for exactly that. So Rodney
Melton is an example here. He was 55 and
he was working 60 hours a week at a pet
food plant in Arkansas for $31 an hour.
And he'd worked with concrete and stone
as a hobby for years. So he started
making headstones for people's pets out
of a workshop 75 ft out of his own back
door. And 14 months later, that shop did
nearly $20,000 in sales in a single
month, and he quit his job. And then the
year after that, it made over $27,000.
And by the way, these are documents that
were reviewed by CNBC. And so, a guy who
spent 60 hours a week making pet food
got out by making pet headstones, which
is pretty interesting. Now, you might be
thinking, well, Shane, Etsy is for
crafty people. Wrong. I've seen people
selling simple stuff as well, like
candles, bracelets, and making a lot of
money. So, this is Dylan Jarus, and
she's a multiple six-figure Etsy seller,
and she makes $50,000 a month on Etsy
with no ads. So, the ceiling here is
high, as long as people know what you're
selling. More on that later. And here's
why this one fits. If you can't retire
yet, you're not picking up a second
shift. A listing sells while you're
still working the first one. And the
part that used to kill people here,
writing 100 listings, answering every
single grieving customer, Claude does in
one evening. So, think about a vending
machine. You spend one Saturday building
it and stocking it. Then, it takes money
at 2 in the morning. on a Tuesday while
you're at work or on the week that
you're on vacation and you didn't get
paid more per hour. You just stopped
being the thing the money runs through.
So Rodney was inside that plant 60 hours
a week when those headstones were
selling, right? So he did the work one
time and then it kept making money
passively even if he's doing something
else. Now you might be thinking, I don't
have 30 years with concrete. Well, you
don't need 30 years for the thing that
you're selling, right? There's a guy in
my community named Rick, for instance,
who has zero experience with Etsy or
anything like that, and he spent 40
years in the military, which has
absolutely nothing to do with what he
sells. But he retired, bought a 3D
printer, and learned it from scratch.
And now he designs things, prints them,
and sells them on Etsy. And his whole
goal was to make $2,000 a month, which
is enough to travel and finally feel
free. And Rift figured out the second

to open it and type the first thing.
Now, you might be thinking, teaching AI,
Shane, that's for 22 year olds. Well, if
you don't believe me, just take a look
at this couple. This is a channel AI for
50 plus. And look at what their videos
actually are. How to talk to AI, how to
open it, why experience matters more
than tech skills. And that's just the
basic stuff. And they're not experts on
this. They just know it a little bit
better than the average 50-year-old. So,
they're just a few steps ahead of
somebody who just started with AI and
they're teaching older people
specifically how to get started with it.
So, the people who need this the most
are your age. And they can't learn it
from a 22-year-old who skips the part
where they don't know what a tab is.
Right? So, you're not competing with the
experts. You're the only one who
remembers being confused. And in the
early 1800s, there were schools with 300
kids, one teacher, and no money. So, the
kids who learned yesterday's lesson
taught the kids behind them. And they
called them monitors. And it worked so
well, it spread across England and
America. And not one of those kids was
an expert, but every single one was one
day ahead. And you might be thinking,
"Everybody's already doing this." Well,
there's a guy in my community named
Luis. He teaches AI tools and
productivity in Spanish. Because here's
what nobody thinks about. Almost all of
this is in English, which means every
other language on Earth is a wide open
room with nobody standing in it. So,
you're not late. You might be first. You
just have to pick the room. And by the
way, when it comes to AI, you don't have
to just pick older people or just pick
different languages. You could
specialize in a very specific type of
AI, like AI for accountants or AI for
data analysts, etc., etc., there's a lot
of different ways to niche down on this.
Now, with YouTube, it doesn't have to be
AI. Could just be about the job that you
had before. Like my brother Zach, for
instance, who worked in the trades. He's
not a tech guy. He's never been on
camera in his entire life. He's never
edited anything. He's never touched any
of this. But the first video he uploaded
blew up and got 823,000 views. In 29
days after uploading that very first
video, he got monetized and made $214 a
day. And that's a $78,000 a year run
rate. And to end his first year on
YouTube, Zach just got to $18,000 in a
single month. And he didn't get better
at his job. He just got known. So it
could be about what you're doing right
now. Like R.J. the unretired, one of our
community members. R.J. talks about
social security, retirement math, and
when to take your benefits. And that's a
decision that's worth tens of thousands,
maybe even hundreds of thousands of
dollars, possibly even a million dollars
plus that people are terrified of
botching. And one of his videos has done
1.4 4 million views. Another one's done
418,000 and another one 350,000 and he's
making five figures. So nobody clicks a
social security video for the fun. They
click it because they're scared of
getting it wrong. Now everybody I've
shown you so far is getting paid by
YouTube directly. But that's not even
the biggest thing that this does.
There's a great guy in my community
named Weldon. He spent 20 years in the
military, retired last June, and went
into real estate. And he makes videos
about downsizing and decluttering for
people over 50. Boring stuff. Three of
them have crossed 100,000 views. Then an
85-year-old man in Colorado left him a
voicemail and asked him to meet up at
Starbucks. And Welon told him that there
was a good agent that's two-hour closer.
And the man said, "Nope, I've watched
four or five hours of your content.
You're the only one that I want to work
with." And Weldon told him the distance
meant a higher rate. And the gentleman
said that it did not matter, right? He
was willing to pay Weldon more just to
work with him. And that's a stranger on
the internet who decided that he trusted
Weldon before Weldon even knew he
existed. And he's had a bunch of leads
like that since July. And of course, in
real estate, those leads are worth a lot
of money. So, you might be thinking,
well, fine, that works if you already
own a business, but I just have a job.
And a good example of somebody in that
exact spot is nurse Jyn. She spent 33
years in nursing. She's got no business,
no product, nothing to sell. And she
just started talking about what she knew
about health, right? Like navigating the
healthcare system, longevity for older
people specifically, etc., etc. And she
started making money right away. So, the
first month she got monetized, she made
$6,000. The next month it was $8,000.
And the month after that, it was
$10.5,000.
And that's just in AdSense money alone.
And she was in the exact same situation
that you're in right now just a few
months ago, watching these videos,
wondering if this was for her. And it's
really more than she was making as a
nurse. So, she quit. And here's my
favorite part. Right now, Jyn is driving
around the country in a camper van.
Every video she uploads, she records in
the van. And the reason she's able to do
this is cuz she quit her job as a nurse.
And so, she's able to drive around the
country in her camper van recording the
videos in the back of her van. But she
couldn't have quit her job as a nurse if
it wasn't for this YouTube channel that
she started, right? And none of these
people are special. Now, if you want to

lemons into lemonade. And the worst
thing that has ever happened to you
might be the thing that actually gives
you an advantage on YouTube. And it
might be the thing that you can help
other people do or inspire other people
with. Now, there's a channel called Him6
Kardashian. And about a year ago, this
guy was in a catastrophic car accident,
and he was 19 years old. And he came out
of a coma with burns across his face and
body, three fingers on one hand, and
doctors telling him that he wasn't going
to walk again. So, he started a channel
not to make money, but to process it and
to show people what surviving actually
looks like from the inside. And two days
later, he posted one video called My
Life Sucks and I don't want to do it
anymore. And that video got 1.4 million
views in 48 hours. And it grew his
channel to 75,000 subscribers. And it's
not a one-off. Why I'm okay is a video
that got 1.5 million views. How I beat
death got 519,000 views. Now, here's
what actually happened here. He didn't
get a lucky video. He had the one thing
that every single person on YouTube is
fighting for and nobody can buy, which
is a reason to care. Now, here's why
this matters. If you can't retire yet,
you've been treating the worst chapter
of your life as the reason that you're
behind. The layoff at 57, the divorce,
the diagnosis, the business that went
under, the four years that you lost
taking care of your mother. That is not
the thing that disqualifies you. That's
the only part of your story that anybody
is going to stop for. It's the only part
of your story that makes you unique. The
problems that you've had, the pain that
you've felt in your life, that's an
opportunity for you to actually help
other people overcome those same
problems. And for other people, help
them overcome the pain. Right? And this
isn't a YouTube thing. This is a very
old thing. Right? In 1925, an
18-year-old girl in Mexico City was
riding a wooden bus that got hit by a
street car. And her back was broken. Her
collar bone, her ribs, her pelvis, they
were all shattered. And she spent more
than a year in bed. And in that bed,
with nothing else she could physically
do, she started painting. And her name
was Freda Ko. And she's now one of the
most famous painters who has ever lived.
And almost everything she is famous for
came out of the accident that was
supposed to end her. So she didn't paint
in sight of it. She painted because of
it. And it doesn't have to be that
dramatic. It just has to be true. For
instance, one of our community members
is Guy and he has tenitus which is
constant ring in the ears, right? It
doesn't stop. It doesn't get quiet. It's
just there all day every day. This
shrill ringing sound in your ear, right?
So, this is very debilitating. A lot of
veterans have it. My dad's a veteran. He
has it as well. And you might think that
it's a minor annoyance, but it never
goes away. Now, most people would file
that under the thing that you have to
live with. And they would say that it's
a very bad thing. But when life gave Guy
lemons, he turned it into lemonade. And
Guy made it into a channel. Now, all he
wanted when he started was a little bit
of retirement money. His goal was to
make 1 to2,000 extra dollars a month.
And before he even hit 500 subscribers,
he landed a $1,500 brand deal with 456
subscribers. And he did it by helping
other people who have tenitus make the
tenitus better, manage it so it doesn't
get worse or even prevent other people
from getting it in the first place. Now,
let's talk about how to do this with
clot. And this is the one where people
freeze because writing about the hardest
thing that ever happened to you is not
easy. And most people never get past the
blank page. So, don't write it. Talk.
Open Claude. Hit the mic button and just
say what happened out loud, out of
order, messy, nobody's reading it. Then
tell it to interview you. Ask me what I
left out and it will. What day was it?
What did the doctors actually say? What
were you thinking about at 3:00 in the
morning? What do you wish that somebody
had told you that week? And out of all
that rambling, it's going to hand you an
outline. What's video one? What's video
two? And what to call them. And that's
exactly what happened with Zach. He sat
down. He talked about the trades. And
Claude turned his rambling into his
first script. And that script took him
less than 15 minutes. And that video
ended up doing 822,000 views and blowing
up his channel. So Zach couldn't really
write a good YouTube script. He didn't
know how to and he didn't have to. And
neither do you. All right, so the next
one's interesting and that is getting
paid to tell AI that it's wrong. And
yes, this is a thing. So AI companies
hire people with real credentials to
review what their models say and explain
exactly why it's right or wrong. And
that explanation is the product. So in
April of 2026, The Guardian ran a piece
on this work and profiled five workers
aged 50 and older. Now, entry rates
started at about $20 an hour and it
moves to $30 to $40 an hour after you
prove out. And people who are top
experts in many different cases can make
up to $180 an hour or more. So CBS
reported that one of these companies
averages $105 an hour across everyone it
recruits. And for physicians, it's up to
$250 an hour. So a company with billions
of dollars is paying a doctor $250 an
hour to tell them that it's wrong. And
it's not just doctors, right? Nurses,
lawyers, accountants, electricians,
machinists, pharmacists, underwriters,
etc., etc. Anybody who is a subject
matter expert on something, anybody who
has experience on something, they will
pay you to train their AI models. So, if
you've done a job long enough to know
something's off before you can explain
why, you are on their shopping list. And
renting it by the hour is just one door
that you can take. See, there's a woman
in my community named Magda. She spent
her career in dialysis. So, she's
essentially a kidney nurse, and she
trains the technicians in person, one
room at a time. And these are the people
that she already taught. Then one video
reached past them out to regular people.
And that's when she found out something
that she hadn't considered. Everybody
cared about their kidneys, not just the
professionals, but everybody. So, she
stopped talking to the technicians and
started talking to the patients. And one
of her videos got 374,000 views in just
2 weeks. And she's phasing out the
in-person classes now. And even though
she's making really good money with her
in-person classes, she's actually much
more excited about the money she's
making online because it gives her much
more freedom. So, same license, same 20
years. She just pointed at the people
who were scared instead of the people
who were certified. So, can you actually
do this if you can't retire yet? Well,
this is the only one on the list where
the answer isn't just yes. It's that you
can only do it because you haven't
retired. The second that license lapses,
you are not eligible for either door.
And here's why this one fits you if you
can't retire yet. This is the only one
on the list that requires you to still
be in the field. Your license has to be
current. Your job can't quit isn't in
the way of this one. It's the entire
qualification. A machine measures a
frequency perfectly. Hit the note, read
the number, it's never off. But a tuner
walks in and says that the string is
fine on paper, but it still sounds wrong
in this room. Right? The machine
measures, but the human hears. That's
the difference, right? A machine can't
tell you if music sounds good or not
because that's extremely subjective. And
what sounds good now may not have
sounded good 50 years ago, for instance.
So, this is the emotional intelligence
that only a human being can have. And
this comes with wisdom, experience, and
knowledge, which is what you have if
you're on the older side. but she built
a channel with it and she could have
just as easily rented it out by the
hour. But here's where Claude comes in.
The hard part isn't working. It's
knowing what to even put on the
application because you've been doing
this so long that all of it feels
ordinary to you. So open Claude and tell
it what you do, where you trained, how
many years, the kind of cases or the
jobs that come across your desk. Then
ask it one thing. Where is what I know
actually rare? It's going to pull out
the stuff that you've never had thought
to mention. The one procedure, the
system nobody else got trained on, the
mistake that you catch every single time
that you assume that everybody catches.
And that's the line that you lead with,
not your job title, the thing that only
a few thousand people on Earth actually
do. You've been calling it just my job
for over 30 years. But that's the
product, your experience, your job, the
things that you spend a lot of time
doing because you started at a young age
or because maybe it's a sport that you
got really good at or it's something
that you're passionate about, so you
spend a lot of time on it. Those things
are things that you can actually get
paid for. Problems that you've had in
your past, you can also get paid for
those. Your knowledge, your wisdom, and
your expertise is valuable. So don't let
it go to waste. All right. Next is going
to be writing other people's books. So,
people want their life or their business
in a real book and they will pay
somebody else to write it. Now, by the
way, this doesn't just have to be a
book. This is where you're a ghost
writer essentially. So, you write stuff
for other people. It could be a book. It
could be their LinkedIn profile. It
could be their Twitter. It could be
their YouTube videos, etc., etc. But for
this particular case, we're going to
talk about a book. So, Judy is 85 and
she ran her own PR firm for years,
Madison Square Garden, the March of
Dimes. And she closed that agency in
August of 2005. right before her 65th
birthday and became a ghostwriter and
she wrote 60 books in 20 years. She
charges 150,000 for a full ghostwriting
project. And two things she said and I
want you to sit with both of them. I'm
making more money now than I did in PR
and I never considered retiring and
that's a dirty word to me. Now, she
started this business at 64 years old.
And you might think, but Shane, I'm not
a writer. I can't write. Well, that's
okay. That's why there's Claude. Claude
does the hard part. All you just have to
do is talk to it about your experience,
about how you want the writing to sound.
And as long as you know what looks good
to you because of your experience, you
can tell it to make something that looks
good like that. And you will be able to
recognize when it is actually good. And
to prove it, there's a guy on YouTube
who turned Claude into his ghostwriter.
And Claude writes exactly like him,
right? And there's a lot of people
making content about this and sharing
their different ways of having Claude
write better for different platforms or
different ways of writing or for
different niches, etc., etc. But the
whole job is getting somebody to talk
about their life while you record it.
And then Claude turns that recording
into an actual book or whatever platform
you're writing on, whether it's
LinkedIn, X, Twitter, etc. And in the
Great Depression, the government paid
unemployed people to go sit with old
folks and write down their life stories.
And that's how we ended up with the only
firsthand record of American slavery
that exists. More than 2,300 of them
sitting in the Library of Congress right
now. And none of those people were
writers, but they got paid to show up
before the stories died. So, let's talk
about how to do this with Claude. So,

asking you questions. What jobs have you
done? Who comes to you when they need to
talk? What kind of people are already
around you? And you just answer like
you're talking to somebody at a bar. And
it comes back with who your first
customer probably is, what to charge
them, and how to fit the sessions around
the job that you've already got. Then
you do the easy part. You sit down with
them, you put your phone on the table,
and you let them talk for an hour. Then
you give Claude the recording and it
writes out everything that they said. It
puts the whole life in order. It catches
the spots where your story doesn't line
up. Then it tells you what to ask next
time and the questions that you never
have thought to ask about. Then it
writes the chapters in the person's
words straight out of their own mouth.
You fix the dates and you take out the
parts that the family doesn't want in
there. And you're not writing a book.
You're just the person who showed up
with the recorder and asked the right
questions. Or you can just write your
own books, right? And this is exactly
