Video summary
Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave is now available on the Nintendo Switch 2, offering a rich experience that can feel overwhelming for newcomers to the franchise. To ensure the best start, players should first update their game to version 1.0.1 via the internet to unlock exclusive weapons from previous titles like the Chosen Sword and Royal Lance. Before engaging in main story content, it is crucial to visit the Shrine of Causality at the Obelisk to complete "Notable Deeds," which provide valuable rewards based on actions such as defeating a certain number of foes. These deeds can also be found at the Perch, and the resulting Karma Shards allow players to purchase various bonuses throughout their journey. While the game offers an option to skip the Obelisk entirely for a secret campaign, doing so defeats the purpose of the experience, so players are encouraged to fully engage with the early setup features.
Immersing oneself in the narrative is significantly enhanced by exploring the interconnected stories of different characters through the various Obelisks. A recommended strategy is to follow one character's journey until they meet another, and then switch to play that second character's story to witness their reunion; this approach provides a deeper understanding of the plot and character motivations compared to rushing through all four campaigns in parallel. Beyond the story, effective dungeon exploration requires specific habits, such as holding the ZR button to reveal blue arrows indicating previously visited areas, ensuring no part of the map is missed. Players should also break all minerals and items on the ground to harvest materials, as these resources are essential for upgrading weapons and boosting magic stats. Additionally, utilizing the fast travel feature via the ZR button in towns allows for efficient movement between temples, shops, and recruitable characters, saving time that can be better spent on exploration and completing quests.
The game features a complex turn-based system where four turns equal one day, requiring players to visit Dagion at least once a week to complete important activities like deity services and unit training. To maximize efficiency, players should plan routes carefully to explore high-risk areas for rare items before returning to the city on time. Strategic combat involves balancing unit levels to prevent lower-level characters from being overwhelmed, matching unit types to enemy weaknesses such as using magic against heavy armor or arrows against flyers, and positioning units to utilize counterattacks while protecting healers in the backline. Furthermore, players should pay attention to glowing text above character names for new dialogue and faint pulsing circles on the map that indicate town events or cutscenes, ensuring they do not miss out on hidden content or rewards.
Finally, managing resources and relationships is key to long-term success, particularly through the use of the Inn system. While meals cost gold rather than turns, they are vital for increasing support between units, especially if players gift recruitable characters before inviting them to eat. A pro tip involves replaying finished chapters to host multiple meals in a row, leveraging the game's internal save system to rapidly build support levels without losing progress. Players should also take advantage of weekly holy days that offer bonus marks for specific deities and check shop inventories across different settlements, as they update with new items and specialize in different goods. By combining careful planning, thorough exploration, and strategic use of the Inn's meal system, players can optimize their gameplay to overcome challenges and fully enjoy the depth of Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave.

Fire Emblem Fortune Weave is finally
here on Nintendo Switch 2. As you can
see, I got my really cool collector's
edition, and there are a lot of features
in the game, and it could be
overwhelming for somebody completely
brand new to the franchise. Here are a
bunch of early game tips that will help
you on your adventure in Fortune Weave.
Let's dive into it. One of the big
things that you want to do is before you
boot up Fire Emblem, make sure you check
the software update via internet and
make sure your game is on version 1.0.1.
Because if you do do that, you'll get
weapons from previous Fire Emblem games
like the chosen sword, chosen lance,
royal sword. So big update. Before you
even start to do anything in Fire
Emblem's Fortunes weave at the obelisk,
you want to head over to the shrine of
causality. The reason why is because
they have something known as notable
deeds. And notable deeds are pretty much
going to check out your action. So
example, defeat 10 foes in battle. I've
accepted that. I got those. 20 foes
done. So, I'm just going to accept all
these rewards
and then we can go to boons of
salvation. And then when you have the
karma shards at the top right of your
screen, you can spend them on these
various bonuses throughout the game. So,
always pay attention to everything. Come
back to the obelisk and go check out
what you need to do or you can pretty
much just write down the noble deeds
that you need to do. There's a lot.
Alternatively, you can also find the
notable deeds and spoons of salvation at
the perch as well. So you don't just
have to do that at the obelisk. Right
from the beginning of the game, you have
the option to bypass all the obelisk
completely, turn around and walk towards
this door of destiny where you'll get a
little message from our goddess and then
you can take the door of destiny and go
to the final campaign without using any
of the units. But that would defeat the
whole purpose of playing the game. And
this is only for insane people who want
to really find out what happens. And for
the sake of not spoiling anything in
this video, I'm not going to show you.
Okay, so a really cool thing that they
added in Fire Emblem's Fortunees weave
is that when you go to a specific
obelisk, here's Kai's.
>> Here it goes.
>> Listen to the music as I shift through
them.
[music] The electric guitar.
This victory is for you fuss.
And then swap.
>> Couldn't look [music] away.
>> Yes. One down.
>> Joyless.
>> This is crazy. A big pro tip to be
really immersed in the story is pick an
obelisk, follow that person's journey
until they meet another character, and
then go play that character story where
they meet up that person. So that way
you can be fully immersed and understand
the story. the weights behind those
characters and you get a very good
understanding as opposed to just bumr
rushing one story and feeling like you
have to start from scratch again.
Playing all four in parallel is probably
the best way to really get the most
fulfillment out of Fire Emblem Fortunes
[music] weave. Something important that
you should do and make a habit all the
time is when you are in dungeons, make
sure that you are pressing the ZR button
so you can see previous areas that
you've walked to. A good way to do that
is by pressing that, looking on the
floor, and you'll see the direction too
of those blue arrows. Run around the
area and see which areas you didn't go
to. Another important thing that you
should do in dungeons is break all the
items because you get stuff out of it.
Break all the minerals, break all the
items, look for things glowing on the
ground, and make sure to utilize the
rest in there. Whenever you're in an
open area, make sure you explore every
nook and cranny. You just might find a
gold glowing object on the ground, which
is another material or item you may want
to grab. There's always something
somewhere. And I just think you
shouldn't ever leave any stone unturned
when you have the exploration. And
they're not huge areas either. So check
every area, get the items. Don't miss
out on anything. By the way, if you
enjoy this video, make sure to hit that
subscribe button. And you should also
follow me on Instagram. I post a lot of
content there that you don't normally
see on the YouTube channel. I posted a
really funny clip about an enemy in Fire
Emblem just getting done up with a
pistol.
[laughter] Not the gun,
>> bro. Bro, this is Fire Emblem. So, a
quick little fun thing you could do
during your battles is hover over a unit
and you're going to want to press in
your controller, right Joy [music] stick
up like that. You get a loading screen
and then it'll zoom into the fight. So,
you can get a close look at all the
actual players on the field. You can
take a look at the enemies. If you want
to get screenshots, you can do that also
here. So, it's a pretty cool way to see
the entire battlefield as well. You can
also see the borders of the map, how far
it goes back, everything. I mean, you
could explore the entire battlefield to
see what's going to happen. Like, these
enemies are hiding over here on the top
right of the map. We got another enemy
right over here, which is cool. And you
can see their unit, their classes,
everything about it. Something else that
you could do in this mode is highlight
over one of your units. So, for example,
I highlight over him, and you hit the
plus button, and you could just look
around. You can only go the blue amount
of space, but you can look around, which
is pretty cool. So, you just hit B to go
back. You can get off this character,
select even the main unit, and just have
the fun of running around with them on
the field. But definitely, if you want
screenshots, this is a really fun thing
to do. Let's talk about the most
intimidating and complicated thing that
you may think exist in this game, which
is going to be this entire turnbased
feature, which has deadlines. And I know
it's really intimidating, but here's a
really easy way to think about it. four
turns is going to equal one day. You can
think of each turn as one quarter of the
day. One move on the giant world map is
going to cost you one turn. You'll
notice if you move once, you'll see the
time of the day shifts. So that's pretty
much showing you your quarter of the day
in real life. Now, you need to make sure
that you are in Dagion at least once a
week, no matter what. Then you can head
out again. You don't want to miss out
because there are weekly activities that
you need to do that are very important
and it's a waste if you don't go and do
those weekly activities. Basically, the
routine that you should go to is go
explore outside the world map, return
back to Daxion to do the weekly actions.
Then you can just head right back out.
When you're all done with a bunch of
things, you can then go to the inn, and
use the auto activity to wrap up pretty
much what you want. Now, the further
you're away from the main city, the more
risky it is, but high risk is going to
be high reward. You may find a weapon in
a dungeon, a certain item you need to
upgrade a weapon, or an item to help you
boost your magic. These little things
can completely change your gameplay and
make it a lot easier. So, just carefully
plan out your route so that way you can
explore really far away, get really good
items, and then make it back just on
time. Some of these important weekly
activities that you need to do is do
service for your deities, have meals
with units, and do the training. There
are also some unique weekly activities
that are specific to certain characters
in the game. The Raven's Perch is
something you really want to pay
attention to. You can go over to the
foresight to show a preview of the
upcoming main battle. Now, while this
may sound like, oh, okay, whatever. You
can actually see all the units that
you're going to be going up against in
the next fight. So, you can figure out
your entire counter system of how you
want to build your units for that
specific fight. You could also check
foresight by pressing X and going to the
rightmost tab, which will show you the
next battle details without even having
to go to the Raven's Purge. Now, the
Raven's Purge is also really good
because you could raise the support with
your main character. It's Eshimo in the
game, but it's whoever you named your
character to, and you get something
known as support salvation, which will
come in clutch in very specific
scenarios. So, just build your
friendship with the Pale Raven. I
personally like building friendships
specifically with the lords. You just
have to make sure to give good responses
to maximize that interaction. Another
big tip is whenever you're roaming
around and you see gold text above a
name of a unit or character, go talk to
them. It's new dialogue.
>> By the way,
>> and then when you're done talking, as
you can see, no more gold border. So,
always look above characters heads. Now,
there's also going to be in town events
that you're going to have to look for on
your map. You will see a very faint glow
circle pulse. That means when you go up
to that area, it's going to be an
in-game event or a little cutscene. So,
don't miss out on those. In Fire Emblem
Fortune's Weave, there are tons of
quests. There's going to be a lot of NPC
quest markers above their head. As you
progress through more of the story,
you're going to see different NPCs have
their quest, so make sure to do these as
soon as you can in the game. Some quests
will just be as simple as talking to
someone within the town, and others will
have you go to the world map to find the
location of those enemies, defeat them,
and you'll come back and you'll get a
bunch of rewards for that. Pay attention
to all the different shops in the game.
Obviously, you're going to see items in
Daxion, but also they do update and add
more to their shops as you progress
through the main story quest. You'll
also be able to find different weapons
and items on the world map outside of
Daxion by viewing them in different
settlement shops. So, don't miss out
because some settlement shops specialize
in certain things while other
settlements specialize in something
completely different. You may even find
a specific item you need to give to a
unit in order to increase their support
with you. It's definitely worth checking
out and why world map exploration is
very important. There are a lot of
deities in this game. each have their
own bonuses, but it's going to be really
obvious what they do because the game
tells you right there in the menu.
Something that you may forget is that
there is actually a specific holy day
that grants you higher marks for that
specific deity in the game. Here's the
calendar system that shows you which
ones to go for. Now, this is a weekly
activity, so make sure you know the
bonus that you're trying to get first.
Then go to that place, choose the
service, select two units of your
choice, which will grow in support for
each other as they perform the activity,
and you'll get a score increase towards
the level that you're aiming at.
Remember that prayer builds favor, which
is going to unlock the blessings for a
battle. You're going to need this. It
helps you a lot. You can also sometimes
find the deities in the temples that you
can talk to, and they actually increase
your renown, which is pretty nice. The
button ZR on your Nintendo Switch 2
controller is going to be very
important. It's everything in this game,
honestly, when you're in town because
you can fast travel to temples, fast
travel to shops, and you could even fast
travel to recruitable characters
directly. Yes, you can do that, but just
make sure you at least talk to them
once. They're the orange dots on the
map. Once you talk to them, they will be
able to be fast traveled to, and you
don't really have to run around the city
that often anymore. Also, another quick
tip on the recruitable characters. You
could just look at their character
information to see what they like. They
give so many different options. You
could easily decide what gift you want
to give them and match it. There are
tons of combat tips out there, but
here's some really basic ones that you
should really stick with as you're
playing the game. You want to focus out
on balancing everyone's level. So, don't
overlevel one unit because you'll be put
into scenarios where your squad is going
to be split up around the map. You don't
want your lower level units to get
overpowered by enemies, so focus on
everyone. Balance them all out, unless
you have some crazy strategy in your
brain. Next up, you want to match
[music] units to targets. Have your
magic units placed against heavy armor
enemies. They absolutely shred them. You
want to have your arrow units against
flying units, and you want to have your
spears against cavalry. There's
something known as counterattacks in the
game where you basically want to attack
from inside an enemy's range that lets
them hit back. So, you want to choose
your position carefully and use a unit
with high defense or evasion right in
their area. Positioning is pretty
simple. You want to place your units in
a spot where the enemies will have to
focus and target them in order to
protect your weaker ones. But, I don't
like calling them weaker. Personally, I
like keeping magic users and healers in
the backline so the front units can just
tank them and your backline can just
heal without actually becoming targets
of the enemy. Remember, when you use
combat arts in the game, it does affect
the weapon durability. So pay attention
to your weapon durability when using
those and make sure you're using it when
it counts. Now, when it comes to blaze
arts, there's another trick that you
could do on the field where your unit
can spam the blaze attacks while your
healers are just spam healing them. So,
it's a good way to level up your
healers, too. Feel free to write down
any other combat tips down below, but
I'll probably have a separate video for
that. I feel like almost everything is
important in this game, but the inn is
definitely very, very important. At the
end, you can have meals to increase the
support between your units. But a pro
tip is to make sure that you give
recruitable units gifts in the game
because you then get the option to
actually invite them to meals to build
support with them. That's pretty big
when you don't even have them recruited
yet. You'll also see the guest icon
above them when selecting a meal, so you
don't get confused between your units
and the guest units. During my
playthrough with Dietrich, I noticed
that there was a 50% off the meals on
Sunday. So, it's a great way to save
gold by coming here on a Sunday. Also,
as you increase your renown to level
three, you get access to another meal.
Now, to get the most out of each meal,
you want to make sure your guest like
the specific food, which you can see on
this menu here once you select all three
characters, the combination of
characters with a specific food, and
it'll show you their facial expressions
and certain words about the food before
you commit because you want to maximize
out the most amount of support you can
get from this. And once again, a
reminder, meals do not cost you a turn.
All they do is cost you gold. Now, there
is a quick grindy trick in the game to
really increase support, and that is to
replay a chapter you finished, host
meals at the end for the characters you
want to pair up with, use auto activity
to jump to the next week, do more meals,
keep going until the chapter time runs
out, go to the system, restart the
chapter, and repeat. And the reason why
I say all this is because the game just
internally saves all the progress you
made on support level. It's pretty cool.
Now, the other options here is going to
be rest, which is going to help you
recover your unit's health and magic
because you can't naturally ever recover
these during the free time. You also
going to have the auto activity feature.
And yes, while you can just pretty much
do everything you think you can right
over here without having to explore the
map. I would not use it for that reason
unless you are very short on time and
need to get through this game. However,
what I like to do with auto activity is
once I'm done with everything that I
think I can do and I don't have any more
areas I can explore and if I think of
exploring I'm probably going to run out
of time. I will come to auto activity
and just select either training combat
or gathering option and just finish up
my turns until a main mission time
begins. That's all the tips I have. And
if you have any, drop them in the
comments below to help somebody [music]
out.
