Morning everybody.
My morning
bottle of milk.
I love milk.
A little too much I think. I I I drink
it
everyday.
Makes me feel good, you know, it's
almost like a drug.
From Black River Falls, Wisconsin, we
slept here tonight. I showered and took
care of myself, cleaned myself all up
last night.
Milk is so
Now I'm ready to go home. Today we are
going to be driving almost non-stop.
Only stopping for required breaks when I
have to.
Bathroom breaks, stuff like that. Other
than that,
mile after mile after mile. Mile after
mile after mile.
Mile after mile after mile until I am at
the last mile and then I'm going to go
that mile, too.
I got to bring this trailer to our
secure yard where it's going to sit.
It's Saturday today when I'm filming
this, so it's going to sit there for
Sunday. I'm going to go home Sunday.
We got big plans this weekend.
I'm excited. Let's get going. We're
going to get a little wet today.
That's okay. A little water doesn't
scare us. I just had a shower last
night.
Now old blue can have one. Why not?
So the reason I'm so excited to go home
this weekend, other than the obvious and
you know, usual reasons,
uh like I was saying uh the last couple
of days, we're picking up our new camper
uh Monday afternoon after I deliver this
load.
Tomorrow I have to go get our old
camper, dig it out of the shop,
pull it to our house into our driveway
so that we can empty our stuff out of
it.
Get it all ready to bring in cuz we
got rid of that one or we're getting rid
of that one.
So Monday we'll pull the new one to our
driveway, we'll start loading it up a
little bit,
getting it ready for next season and
then next Well, then we'll put it in the
shop over the winter
and then next spring we're
moving into a seasonal campsite, which
is like a permanent campsite
on the lake
in Eastern Manitoba.
So it'll be a busy weekend. It'll be
really busy.
I had just packed our old camper away
for winter. It's all buried in the shop
cuz I didn't think I'd need to take it
out until next year.
Now I got to go dig it out.
Hey, the good news for next spring
though about my shop,
my truck will have the whole shop to
itself.
Doesn't have to share anymore.
Lots of room in there to work on it now.
I already fueled my tanks last night. So
now I am just ready to go.
Ready to go non-stop.
Got my coffee down here.
I bought it this time. I didn't make
myself. I got the intense energy coffee
from Flying J.
I just got to stop for my half hour
somewhere down the road.
Have a little bit of lunch.
Probably throw a video together real
quick for you guys and then
back at it.

under 600 miles to get home today.

Not going as soon as I could.

And the back sort of looks like a little
bit of a hot mess, but
I mean it's covered, it's doing its job.
The corners have corner protection under
there.
We got her tarped. We'll get her there.
And I'm hoping to unload yet. This is
the place where they're open later.
So I don't want to take too much time
here, but I wanted to show you what
we're up to.
And uh
I'll head on down the road from here cuz
after we're unloaded tonight,
we're going to try to get back up here.
Might just go to Baudette,

good day so far. It's beautiful. Nice
cool breeze. It's warm, but it's not
hot.
Can't believe we're into September now
already.
It was a really good summer though, and
I shouldn't say it was cuz we're still
in summer until September 21st. It's
still summer time.
We're on the tail end of it, but
it was pretty good aside from the the
fires up in Northwestern Ontario. That
was one bad down point.
But the tornadoes in my region on the
prairies in Canada this year, that was
another down point.
But I guess I can just speak for me
personally. Like it was a
really good really really good summer.
No bad weather didn't really find me
that often.
I know it may not have been so good for
others. Some people are
A lot of people around the world have
been through
devastating disasters,
but
I mean that's
that's going to happen somewhere.
There's always something going on,
right? But
for me this summer all of those
disasters seem to have missed me, and
I'm thankful for that.
We got out on the water the one time.
Didn't really do a lot,
but
you know, we got ourselves lined up for
a really exciting summer next year.
So we've got our seasonal campsite on
the lake that's being developed right
now.
Going to be ready for next spring. We've
got our new camper that we're going to
put on it permanently.
We got that at home now.
And
really looking forward to it.
Hopefully we get good weather all year
next year. And no fires. No fires.
Nice calm water on the lake here beside

Just coming up to the bridge over to the
US.
I don't know if this guy This guy

Well, his left signal's on, so I'm going
in beside him.

Driving to the night tonight.
It's going to be one of those nights.
But I got about another half hour
down to my delivery. I'm hoping they'll
unload me tonight yet still.
I mean, chances are pretty good. I know
the night shift guy there now and
as long as it's the same guy, I know
I'll get unloaded today. But, you know,
if he's sick or
got moved to a different position or
different shift,
then I'm not too sure. We might have to
wait till morning. But in that case, I'm
sleeping right at the gate. I am focused
like never before right now.
We
need to keep our eyes
I was going to say keep my eyes on the
road, but that's just a given,
obviously. But we need to keep our eyes
on the prize. That's the That's what I
was going for.
Now that we've got a plan for next
summer for the the campsite,
I've got to spend the rest of this year
and next spring, so the next 6 months,
just digging in,
focusing on work, getting as many loads
done as I can,
keeping the customers happy so they ask
me to come back again.
I always like it when
they compliment the work and request me.
Doesn't happen that often.
It's only ever like It's only ever
happened a couple of times, but what a
great compliment when a customer
requests that I deliver their freight.
That's good. I want them to be happy.
Then everybody's happy, right? If the
customer's happy, everybody's happy.
Ho ho, the gate is open.

Right on. It must be my guy in there.
I'm going to call him my guy.
He's a good guy.
If they're done unloading for the day,
they always close the gate, but he keeps
it open a little longer.
He doesn't do it just for me, but he
does know that I like to come in a
little later sometimes.
So, I appreciate it
that he does that.
So, that way I can get the freight off
my trailer now, and I'm hoping probably
to make it up somewhere close to
Baudette or something on my way back
north.
Saw me right away, and he also helps me
roll up my tarps, too, which is just

that's the way I should phrase that.

location doesn't unload late.
So, we'll have to unload that one the
following day. But, that's okay. We'll
get a good head start on that.
And then after that, we head down to
Bristol, Indiana, again for another load
of those trailers.
So, that'll be my whole week.
That went quickly and successfully last
night.
I got all the way up to Kelliher,
Minnesota, which is about an hour south
of Baudette, where we are right now.
We're just going to get across the
bridge here,
get ourselves back into Canada.
Go grab another one. I'm in a bit of a
rush, cuz I have to get there before
they shut down their shipping.
I'm running it down to the line here a
little bit.
Just going to slip around uh US Customs.
This is for if I was coming the other
way into the US.
I've never crossed this way into the US.
I don't know if this is a commercial
crossing or not. It might not be. I
always just cross through here to Canada
when I'm empty.
Oh yeah, they got a commercial crossing
here. Okay.
Oh yeah, commercial trucks. Oh, so I
could cross here.
Good to know.
Go and talk to the good people here at
the window.
Let them know where I was, who I am,
where I belong.
And hopefully be on our way right away.
Go off to the side and park and walk
over to the window.
And I got my

going to reload. That'll be in

I have to unload that new one tomorrow,
like the next day. I think I explained
this to you earlier in this video, which
was yesterday for me.
And we got another one of those uh
trailer loads at Bristol.
I got to pick up on Friday morning.
So, that's why I'm in a bit of a rush.
Rush, rush, rush. I want to get there
earlier than I did last week.
So, I can get home a bit earlier.
And then get them delivered Monday and
giddy up and go next week.
Got to go, go, go.

only thing that could make it better is

just down to the line.
Trying to hurry as much as I can.
I mean, we should still should be good.
I just don't like showing up so late.
Same thing, different day, right?
Believe me, it gets boring after a while
for me, too.
But, you know, every once in a while we
run off and do something else for a bit,
and then we come back to this. I like
this route. I'm not complaining about it
at all.
It's boring, yeah, but uh
it's perfect for where I'm at in life
right now, I guess.
I could almost do with my eyes closed
already. Back and forth, back and forth.
