Video summary
The video documents an intense and hurried day in the life of a truck driver navigating the border between Minnesota and Ontario before returning home for the weekend. The driver begins his shift with a sense of urgency, noting that he is one of the last to unload at a busy facility where other drivers have already finished their tasks. He expresses concern about the heat and the tight schedule, jokingly referring to the situation as a "triple rush" as he prepares to cross into Canada and then quickly return to Minnesota. The atmosphere is frantic, underscored by the constant need to move fast to meet deadlines and avoid delays in his route back north.
Upon arriving at the loading dock, the driver takes a moment to critique the lack of cleanliness among other drivers, pointing out overflowing garbage cans and scattered debris like broken straps and plastic forks left behind after unloading. Despite the mess, he acknowledges that the facility staff do clean up periodically, though he wishes others would take more responsibility for their own waste. He then inspects his cargo, noting a slight tilt in the trailer due to uneven ground, before confirming his plan to deliver the goods to Deer River, Minnesota, by the next morning. His ultimate goal is to get home early enough to spend the weekend at the lake, with a specific target of arriving Friday night or late Sunday evening depending on traffic conditions.
After successfully unloading and securing a parking spot in Deer River despite limited availability, the driver reflects on the long day he has endured, having covered approximately 950 kilometers or 600 miles. He is visibly exhausted but satisfied with his productivity, emphasizing the importance of completing his post-trip inspection to ensure there are no surprises for the next morning. The video concludes with him ready to rest after a demanding shift that involved crossing international borders, dealing with road construction, and managing a tight schedule to return home for much-needed relaxation.

Good morning everyone. I'm here to get
unloaded. That's the guy in front of me.
He just got finished. He'll be backing
out the door here behind [music] us
soon. And then it'll be my turn. I'm
going to get unloaded and we got to rush
back north. [music] It's going to be a a
rush rush. Maybe a rush rush rush today.
Maybe triple rush.
We'll see what happens.
Heat. Heat.

>> Boy, this town is busy again thing. Wow.
Looks like they got a fair or something.
Or is this just how busy it always is?
Come on.
Goodbye. Minnesota says, "Please visit
again." I will in a few hours if you'll
wait for me.
Will you wait for me, Minnesota?
>> Road construction ahead.
>> Of course.
Of course. That's a given. We're about
to cross from Bodet, Minnesota to Rainy
River, Ontario.
And there we go. Canada.
Da da
Canada.
Welcome to Ontar
Ontario. Oh, I keep pronouncing it
wrong. Sorry.
And we'll park over here to the side and
I will walk over to the window. They'll
ask me some questions and I'll uh be on
my way.
Now we've really got to push it.
We don't have a lot of time. It's a rush
rush rush for sure. Triple rush.
I'm the last guy in here again today.
So, I have the whole place to myself.
And look at what these drivers do. The
good people here clean this up like
probably once a week or so. And every
single week just leave their garbage and
their broken straps all over the place.
given. Yeah. Okay. The garbage can is
overflowing, but you could at least
bring your garbage to the garbage can,
right?
Look at this. Like, what what do we all
got over here? We got like straps
everywhere. We have a plastic fork.
What's that doing in here?
What's this over here?
A box of
What is this
juice? Like, who did this? Who just
dropped that on the floor?
Just can't have anything nice. Another
box over here. Like all this junk. I
don't have time to clean this all up,
but like somebody's straps.
Doesn't say whose they belong to, of
course. Thought maybe they had an
address on them.
We could track down who dropped them
there.
It's just
Yeah, they do need to empty that garbage
can. It's almost the end of the week.
I'm sure they're going to empty. There's
another one on this side over here,
though. Anyways, clean up your garbage,
guys. You know this.
Here is my load. It's a little bit
shobsided because that side is what, 6
in higher than that side. 21 ft lifts.
I'm taking them down to Minnesota with
me and then uh
we're going to drop it off there
tomorrow morning and then we're going to
head home for the weekends. We're going
to the lake this weekend. That should be
fun. I'll be home Friday night,
Saturday, Sunday, Monday early morning
I'll take off or late Sunday night,
whichever.
Let's get this done. I want to get down
to Deer River tonight and sleep there
again.
Heat.
This is International Falls, Minnesota.
So, Minnesota, did you miss me?
I know I was gone for a few hours. Are
we okay? I'm back.
>> We'll be in Minnesota till tomorrow
morning and into tomorrow afternoon
about
>> and then from Minnesota, we're going to
head into North Dakota for a little bit
up I 29 back into Manitoba that way.
Just going to go home empty after we're
unloaded
and then I got to be back up on Monday
again.
Hopefully we'll get a full weekend next
week.
Follow the road.
What was that? That guy just peel out
around the corner then.
Thanks. Heat.
Heat.
Dear River, I have 17 minutes to park.
Hopefully there's a spot available for
me tonight.
I am tired. 950 km, about 600 miles
today.
I'm ready to sleep.
Almost there.
>> 400 meters, turn right onto 4th Avenue
Northwest and then you will reach your
way point.
>> Sounds good to me.
That waypoint involves a pillow.
Where? It's got to go past the fire
station here on the right.
in the next one. Here it is.
This will take us to the top.
>> Turn right and then you will reach your
way point.
Come on parking.
Come on parking. Group recalculated.
>> Oh boy, there's a couple of trucks.
One, two. Yes, there's a parking spot
there.
>> You have reached your waypoint 25 4th
Avenue Northwest, Deer River, Minnesota.
>> Oh, thank goodness.
>> Route recalculated.
Now turn left and then turn left onto
Main Avenue.
>> Thank goodness. Two out of four spots
available.
That's a wrap.
Roll up the window.
Nice.
Oh, I want to go back and sleep so bad.
I got to do my post trip first.
Yeah, let's do that. Let's take care of
the post trip. Make sure everything is
as it should be so [music] there's no
surprises in the morning
and then uh
we'll head back there.
It was a good day. Long productive day.
