Good day, everybody.
Making our way past all the lakes here
around Lake of the Woods.
Well, it's all really Lake of the Woods.
It's all the same thing.
We're on the Canadian side headed down
to Minnesota.
Picked up our load this morning. I'm
hoping to get unloaded tonight yet. They
have a night shift.
So, I can get unloaded tonight and then
get back up to Kenora
late tonight.
I have another uh pick up there that's
going down to St. Paul, Minnesota.
We're going to be getting back pretty
late though. So,
that's okay.
We'll make it work. We'll do what we
can.
It's a beautiful day though.
Summer's been really nice.
I guess we just missed the big rain
storm. I haven't seen it all, but
everything is just soaking wet.
They finally finished the construction
in Fort Frances.
My paperwork has cleared. I'm all good
to go.
Just got to show myself to the border,
declare myself and what I got, where I'm
going.
And then it's about another 3 hours down
into Minnesota.
Still going to be a long day yet.
Uh we'll be driving into the night.
>> In 350 m, turn right onto International
Bridge.
Now turn right.
>> I blew through the stop sign.
I didn't even try to stop.
>> In 600 m, turn right onto 2nd Avenue.
>> This is fresh blacktop.
And they have painted the lines on there
already, but
it is so hard to see them when you have
oncoming traffic coming at you.
Yikes.
I should be getting unloaded in about 45
minutes to an hour when we get there.
The road is nice and smooth.
Definitely did a good job on it. And

It just looks like the lines could be a
lot brighter. I don't know.
Or a white line along the side would be
nice to outline the side of When it's
raining like this, it always
makes it a little tricky cuz it reflects
so much of the light, right?

We're about to cross over the
Mississippi into Baxter.
Then we start heading north back up
towards Ontario.
Finished unloading here. Got that off
the trailer real quick, as fast as we
could.
We'll see how far we get. I don't know
if I'm going to get all the way back up
to Kenora tonight. I have the hours I
could do it, but we'll probably be
arriving there at like 4:30 in the
morning.
I don't know.
I don't know, man. I don't know if I
want to drive that late, but
I do need to get at least a few hours
behind me today so that I have the hours
to get reloaded tomorrow and get back
down to St. Paul
so that I'm ready to unload the
following day.
And then after that, we head down to
Indiana again.
Don't got a lot of time to mess around.
I know it'd be best if I pushed through
and got up there and just started my day
there tomorrow, but
we'll see how tired I get. I'm feeling
pretty good right now.
If I get tired, I'll pull her over. I
need to get at least 3 hours behind me
yet.
I made it up here to Baudette,
Minnesota, just at the border with
Ontario.
I was too tired to keep going last
night, so I can do everything from here
or I can make everything happen that I
need to make happen today from here.
I think another 2 hours or so up to
Kenora where I've got to reload,
put that on my trailer, got to tie it
down, tarp it, and then that's heading
down to St. Paul, Minnesota, which is
that way cuz I'm facing north right now.
I'm going to bring it down to
Minneapolis, St. Paul, Minnesota, on the
St. Paul side, drop that off tomorrow
morning,
and then we head down to Bristol,
Indiana, grab more of those utility
trailers, tie them down, bring them
home. We'll get home on Saturday, uh
deliver them Monday morning, and then
I'll probably get back to work on the
Tuesday morning. I'll go back home for
supper and whatnot on Monday.
We have a few things we want to get done
on Monday.
Look at this over here. You guys see
that over there?
It's like fire coming out of that pipe
over there.
That's interesting.
I don't know what they're doing with
that. Probably something to do with all
these big propane tanks. I'm not going
to go too close cuz somebody's watching
over there. I just saw them as I was
talking about it.
Yeah, trailer's ready to go. Truck's
ready to go. I already got my tarps on
my trailers so they are ready to go as
soon as we get there.
I just got to make my coffee.
One more thing to do yet.
Make my coffee and then
I'm ready to go. So, get yourself ready,
buckle in. We're going to be leaving
soon.
Boarding has begun, everybody. Get in
line. Come on, get in your seats.
Buckle up. We'll be taking off soon.
We're ready to go. Let's go across the
border and let's go get our freight.
Well, well, well, what do we got here?
We got a traffic stop, traffic jam.
What's going on?
Is the road closed or something?
That's a long lineup.
People are getting out of their
vehicles.
Oh, man.
>> What happened now?
Roll my window down here see if he
stops.
I wonder what this cop is going to tell
us.
He's coming down here talking to people.
Oh, no, he's turning around there.
Looked like he was just giving somebody
a ride.
Everybody's trying to go and figure out
what's going on.
That guy wants to talk to the cop. I'd
like to know what's going on, too.
Google says the road is closed until
5:00 p.m.
It must have been an accident or
something. For crying out loud, if it's
closed till 5:00 p.m., I'm going to miss
my appointment.
I have to get going from here
in the next hour.
Hour, hour and a half tops.
We need to be moving.
That would only be
It's It's noon right now.
Noon.
Nuts.
Ah, [sighs] this is going to mess up my
whole week.
Well, you got one guy turning around
there now.
I wish I could do that.
Not that it would help me at all. This
is the only road up to Kenora. I'd have
to go all the way
all the way down and around, way out by
Thunder Bay or something, or down
through the states, and I can't do that.
Most guys heading back.
Yeah, if they think it's only going to
open at 5:00 p.m. like Google
like Google says here, that's another 5
hours yet that we're going to be sitting
here.
That means I'll only be able to load my
load
tomorrow morning.
Ah, that'll mess me up because I got to
be in Bristol on Friday.
Not good. Not good.
Well, I'm going to make myself some food
anyways and
I guess
I edit some videos.
All right, looks like we're moving. That
was just under 1 hour delay.
Not bad.
Not bad at all. Google said it was going
to be 5:00.
It's 10:00 to 1:00.
So, that's decent.
Just getting along.
From what I heard, there was two
accidents ahead. There was one accident
and then traffic uh
they stopped traffic to clean up that
accident and then a drunk driver came
and slammed into the back of that
traffic that was waiting.
Causing another scene.
And we'll see what happens. We'll
We're still on schedule now at least.
I'll still get loaded today.
You guys all want to be rubberneckers
with me?
Let's see what's going on here.
I think this is the accident scene.
Which means we weren't too far down the
road. This was about half a mile up from
where we had stopped.
What happened here?
Oh, just a slight fender bender. Oh,
okay. Everyone will have been okay.
Okay, that's good.
The accident's not okay, but uh at least
everybody It looks like everyone in that
accident will be okay. The original
accident, someone was lifted to hospital
by ambulance uh by STARS helicopter.
That's the ambulance helicopter.
So, I hope and pray that they're all
right.
But, this guy was the drunk driver who
slammed into the stopped traffic for the
first accident.
So, somebody's getting a DUI today, and
it's not me.
Oh.
Hey, so that was the sex second
accident. This is the first accident
then. Okay.
So, traffic had been stopped all the way
back to there, and then that's where
they hit it. Is that what's going on?
No, this is where they stopped traffic.
I don't know.
I'm just playing uh armchair detective
here trying to figure out what happened.
I guess they cleaned up the first
accident already. Apparently, that one
happened a few hours ago already.

Oh, well.
Probably going to be slow moving all the
way up to Kenora now.
Long back up of traffic and everybody's
going to be extra cautious now. All it
takes is one guy slowing down to 50 for
every corner.
And we're all [laughter] going to have
to do the same.
Better safe than sorry, right?
The thing is if you don't drive drunk,
the chances of you
running into somebody
are a lot lower.
So, as long as you're not drunk, you
should be able to do the speed limit on
a day like today.
What was that guy doing drunk at 10:00
in the morning anyway?
It's 5:00 somewhere, I guess, man.
He's going to jail.
So, here it is. This load here is going
down to St. Paul, Minnesota.
And that's where we're going to start
tomorrow's video.
Uh so, today's video, just to recap, we
went from Kenora here down to Brainerd,
unloaded, came back up here to the same
place, and put this on my trailer. This
one has to go a little bit further.
Not too much. And then from there we
head down to Indiana.
