Video summary
The 2027 Cadillac Vistiq marks the second year of production with significant styling updates that distinguish it from its predecessor, most notably the removal of the unique graphics on the rear quarter windows to present a cleaner aesthetic. This electric all-wheel-drive SUV continues to be positioned as the "baby Escalade," offering three new paint options including Adobe Frost, Cashmere, and Granite Tri-Coat. Under the hood, the vehicle is powered by dual electric motors delivering 615 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, propelling it from zero to sixty in an impressive 3.7 seconds. With a range of up to 305 miles and the ability to add nearly 80 miles of charge in just ten minutes on a fast charger, the Vistiq combines supercar-like acceleration with respectable electric vehicle efficiency.
Inside the cabin, luxury is emphasized through high-end finishes such as wood trim, suede headliners, and an extensive audio system featuring 23 speakers from AKG housed within aluminum covers. The interior technology includes a massive 33-inch curved diagonal LED display that serves both as the instrument cluster and infotainment screen, offering Google-based navigation but lacking Apple CarPlay or Android Auto integration. Comfort is prioritized with standard heated and ventilated front seats equipped with massaging functions activated via a dial on the door panel, alongside spacious seating arrangements that offer up to 80 cubic feet of cargo capacity when all rows are folded down. Additional conveniences include an auto-sensing power tailgate operable by pressing the Cadillac logo on the rear hatch and a comprehensive suite of safety features like adaptive cruise control and blind spot steering assist.
Handling dynamics are managed by standard four-wheel independent sport suspension with adaptive damping that adjusts to road conditions, while higher trim levels receive adaptive air suspension for an even smoother ride. The vehicle also benefits from active rear steering in premium trims, which improves maneuverability during tight turns. While the third-row headrests can obstruct visibility when raised, folding them down reveals a clear view aided by a high-quality exterior-mounted rear camera mirror that remains visible regardless of cargo load. Overall, the reviewer concludes that while resale value for electric vehicles remains a current drawback compared to traditional powertrains, the Vistiq offers an exceptional driving experience with instant torque, serene cabin noise isolation thanks to acoustic laminated glass, and a level of build quality that rivals much more expensive luxury competitors.

What's up, you guys? Welcome back to
another one. If you are new to the
channel, I'm Goldpony and I do new car,
truck, SUV reviews on YouTube. And
today, we are in the brand new 2027
Cadillac Vistiq, courtesy of Faulkner
Cadillac in Mechanicsburg, PA. For more
information on their inventory, please
feel free to check out the link in the
description box below. And so, in case
you didn't know already, this is the
baby Escalade. It's an electric
all-wheel drive three-row SUV. And so,
this starts the second year of the
Vistiq. Now, there's some big styling
updates for 2027. Really one major
change when it comes to the styling for
2027. There's also three new colors for
the Vistiq as well. And of course, this
thing has over 600 horsepower, which is
kind of wild. So, ultimately in this
video, we will be testing out and going
over everything about this one from
acceleration to braking, steering feel,
ride quality, sound system, exhaust
clip, all that fun stuff. So, having
said all that, what do you guys say?
Let's just go ahead and jump right into
it. And as always, let's start with
pricing. So, there are several different
trim levels for the 2027 Vistiq. You got
the luxury starting at $79,495,
which is a modest $405 bump for the 2027
model year. That's not that bad. Sport
for $79,995.
You got the premium luxury for $93,995.
And lastly, the platinum starting at
$98,595.
But, regardless of the trim level that
you go with, the power plant on the
Vistiq is going to be the same. Powering
the beast will be dual electric motors,
which puts out 615 horsepower, 650 lb
feet of torque. That power is going to
be sent to all four wheels, giving you a
zero to 60 time coming in in an
impressive 3.7 seconds. That's super car
good. And so, you guys know we will be
testing out that acceleration a little
bit later in the video. But, as far as
the range goes, since this is an
electric SUV after all that comes in at
305 miles, that's pretty respectable
there. And fun fact for you when it
comes to that range, you can add 79 mi
of range in as little as 10 minutes on a
fast charger, of course. But, that's
pretty impressive. So, before we do any
kind of fun acceleration test here in
our Vistiq, I do want to mention to you
guys the drive modes cuz there's plenty
of them. And so, it's essentially
adjusted through the infotainment
screen, but drive modes will include
tour, sport, snow and ice, my mode, and
velocity max. And so, that velocity max
I'm going to assume is the V button
located on the left-hand side of the
steering wheel here, but adjusting
things like the throttle response, the
steering sensitivity, the damping
control settings, the braking
responsiveness, and the vehicle sound
enhancement, as well. So, now having got
all of that out of the way, what do you
guys say? Let's go ahead and find a
straightaway. Let's put the acceleration
here to the test, and let's go ahead and
do it in velocity max, and let's see how
quickly we can get our new 2027
Cadillac Vistiq here
to speed. All right, hit the little V
button. So, let's go ahead and see what
that does. Found our straightaway in 3 2
1 OH MY GOSH.
WOO, THIS THING'S FUN, MAN. This thing
is dang quick. Dang quick.
It's just instantaneous torque, man.
It's like instant power. The second you
hit the gas pedal, SO MUCH FUN. YOU
CANNOT BELIEVE this is a front-wheel
drive SUV with supercar 0 to 60 time.
It's absolutely insane how quick this
car is. It does not need to be this
quick, but might as well have it this
quick just because. But, anyways, it's a
heck of a blast. You're not going to
have any issues emerging onto the
highway. But, anyways, to go along with
that acceleration, as always, braking is
equally important. And so, four-wheel
ventilated disc brakes do come standard,
but I do want to mention to you guys, if
you were to go with that platinum trim
level, the The does get bumped up to
Brembo front brakes with six piston
front calipers and again, that's only if
you go with the platinum trim level.
Otherwise, you're going to get a
standard braking setup. By the way, as
braking fuel goes, because of the brake
regeneration, this thing does come to a
complete stop when you let off the gas
anyway, so I'm not sure you would
actually have to use the brakes, but
still they are there for you if you need
them. It is a pretty firm braking setup,
I will say that. So, it's definitely a
very nice braking feel, which makes
sense with a vehicle with over 600
horsepower, quite honestly, but anyways,
then touching on suspension and
handling, a four-wheel independent sport
suspension does come standard, but also
for all trim levels, you get an adaptive
damping suspension as well, which you
guys know I always love to pitch because
I love that. It essentially monitors
each shock absorber individually, not
only adjusting to the road
imperfections, giving you a smoother
ride, but it also tightens up that
suspension during heavy cornering,
giving you better handling as well. So,
really does give you the best of both
worlds. So, that is something I always
look for, especially on luxury
automakers, cuz it doesn't always come
standard, but when it does, you can
definitely tell the difference. But, for
the premium luxury and the platinum trim
levels, you also get an adaptive air
suspension. So, when you have that
combination of those two, you're not
going to find a better ride quality than
that. I'm just going to tell you that
right off the bat. Also, with those two
trim levels, you get active rear
steering, so that's going to assist you
with turning radius. Uh it steers the
rear wheels up to 3 and 1/2 degrees, so
that's definitely going to assist with
turning radius as well for those tight
U-turns, but overall, as far as ride
quality goes, it's been so nice. This is
one of the smoothest rides in existence
right now. So, and again, that's due in
part because you got the adaptive
damping suspension plus the adaptive air
suspension. You can't beat that when it
comes to ride quality. That's the best
you can get right now. So, no issues
there. As far as cabin noise goes, I'll
be quiet.
It's pretty serene. And you do get an
acoustic laminated front windshield and
acoustic laminated front door glass as
well. So, that is the reason the cabin
is as serene as it is. That as for a
steering feel goes, it feels just right,
honestly. It's not a super heavy
steering feel, but it's not a
loosey-goosey steering feel either that
you typically find on SUVs. It feels
just where this SUV should feel. So, I
got no issues there either. Now,
touching on rear visibility, looking out
my rear-view mirror here, I will say
this third row headrest are kind of
beefy. So, if you don't have the third
row in use, go ahead and fold down that
third row, and you're not going to have
that issue, and you can see perfectly
fine out the back. So, it's perfectly
fine for me. I just got the third row up
right now for whatever reason. So, that
is what it is. Also, I did want to
mention, let me go ahead and flip this
real quick. Yes, that's what I thought.
Okay, you got the rear camera mirror as
well. So, if you go on a road trip to
Ocean City, Maryland, or really
wherever, you get what I'm saying, but
and you got the cargo piled all the way
up to the ceiling in the back there, you
obviously are not going to be able to
use your rear-view mirror. However, you
got the rear camera mirror, and that
camera is mounted on the outside of the
Vistiq. So, therefore, even if you have
the cargo piled up to the ceiling, you
can still see who or what is behind you
because of the rear camera mirror. So,
visibility-wise, that is a giant plus as
well. But, touching on forward
visibility a little bit, rain-sensing
windshield wipers do come standard on
the Vistiq. So, whenever this thing
detects any kind of mist or rainfall,
it's going to automatically turn on this
windshield wipers for you. Also, lastly,
for forward visibility, I'm looking at a
head-up display. It's projecting safety
features to the right, also my speed
right now, and it's super bright. I can
see them perfectly fine through these
James Oro frames. So, feel free to go
ahead and click that link if you wanted
to support the channel by I love the
head-up display. That looks super good
as well, and that's for the premium
luxury and the platinum trim levels.
But, that pretty much rounds out the
performance segment of this review, you
guys. Let's now go ahead and take a look
at the exterior now of our brand new
2027
Cadillac Vistiq. All right, so here she
is, you guys, the new 2027 Cadillac
Vistiq finished in Adobe Frost with the
black roof. That is the the color combo
we we with us here today, and it's
actually one of 150 currently available
in the US and Canada. So, it's kind of a
rare spec, so that's pretty cool. So,
that's one of the new colors, by the
way, one of the three new colors for the
2027 Vistiq is the Adobe Frost. You also
have Cashmere and Granite Tri-Coat is
the third new color for this year. But,
anyways, as always, let's go ahead and
start with where the Vistiq is made.
Taking a look at the VIN, first
character is the number one, indicating
that the Vistiq is built and assembled
here in the US, in case you were
curious. But, starting up front, you
will find an illuminated front grill. It
looks pretty darn cool when it is
illuminated with the illuminated emblem
then as well. To the sides, LED
headlights with lighting choreography.
That is definitely very nice looking as
well. You also, of course, have LED
daytime running lights. You get the
automatic feature. You get automatic
high beams then as well. So, if you have
your high beams on at night and it
senses a vehicle coming in the opposite
direction, it's going to automatically
dim them back to low beams. Then, when
that vehicle is gone, it's going to
automatically bounce it back up the high
beams for you there. So, always kind of
nice, but do want to come back to that
Adobe Frost. Get up a little bit closer
here to just to show you guys. It's not
a metallic finish. It is a matte finish,
which is pretty sticking cool. So, been
seeing more matte finishes lately, but
it always looks good and it's unlike
most on the road. So, pretty darn cool.
But, that pretty much rounds out the
front end of the Vistiq. Let's now go
ahead and swing around to the side. All
right, so we're now sitting around to
the side of this one. Starting all the
way to the top, you got some gloss black
roof rails there. Uh chrome or gloss
black upper window trim, depending upon
the spec that you go with, of course.
Rear privacy glass does come standard,
but the one major change for 2027. You
guys remember those weird graphics on
the rear quarter window? Well, they're
completely gone for 2027. That's That's
a big change because that was definitely
something unique and unlike anything
else last year. But, uh yeah, it looks
pretty darn clean without them. I got to
be honest for 2027 here. But, taking a
look at the side mirrors, they are
body-colored power adjustable side
mirrors. They will be heated with LED
integrated turn signals. They're going
to be power folding, and you get an auto
dimming driver side mirror then as well.
Little bit of front fender accents
essentially just with the Cadillac logo
there. You got flush door handles unless
they're popped out like they currently
are right now. And as far as the
charging port goes, it's going to be
found on the driver side front fender
there. So, that's where that is located.
And taking a look down at the wheel
setup, it is going to be a completely
different wheel configuration for each
individual trim level. So, starting with
the luxury, you get 20-in silver alloys
for the Sport, 21-in diamond cut alloys.
For the Premium Luxury, it's going to be
22-in diamond cut alloys. And then for
the Platinum, and that is actually the
one we have with us here today, that is
going to be 22-in reverse rim alloys.
So, that's what they're going to look
like. But that pretty much rounds out
the side profile. Let's now go ahead and
swing around to the back. So, then else
this we are around to the back of this
one starting all the way to the top.
We're looking at a gloss black shark fin
antenna. Probably cuz we got the gloss
black roof with us here today. Also, a
rear spoiler with an integrated brake
light. If you're wondering where the
rear window wiper is located, typical
Cadillac fashion, they've done this on
their Escalades for quite a while. And
Chevy does this on their Tahoes and
Suburbans as well. Hopefully you guys
could see that, but it's tucked away
underneath somewhere under there. But
that's how that works. LED tail lights
do come standard back there. And of
course, there is no exhaust clip here.
They typically do that next in the
video, but this is an EV. So, there's
not going to be any of that. But having
said that, let's now go ahead and make
our way to the interior of the 2027
Cadillac Vistiq. So, then else this we
are around to the back of the Vistiq.
When it comes to opening that rear
tailgate, it is an auto sense power
tailgate. So, that's pretty cool. And
there is a button on the key fob of
course as well. But I think the coolest
way to open in that rear tailgate is
going to be through the Cadillac logo on
the back of the Vistiq. You simply just
press in on the Cadillac logo, and that
is how it opens up. It's kind of like
pressing on on the back of a Volkswagen
Golf, and it opens up for you. So, it's
the 007 way to open it up. That's the
way I would always open this one up. But
anyways, once opened up, cargo capacity
comes in at 15.2 cubic feet behind that
third row. If that was not enough space,
of course, the third row does fold down.
It's going to bump that up to 43 cubic
feet. Then with all rows folded, 80.2
cubic feet. So, that's a pretty
substantial amount of space. Obviously,
not as much space as the Escalade, but
still plenty of space back there. But,
the cool thing is to fold down the rear
seats, there were some buttons found in
the cargo area. So, it did make folding
them down super nice and convenient
there. But, there are some chrome-plated
tie-down anchors back there. You have
LED cargo lighting. I did find a 12-V
power outlet back there as well. Then if
you were to lift up underneath of that
cargo floor, you will find some in-floor
storage, more than likely to put the
charging cables. But, then making our
way up to the third row legroom, that
comes in at 30.6 inches. So, for
reference, I'm being even 6-ft tall, not
a ton of space for me back there. But, I
will say the second row seats do slide
forward and back, so you probably could
make a little more space for the third
row passengers, but definitely better
left for small children. I'll just put
it that way. And they would be perfectly
comfortable in the third row though.
But, rear ventilation, of course, does
come standard. You got cup holders back
there as well, and dual rear USB
charging ports for them too. But, then
making our way up to the second row
legroom, that comes in at a very
impressive 40.1 inches. Typically,
anything 40 or above, I always say is
luxury style rear legroom. So, that's
plenty fine. For reference, I'm still an
even 6-ft tall. This is how much space I
had in the second row there. Dual rear
USB charging ports coming standard. You
got bench seating for the luxury and
sport, and then captain's chairs for the
premium luxury and platinum. That's why
we have them with us here today. It's
going to be optional on the sport, those
captain's chairs, by the way. Heated
second row does come standard. You got
an infotainment screen for the second
row passengers as well to kind of adjust
everything. I always think that's pretty
cool in this thing. And rear window
sunshades would be nice. I think that's
the only thing I would probably change
about the the second row there. But,
then making our way up to the front
seats, power adjustable front seats with
four-way power lumbar coming standard.
Heated and ventilated front seats do
come standard. Massaging front seats
coming standard as well. All right, in
case you were curious about how the
massaging seats work cuz I didn't pick
up on it for the longest time. There's a
circular dial found on the doors. If you
press that in, that is how you activate
the massaging seats. So, go figure. I
feel like that should have been set up a
different way, but I guess I got used to
it. But, memory settings coming with the
premium luxury and platinum trim levels.
Overall, as far as seat comfort goes,
it's plenty fine now that I have the
massaging seats going. So, you can't
argue with that. But, now let's go ahead
and take a look at the steering wheel.
It is tilt and telescoping. It is power
adjustable. It is heated. And it is
two-spoke. Which is kind of cool. It's
kind of unique cuz you usually see that
three-spoke steering wheel with the the
center post coming down in the middle at
the 6:00 position. But, this is just a
two-spoke one. So, that's kind of
creative. Now, making our way to the
startup, let me start up by showing you
guys the key here. You got your Cadillac
logo on the one side. Then, when you
flip it over, lock, unlock, the button
to pop the rear tailgate, and the times
two button, that is your remote start.
Which, of course, comes standard on all
trim levels across the board. But, it is
all keyless entry with no push button
start because all you need to do is
simply sit down on this thing with the
vehicle sensing the key, and then just
put it in drive or reverse or whatever
you need to do, and you're going.
There's no button start or anything like
that. But, today we're making our way to
the gauge cluster here. This is pretty
cool. This is a curved 33-in diagonal
LED display. So, that counts the
infotainment screen, of course, as well.
But, anyways, it does look pretty nice.
Overall, as far as the gauges go, you
got a big old digital readout front and
center. You have your outside
temperature, time of the day, what day
of the week it is, the date, how many
miles you have left until you hit empty.
Of course, there's your charging
percentage as well.
I wasn't able to find it, but if there
is a way to adjust the look of the gauge
cluster,
let me know. I know if you put it in
sport driving mode, it changes it a
little bit. But, this car is quite a bit
techy, and I'm sure there's probably a
way. So, let me know in the comment
section if there is a way to go ahead
and adjust the gauge cluster, but it
still looks good nonetheless. Now, let's
go ahead and make our way to overall
interior quality. There's a panoramic
dual pane power sunroof that does come
standard for all trim levels. Uh the
only thing with power sunroof, although
it is large and in charge and I like
that, I think a frosted glass option
would be nice kind of like the
Volkswagen ID Buzz does where you can
make it kind of open or you can frost
it. It's kind of your choice. There's a
way to do that. Or like BMW Sky Lounge
LED roof where it looks like little
ambient lighting color stars up in the
roof as well. I think that's another
option Cadillac could do. I just a
couple options Cadillac there for future
improvement. LED interior lighting does
come standard. You get Homelink controls
for up to three different garage doors.
You get dual wireless phone chargers
located just below this mini
infotainment screen here front and
center to control the climate control
settings. Uh so, that's pretty cool that
there's two of them up there. And by the
way, there is five-zone climate control
that comes standard on this thing. So,
driver, passenger, second row
passengers, and third row passengers
then as well. So, that's pretty cool.
There's also a bunch of hidden storage
found underneath the wireless phone
chargers there. Uh there's storage to
the right of the driver seat as well.
It's not a ton, but it's probably enough
to like put a cell phone or something
like that. Looks like it's outlined in
wood and uh a little bit of ambient
lighting. So, that's pretty cool. And in
case anybody was curious where the
headlight button was, I just figured
that out too. That's on the left-hand
side of the gauge cluster. Never in a
million years would I have thought that
and I think I just forgot about it. That
is where that is located. So, that's
pretty cool. I like these little knobby
thingies for the climate control uh
vents here but it's finished in a silver
and it's texturized and it looks very
high quality there. So, I like that.
Also, like the wood trim found on the
doors here. That looks good. Looks like
we have some aluminum speaker covers.
We'll be testing out that sound system
in a little bit here. Also, nice
texturized finish to the uh LED interior
lighting up top here. And that lighting
by the way, you could just simply barely
touch it and it turns on and off. So,
that's pretty cool how that works.
There's no like physical button. Also,
looks like we have a suede headliner.
Always like seeing that. That's very
high-end as well. Looks like we have
speakers in the the headrest up here.
So, again, going to test out that sound
system in a little bit. Aluminum speaker
covers on the ceiling speakers, too.
This sound system has got to be
absolutely nuts. But, anyways, interior
quality is perfectly fine. Definitely
did not have any issues with that. But,
speaking of, let's go ahead and make our
way to the infotainment screen here. So,
again, this is part of the 33-in curved
diagonal screen with 9K resolution, by
the way. Bluetooth and audio streaming
up there. No Android Auto Apple CarPlay,
but you do have Google-based navigation.
So, it's essentially the same thing, I
guess. Ambient lighting settings you can
adjust up there. You can see your
charging statistics, of course. Just
playing around with all of this right
now. Of course, you got your navigation
up there, like I was saying. Drive
modes, as well, along with your radio
information. And so, this might be the
most speakers that I have ever seen on
paper in a vehicle. So, this is a
23-speaker AKG sound system. That's a
lot of speakers, you guys. So, let's go
ahead and turn on the radio. Let's see
what we got playing today. And let's
test out the clarity of this one.
All right, that song was called Make It
to Heaven. So, don't we all want to get
there? But, uh yeah, that was plenty
fine. Nothing wrong with that sound
system. The clarity, I think, is what
impressed me the most there. It was
crystal clear. Which makes sense with 23
speakers in the size of really any
vehicle. So, that was a pretty darn good
sound system. And again, I feel like
most of the speakers, if not all of
them, are covered in aluminum. So, super
high-end sound system there. But,
anyways, last thing I wanted to mention
to you guys on that infotainment screen
is when you do put the vehicle in
reverse, you will find a rearview camera
coming standard across the board. You
also get that surround view monitor
there to the left, as well. That does
come standard for all trim levels,
giving you that bird's-eye view, which
is always is going to lead us into
safety. And so, first thing I always
like to mention is the IIHS rating. This
one is not yet been rated by IIHS
though, so I'm not going to mention it.
Front, side, side, curtain airbags do
come standard. Driver and passenger knee
airbags up front as well. In the back
you got latch, aka lower anchors and
tethers for children for the rear car
seats. Rear child door locks, tire
pressure monitoring system, but also
coming standard. Driver attention
assist, traffic sign recognition.
There's a teen driver mode, which
prevents your teen driver from turning
off the safety features. I'm not sure
you want your teen driver in a car that
goes 0 to 60 in 3.6 seconds, quite
honestly, but I digress. Adaptive cruise
control, blind spot steering assist,
front pedestrian and bicyclist braking,
forward collision alert, rear cross
traffic alert, and automatic emergency
braking then as well. So, overall what
are my customer final thoughts of the
Vistic? This thing is stupid quick, like
crazy quick. 0 to 60 in 3.6 with all
that power right off the bat, it's
absolutely bonkers.
70 miles in 10 minutes, that's pretty
darn impressive as well. Like, electric
cars are still getting better. Like, I'm
impressed with that. A great interior
quality, all the high-end finishes from
the aluminum speaker covers to the wood
trim. It's just done really darn well as
expected, I guess. Also plenty of space,
over 80 cubic feet of cargo space,
there's nothing wrong with that. I think
if there's one room for improvement, and
really it's not a big deal if you can
afford this thing anyways, is any EV, no
matter which EV you go with,
when it comes time to trade it in,
you're going to find they have the worst
resale value, really of any vehicles out
there. So, that's the only trade-off
with EVs right now at least. Maybe
that'll change in the future when more
people start getting them, but for now,
yeah, the resale value just isn't all
there. But again, you can get a Tesla,
it would be the exact same thing. So, no
matter what, it's just the way it is.
But that pretty much rounds out this
one, you guys. Thank you so much for
