God is good >> and all the time. That is his nature. Amen. Listen, as we prepare to go into the word of God this evening, I want to share a burden on our heart this evening as it relates to what I believe God is asking for each one of us in the time that we have even now. I invite you to bow your heads with me as we go to God in prayer. Let's pray together. Eternal Father in heaven, God, we are so thankful and so grateful that your word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. God, we do ask now that you would shine bright upon us. God, please Lord, pour your spirit out in this place. May we be filled with your Holy Spirit that we may be the men and women that you've called us to be in these last days. Bless us, oh God, for we ask it in Jesus' name. Amen. And amen. I invite you to take your Bibles with me and go with me to the book of Second Kings once again. Second Kings chapter number two today. Second Kings chapter number two. And I want to begin reading at beginning at verse number one again. Second Kings chapter number two. And I want to begin reading beginning at verse number one. When you have it, would you say amen? Amen. Again, 2 Kings chapter 2, beginning at verse number one, the word of God reads, it reads as such. The Bible says, "And it came to pass when the Lord would take up Elijah into a whirlwind that Elijah went unto Elijah unto Gilgal." Verse two. And Elijah said unto Elisha, "Tarry here I pray, for the Lord hath sent me to Bethl." And Elisha said unto him, "As the Lord liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee." So they went down to Bethl. And the sons of the prophets that were at Bethl came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Lord will take away thy master from thy head today? And he said, Ya, I know it. Hold your peace. And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee, for the Lord has sent me to Jericho. And he said, "As the Lord liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee." So they came to Jericho. Verse five. And the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho came to Elisha, and said unto him, "Know it thou that the Lord will take away thy master from thy head today?" And he answered, "Yay, I know. Hold your peace." And Elijah said unto him, Terry, I pray thee, for the Lord hath sent me to Jordan. And he said, as the Lord liveth, as my soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And they too went on. Verse seven. And 50 men of the sons of the prophets went and stood to view a far off. And the two stood by Jordan. And Elijah took his mantle and wrapped it together. and smoked the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that the two went over on dry ground. Verse 9 is our key verse. Verse 9, the Bible says, "And it came to pass when they were gone over that Elijah said unto Elisha, ask what I should do for thee before I am taken away from thee." And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a what, everybody? A double portion of thy spirit be upon me. And he said, Thou hath asked a hard thing. Nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken away from thee, it shall be so unto thee. But if not, it shall not be so. Last verse. And it came to pass as they still went on and taught that behold there appeared a chariot of fire and horses of fire and parted them both a thunder and Elijah went up by a whirlwind in to heaven. Who says amen to the word of God? >> I want to preach for a few moments on tonight on the subject entitled I want double. I want double. Would you say it with me? Say, I >> want double. Amen. And amen. Yesterday I preached a message entitled, "What happened to the power?" from Mark chapter 9, where the disciples of Jesus were not able to cast out a demonpossessed man. Well, tonight I want to look at the answer to the disciples need in Mark chapter nine because what we see now in Mark chapter 9 was a failed attempt of the disciples or yeah even the church. But what we see here in second Kings chapter 2 is what we desperately need in 2026. You see, ladies and gentlemen, in America, uh, churches are emptying out left and right. Empty pews can be seen throughout our churches in the land. Secularism is increasing in the land. Since COVID 2019, I don't know how it is here in Nairobi and in Kenya, but fewer people are attending churches than ever before. You see, we are living in a world where darkness is getting darker. We are living in a world where families are under attack, where children are under attack, where our young people are under attack, and truth is also under attack. The enemy is working overtime. And ordinary Christianity is not going to be enough for extraordinary times. You see, what we need, hear me today, somebody. What we need in these last days is the power of the Holy Spirit. Can I say it again tonight? What we need in our churches and in our lives is a desperate measure of the Holy Spirit in our lives. We need the Holy Spirit. The power is not in the preacher. The power is not in buildings. The power is not in programs. The power is not even in our history. How many of y'all know the power is in the Holy Ghost. You see, we need today what we needed years ago, and that is an infilling of the spirit of the living God. Ah, there are some things that if God were ask me for double, I would take it right away. If God says I was going to give double wisdom, I will take wisdom. Do I have a witness, somebody? If God said I would give double discernment, I will take it. Double courage, double anointing, double strength, double effectiveness for the kingdom. And if there's anything that the church needs in these last days, again, it is a double measure of the spirit of the living God. In second Kings, we meet two prophets. The first man we meet is a man by the name of Elijah. Somebody say Elijah. Elijah. The second man that we meet here in our text is Elijah. Elijah is the season prophet of God. He is the elder statesman. He is the spiritual giant in his generation. You see, you might say that Elijah was the goat of his time. He was the greatest of all time in the Old Testament. Elisha on the other hand is the younger disciple. He is the underststudy, the apprentice. But the text tells us something important. You see, Elijah's time on earth has now come to an end. God is about to take Elijah to heaven. And the sons of the prophets kept on reminding Elijah saying, "Do you know that your master is going to be taken away?" And Elisha says, he keeps on saying, "Yeah, I know. Hold your peace." Whenever Elijah went, Elisha says, "I'm going there as well." Wherever Elijah goes, you can be sure that you're going to find Elisha going there as well. When Elijah says, "I'm going to Gilgal." Elisha says, "I'm going to Beth, Jericho, Jordan," Elisha says, "I'm going there as well." Because Elijah Elisha understands something special. You see, Elisha understands if you want the anointing, you have to be close to the anointing. Oh, you didn't say amen right there. Can I say it again? If you want to have the anointing, you got to be close to the anointed. Ah, we arrive now at 2 Kings chapter 2. Notice the journey. They start in Gilgal. They start where everybody in Gilgal. They move to Bethl. then to Jericho and to Jordan. And at each stage, Elijah essentially tells Elisha, "Brother, stay here. Do not move. Do not go anywhere." And Elisha says, "No, wherever you're going, my man, I'm going there with you." And see, here it is tonight. As the Lord is with us, so we ought to be with God as well. How many of y'all know wherever God goes, that's where we ought to want to go as well? In our text again at each state, Elijah essentially tells Elisha to stay here. And every time Elisha answers, "As the Lord liveth, and as my soul liveth, I will not leave thee." You see, if you want a double portion, you cannot quit halfway. Hear me tonight. Gilgal, can I teach the Bible tonight? Gilgal represents the beginnings. It was there where Elisha renewed his covenant after crossing into Jordan. But Elisha could not stay at Gilgal. You see, some Christians are satisfied with where they have started. They say, "I've got baptized. I've joined the church. I've accepted Jesus." And praise God for all of that. But church, you cannot stay at Gilgal. There's something more. They now move to Bethl. And we know that Bethl means the house of God. But Elisha could not stay at Bethl either. You see, you can be in God's house and still not have God's power. Can I say it again? You can be in God's house but still not have the power of God. Matter of fact, you can go to the Bank of Nairobi, walk into the lobby, but that does not mean that you have all the resources. The reality is is that God has the power and our God is willing to fill us with his Holy Spirit in these last days. Who says amen tonight? You see, God's house is wonderful, but God must give us the power. Church attendance cannot substitute for a relationship with God. They move on to Jericho. But then Jericho represents a place that God demonstrated miraculous power. But Elijah could not stay on yesterday's miracles. You see, I said it again. You cannot live on today's assignment on yesterday's testimony. Thank God for what he did in 2025. Thank God what he did last year at camp meeting. Thank God what he did for your parents. Thank God what he's done for you. But how many of y'all need know I and you? We need a fresh experience with God every single day. Every single day we ought to surrender ourselves to God and say, "God, you can have your way in my life." Every day we ought to be surrendering to God. The events now in 2 Kings chapter 2, it takes place at the during the time of the divided monarch of Israel. At the death of Solomon around 9:31 BC, the kingdom has split into two nations. The northern kingdom Israel, eventually Samaria. The southern kingdom Judah, the capital Jerusalem. Elijah and Elisha are ministered primarily in the northern kingdom of Israel which was spiritually unstable and often rebellious against God. That the northern kingdom was ruled by omni destiny especially the inf inf famous king Ahab and his wicked wife Jezebel. Uh Jezebel promoted ba worship and the nation fell unto deep idolatry. But how many of you all know whenever there is a nation under idolatry, God always has a man? God always has a prophet. Oh, you're not hear me tonight, somebody. God always has somebody that's going to stand for the truth of God's word. Oh, I read that the greatest one of the world is the one of men. Men and women who will not be bought nor sold. Men and honor. Men and women who are honest and true. Men and women who will stand for the right though the heavens may fall. I don't know about you, but I want to be that kind of man. Elijah stands up against false worship. Elijah stands in the midst of spiritual idolatry, political corruption, religious compromise, and the persecution of God's prophets. And this is why Elisha appears so fiery and confrontational. He was defending the true worship of Yahweh in 2 Kings chapter 2 and verse 9. The Bible says this, my key verse tonight. The Bible says, "And it came to pass that when they were gone over that Elijah said unto Elisha, ask what I should do for thee before I am taken away from thee." And Elisha said, I pray thee, Here it is, let a what kind of portion? A double portion of thy what? Oh, say it again. of of thy what everybody of thy spirit be upon me. Oh church, I got to say it again. I'm getting excited right now. I'm gonna say it again. Verse nine, he says, Elishas, I pray, let a double portion of your spirit, Elijah, be upon me. Oh church, that's powerful right there. Listen. Elisha says, "All I want is a double portion of thy spirit." He says, "Whatever you have, that's what I want." You see, whatever you have, Elijah says, "I want mine to be superersized." Oh, you're not hearing me tonight. Whatever made you so powerful, I want a double portion of that. H I don't know if you all have McDonald's. You You don't have McDonald's. You have KFC. I've seen KFC in Nairobi. Well, in the States, they have this place called McDonald's and and they used to only serve small French fries. Are you following me right now? And over time, there's a place called Burger King came out and Burger King now had a superiz fry. And then Wendy's came out and had a bigger fry and a bigger drink. Every restaurant tried to outdo the next restaurant. And I got to thinking, somebody, if the restaurants could now say, I want bigger and more, how much more should the people of God say, I want more of the spirit of God? Oh, I want the anointing of God. I want the power OF GOD. I WANT GOD to live in us and through us so that we can be all that God has called us to be. Oh, church of the living God. I personally love this because Elisha says, "I don't want just a house. I don't want a new chariot. I don't want more money. I don't want more fame." He says, "I want a double portion." Whatever made you so powerful, Elijah says, "I want double of that." Hallelujah. Tonight in modern language, Elijah was saying, "Whatever you have, give me double. Whatever made you so powerful, I want double." You see, church, we are comfortable in the pews of our churches. We are comfortable showing up to church on the weekend, on Sabbath, and for camp meeting. But God says, "I have more than a pew for you. I want you to be a witness in Nairobi. I want you to be a witness in your neighborhoods, a witness all around. God says, I want to fill you with my spirit so that more people will know that there is a living God and that one day Jesus is coming back soon. We've got to tell the world that Jesus is loves us and he's coming back one day. Elijah in our text is about to be taken into heaven. And Elijah understands that that whatever made Elijah so powerful, he says, "I want that power right there." Oh, Ellen White says these words and I will I'm going to eventually put them on the screen this week. Ellen White says that a revival a what everybody? Oh, you're not saying that. What everybody? A revival of true godliness amongst us is the greatest and most urgent of all of our needs. She says to seek this should be our first work. A revival not be expected only in answer to prayer. While the people are so destitute of God's Holy Spirit, they cannot appreciate the preaching of the word. But when the spirit's power touches their heart, then the discourses given will not be without effect. Ellen White says that what we need in our churches is a revival of the Holy Spirit. We need a revival of the spirit of God living on the inside of us so that we can be all that God has called us to be. Come on, say amen tonight. Oh, here it is right now. There is a revival. Oh, thank God for your technology team tonight. A revival to god is amongst us is the what? Again, the greatest and most urgent of how many needs of all of our needs. She says this should be our first work. In other words, when we're praying, our prayer should be God send revival. GOD, FILL US WITH your spirit like never before. You see, revival comes through prayer. Revival cannot be manufactured. It must be sought from God. And without the spirit, sermons may be heard but not felt. But with the spirit, the hearts are convicted and are transformed. She says this again, Ellen White, in testimonies to ministers and gospel workers, page 176. Again, testimonies to ministers and gospel workers, page 176. She says, "The Holy Spirit is the one gift that brings all other gifts in his train." And if we ask the Lord in faith, ask the Lord in what everybody in faith for his blessings, he will give it to us. If we ask the Lord in faith, can I ask you tonight, somebody, what are you praying about tonight? What are you asking God for right now? What do you desire? What do you need from God? Is it is it a better marriage? Is it for children to come back home? Is it for finances and a breakthrough? Whatever you're asking God for tonight, she says that the Holy Spirit is the one gift that brings every other gift in its train. Who says amen? Oh, whatever you need, our God is able to supply it. Our God is able. I was a child. I learned that song. I don't know if you have it here, but we sing a song. He's able. He's able. I know he's able. I know my God is able to carry me through. Do you know it tonight? >> Oh yes. God is able. Our God does not fail. Elijah said, "I want a double anointing of the Holy Spirit." Let me testify just for my own self for a moment. I grew up in a little town where the murder rate was five times the national average. People would always say, "Can any good thing come out of the town I was born in?" And I learned something early. People may talk about you, but they cannot determine your destiny. Oh, you're not hear me tonight, somebody. You need to understand that God has a plan and God has a purpose for every single last one of you. He loves you so much. He cares for you so much. I'll say it again. If there was nobody else on the planet, Jesus would have still died for you. And because he loves you, God says, "I want to use you as my servant. I want to use you as an instrument of my peace. Notice tonight in the text right here, the Bible says that the anointing makes the difference. Go with me in your Bibles. Go with me to the book of Luke right now. Go to Lukeap 11. Luke chap 11. And I want you to look now at verse number 13. Luke chap 11. Look at verse number 13. This is a powerful text tonight. Luke 11 and verse 13. I wait for you to get there because it's so powerful. Luke 11:13. When you have it, say amen. Oh, if you're still looking, say, hold up. I hear you. Luke 11:13, the Bible says these words. It says, "If ye then," Jesus says, "if ye then being evil know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your what body?" Heavenly Father give what? The Holy Spirit to them that do what? >> To them that do what? >> To them that ask. Somebody say ask. >> Ask. Oh, the Bible says, "If we as parents being evil know how to give good gifts to your children." Let me see the hands of parents in this place. Every parent raise your hand. Every parent raise your hand. All right. Yes. Now, let me ask you a question tonight. Do your children always deserve the gifts you give them? Oh, you're quiet right there, huh? Do they always deserve it? >> Absolutely not. Sometimes our children are ungrateful for the things we do for them. Okay, y'all. Okay, I'm not used to you not saying amen back there, so I'm going to say it right now. My children, I have a 20 year old and I have a 15y old. Now, you someone say, "Pastor Lee, you don't even look 20 years old yourself. I exercise every day." Amen. I try to eat right. No, I I have a 20-year-old. We have a 20-year-old and a 15 year old. When they were smaller, I would always pick them up from school. All right. I picked them up from school. And when I picked them up from school, I don't know how it I don't know if you have the same kids I have, but when I picked them up from school, they always got in the car and said, "Dad, I'm hungry." Do you have the same kids I have? >> Okay. I want to make sure my kids are the same as yours as well. I'm hungry. And being a good father, I would then go over and I would go to the fast food restaurant and I'll pick them up some tacos or some of the burrito and I'll give them exact. And every time I did it, they would say, "Thank you, Dad. Thank you so very much." Let me tell you something. The more they said thank you, the more I wanted to bless their lives. And here's what happened right now. because I knew that when I pick them up from school there it it was like a broken record. And here's the thing, my wife and I will make sure that they had packed a lunch. If they had not packed lunch, there was a lunch at school that was already made. So, I'm trying to figure out, did y'all not eat the food that we packed and the food at the school? But when they got in the car every day, they said, "What again, Dad?" Dad. Oh, y'all not here. Dad, I'm hungry. Let me tell you what dads start doing. Because if we being evil know how to give good gifts to our children, here's what I started doing. Because I'm a good dad, and I love being a good father. I would go in advance and I would get the food and put it in the front seat. when they got inside the car, they would smell something and say, "Oh, dad, did you get us something to eat?" And I would take the bag and I would drop it in the back seat along with a drink and they would say, "Oh, thank you so very much." And they have a smile on their face. I got to thinking, Pastor McKenzie, if I as an evil person myself, oh, you're not gonna say amen right now because all of us got some evilness on the inside of us. None of us have done everything right. But if we know how to take care of our children, how much more does our father in heaven know how to take care of every single last one of us? Oh, the Bible says that every good and perfect gift comes from above. God has more for every single last one of us. I totally believe somebody that our God is a prayer hearing and a prayer answering God. I believe that the best is yet to come when we daily surrender to our God. Elijah understands that if I have a double portion of Elijah's spirit that he will be able to minister in a mighty way. Now understand Elijah is recorded as doing 16 major miracles in the Old Testament. 16. Now, now we know the story of Mount Carmel. I won't go through all of that right now. We'll look at it maybe later on this week. But as he does all of those major miracles, we understand that Elijah, hear me, does double of what Elijah does. Oh, ladies and gentlemen. Oh, you're not hear me tonight. Elijah is the goat. Elijah is a man that can speak to the to the crowd and say there will be not due nor rain but according to my word. He his name means Yahweh is my God. Elijah was a POWERFUL MAN OF GOD. But Elisha says listen look at the text one more time. Look at the text. Second Kings chapter 2. I want you to see with your eyes. Second Kings chapter 2 and look down again now at verse number 10. Look at verse 10. The Bible says this verse 10. Second Kings chapter 2 and verse 10. He says, "Thou hath asked a hard thing. Nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be unto thee. But if not, it shall not be so. In other words, Elijah says that if you see me, don't miss this. If you see me taken up into heaven, then you will have the double portion of my spirit. Now verse 11. And it came to pass as they went on and talked that behold there appeared a chariot of fire and horses of fire and parted them both a thunder and Elijah was taken up into a whirlwind into heaven. And the Bible says the mantle of Elijah fell down upon Elijah. Oh, I'm going to pause because this is deep, everybody. Elijah just says, "If you see me go into heaven, then you will have the double portion." Can I fast forward right now? In Acts chapter 1, this is a parallel of Elijah representing now Jesus. And now Elijah is you and I. OH, can I say it again? Elijah is a representation of Christ. And now as Elijah goes into heaven, his cloak, his his OUTER GARMENT NOW FALLS down upon Elisha. In Acts 1, the Bible says that this same Jesus that was taken up into heaven. When Jesus went up into heaven, Acts chapter 1, Acts chapter 2, the Holy Ghost comes down. And when THE HOLY GHOST comes down, the people of God, the children of God are now filled with the spirit of the living God. >> And now they preach with power. They do miracles with power. They live with power. They do everything that Jesus does. Why? Because they had a double portion of the spirit of the living God. >> I don't know about you, but I want a double portion of the spirit of God. I want the power of God. And I know why your amen was weak right there. Because many of us don't believe that we can have the power. We don't believe that that the same Jesus will do for us what nobody else can do. But I've come to tell you that the same Jesus that was taken into heaven will give us the power of the Holy Ghost right now. >> Let me share this story with you. I started to share yesterday. Let me give you the full story right now. Uh there was one morning where I received a phone call in my home from one of my deacons in the home. Now his wife was the one that gave the phone call. She had uh called me because her husband was a truck driver and while he was driving his truck, he had a medical stroke on the highway. Thank God he did not kill anybody when he was driving his truck. They ended up finding him 45 minutes after his stroke. When they found him, he was unconscious. They rushed him to the hospital. And when they rushed to the hospital, they called his wife. His wife in turn called me and said, "Pastor, hustled down to the hospital. My husband had a stroke. It's not looking good." Oh, church. I got dressed as fast as I could. Pastor McKenzie, I put on my clothes and I started the car and I I drove as fast as I could downtown to the hospital. When I got to the hospital, I walked inside and there he was, my member, a deacon, laying there in the hospital. His wife was there. There were tears all around. And as she's laying there, tubes are in his nose and tubes are in his arms. And it's not looking good at all. As I stand there, his wife looks at me. And let me tell you something. I thank God for praying women. Can I say it again? I thank God for mothers that never stop praying for their children. >> I thank God for a church that knows THE POWER OF PRAYER. I was there and I stood over him and and as I was standing there, the wife said, "Pastor Lee, would you offer a prayer over my husband?" And I offered the prayer. She says, "Hold up, Pastor Lee." Says, "Hold up." Said, "Pastor Lee, God did not tell me that my husband is going to die." I said, "What?" She said, "God did not tell me that my husband was going to die." I said, 'Well, what did God tell you?' And she said, God told me to tell you, pray over my husband. She said, "Pastor Lee, doesn't the Bible say in James chapter 5, that if there be any sick amongst us, call for the elders of the church, anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith shall save the sick." She says, "Pastor Lee, DOESN'T THE BIBLE say that?" I said, "Yes, it does." And here's what she said. She says, "Well, Pastor Lee, obey the Bible." She said, "Go and call the elders." I called the elders of the church and we all came down to the hospital. When we got to the hospital, there was a doctor there. I thank God for every medical professional. But how many of you all know that God has the final say so? The doctor can say one thing, but how many you know God can say another thing. Where's your faith tonight? I'm standing there and we anoint him in oil and we pray a prayer. I prayed a a a sorry prayer. Yet God heard that prayer. We left the room and the next morning God woke me up early that morning and said, "Go down to the hospital." I went down to the hospital and and I got to the floor and I kid you not, it was almost like a scene out of a movie. I opened the door, the elevator opened up and the nurse was running down the hallway. As I opened the door, as she is running down the hallway, I said, "Oh Lord, this is probably not good." I said, I start running behind her to the room as well. When I got to the room, here's the door opens up and she says, "OH." I THOUGHT to myself, "Oh no, he's probably dead." I open and I go behind her and there is my member sitting up in the bed. >> A smile is on his face. And and I know you won't get it, but he he's from the southern part of Mississippi of of the United States, Mississippi. And there's a saying there, you got to know when to hold them and know when to fold them. He looked at me and said, "Pastor Lee, what are you doing here?" I said, "What are you doing here?" And he says, "You got to know when to hold them and know when to fold them." And I said, "Brother Payne, it's a miracle." And he says, "I know that my God is able." Amen. >> And from that moment to this moment, church, I've come all the way to tell you tonight that God IS ABLE. >> THAT GOD IS ABLE to do anything but fail. IF WE CAN BELIEVE GOD, GOD CAN DO MORE THAN WE EVER IMAGINED. ELIJAH. OH, I'm I'm going to Elijah does 16 major miracles. But Elisha is accounted for 32 major miracles in the word of God. >> He does double of what his mentor has done. Why? Because he daily surrendered to the power of the Holy Ghost. Can I show you one last text tonight that I hope will encourage you right now? Go with me to Second Kings 13. Go there. My time is is winding down. Second Kings 13. It it is probably one of the funniest stories in the Bible. It it it's connected to this text as my time winds down. Second Kings chapter number uh 13 and beginning at verse number 20 second Kings chapter 13 and verse 20. The Bible says there it is. So now so remember now Elisha asked for a double portion. I'm going to read it from the screen right here. Look at Elisha died. What happened to Elisha? Come on. What happened to him? He did what? >> He died and they buried him now. And the bands of the Moabites invaded the land at the coming end of the year. Verse verse next verse. And it came to pass as they were bearing a man that they spied a band of men, and they cast the man into the suppler of Elisha. And when the man was let down, he touched the bones of Elisha, and he revived and stood up on HIS FEET. OH, YOU'RE NOT HEARING THE WORD OF GOD TONIGHT. OKAY, LOOK. Can I can I paint the picture for you right now? Elisha is dead. They have put Elisha inside of the suppler. Now, I tell this is so funny y'all. I I think in picture, so please don't throw a rock at me right now. Uh there is a funeral procession going on. They are carrying a dead man on their shoulders. They are walking dignified. They're walking all nice and and holy. BUT ALL OF A SUDDEN, the enemies of Israel have jumped out of a bush and now they're about to attack the people of God. So watch this. They take the dead man and now they get rid of the weight. Can I tell you tonight that in order to walk with God, you have to get rid of your dead weight. There are some things that God is saying, "Get rid of." There are some things that God says, "Let go of." There are somebody tonight that God is saying, "Listen, I cannot fill you with my spirit until you LET GO OF THE THINGS I've asked you to let go of." church, let it go. It's not worth it. And when they let the dead man down, oh, this is powerful. I'm done. When they let the dead man down, he touches the bones of Elijah. Oh, I don't know if there's a piano player that can play really softly tonight. Hear me tonight. And and and what I what I found out was elders that Elisha had been dead for at least a year at this time. So his body has decomposed. His bones are the only thing left. Ah, but real soft. When the dead man touches Elisha, I've been trying to figure this out. What kind of power does a dead man's bones have? If the Oh, help me preach tonight. If the dead man's bones still have power [screaming] that a dead man can touch another dead man, BUT A DEAD MAN CAN NOW RISE BECAUSE THE DEAD MAN CALLED ELISHA STILL HAS POWER IN HIS BONES. >> WOO! CHURCH, I don't know about you, but I know this. The only way to have the power that God wants to give you is if you hear me tonight, obey and live. If you obey God, he'll fill you. If you obey God, HE'LL DO MORE than you could ever imagine. I'm a LIVING WITNESS, Y'ALL. GOD will bless your life. And I'm talking about every area of your life. Like the psalmist, the Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want. When you trust God, you will want for nothing because God is able to provide. How'all believe God's word tonight? You believe God's word tonight? Can I ask you one more question tonight? This is a powerful and sincere question. How many of you tonight want to say, "God, I want to surrender everything. [music] God, I want the power of your Holy Spirit." If that's you, why don't you stand to your feet tonight? If that's you, you want to say, "God, I want to be filled with your spirit. I don't want just ordinary and nominal Christianity." No, God, I want more. God, give me double of your Holy Spirit. Listen, I have 60 seconds left. In this last moments right here, can I ask you a question? One more tonight. Can God have all of you right [music] now? No. Can God have all of yourself? Your heart, your mind, even your body. Can God have all of you? One of the ways that [music] God wants all of you is for you to surrender and say yes to him. Even in baptism, even in rededication. [music] I have 15 seconds, but these last moments right now, there's somebody right now that [music] says yes to God. God, I want to give you my whole life. I want to surrender everything to you. If that's you tonight, I know it's a lot of us here, but but don't be ashamed of God tonight [music] because God will never be ashamed of you. I've come to ask you tonight, if that's you, will you please come and join me right now? Just come and join me at the altar right now. If you want to go give God everything to now God can now give you everything. I'm asking you to come quickly right now. Come quickly if you want God to not only fill you with his Holy Spirit. But you want to surrender to God right now and ask God, God do a work in me and through me. If that's you, why don't you make your way now? Make your way now. Here they come. Here. here. Come, [music] come, come, come quickly. Step out the aisle right now. This will be really fast. I won't prolong it tonight. I won't prolong. But if you want God right now to do amazing in your life, I want to ask you, will you come now? Will [music] you come and surrender everything to our good and gracious God? Hallelujah. You're coming now. You're coming. You're coming. This is why we come to camp meeting. Not just to sing the songs, but to surrender everything to God. He that believeth and is baptized, the Bible SAYS YOU SHALL BE SAVED, God is calling you right now because he wants you for himself for you to surrender all. And as you come, the song simply says, I surrender. I surrender [music] all. I surrender. I surrender all. Yes, Lord. Is there anyone else tonight you want to say yes to Jesus? You want to surrender all tonight? Yes. All to Jesus. I surrender. All to him. I freely give. Yes. Let's just sing this once this one part of this. >> There's somebody else. Somebody else. Somebody else right now. You want to surrender? All to Jesus. [singing] I surrender. All [singing and music] to him. I freely give. I know it's early in the encampment, but it's never too early to say yes to Jesus. I feel there ought to be somebody else tonight that want to say yes to God. If that's you, I want you to come and join us on the altar tonight. Just one, we're going to sing it one more time. Just a chorus, one more time. And if God is saying to you that you need to surrender tonight in the balcony on the main floor, God wants all of you. Let's sing it one more time. That's you. Walk down front tonight. I believe that the word of God is able to transform us, to give us power, and for God to do all that he wants to do in our lives. I want to pray over us right now and I want to ask you this. If you know in your heart that you need to res rededicate yourself, surrender to God, be baptized. I want you to please see our pastors on tonight because when the water is troubled, new life will begin. Your sins will be forgiven and God will give you the power of his. He that believeth and is baptized, baptized with water, hear me, and then baptized in the spirit. Most of us have been baptized in water, but we don't have what Elisha had, the Holy Spirit fully abiding in our lives. Father, tonight we ask you, please God, empty us of ourselves and our sin. And now God, please fill us with your spirit. Transform us. Make us to be all that you've called us to be. And God, give us power. Power to live right. Power to be right. And then when you shall come, may we be caught up in the clouds of glory to be with you all throughout the age ceaseless ages of eternity is my prayer in Jesus name. Amen. Amen.
