Video summary

The video features a detailed review of various drugstore makeup products specifically curated for mature skin, where the creator evaluates each item based on performance, texture, and suitability for aging concerns. The presenter begins by discussing setting sprays and primers, ultimately passing on the Milani Make It Last Microfine Mist due to its drying alcohol content, while highly recommending the NYX Lid Lingerie line for its long-wearing matte and shimmer formulas that do not dry out eyelids. She also praises the Morphe Cloud Light blushes for their baked formula and saturated colors that diffuse beautifully, alongside the Revolution Beauty natural nude balm, which she finds excellent for concealing creased or dried-out foundation throughout the day. Moving into complexion products, the creator expresses strong enthusiasm for the L'Oreal Balm Foundation, noting that despite its initial tacky feel, it dries down to a natural finish with good coverage that does not settle into fine lines. However, she is less impressed by the L'Oreal Infallible Cushion Foundation, citing issues with product quantity and overall preference for other cushion options. For setting powders, she gives a pass to the Next Wonder Snatch powder due to low value but recommends the Revolution Beauty Powder Pops for its effective oil control and blurring properties without feeling heavy. She also highlights the Ulta Beauty contour sticks as incredibly creamy and blendable, particularly praising their lack of orange tones which makes them versatile for both contouring and bronzing. The review continues with a focus on eye and brow essentials, where the presenter falls in love with the Maybelline Colossal Bubble Mascara for its ability to build length without smudging, and recommends the Morphe Brow Definer pencil for its comfortable angle and dual-ended design. She is equally excited about the Maybelline Sculpting Stick eyeliners, which offer a micro-thin tip for precise application and a built-in brush for creating wings, boasting impressive 24-hour staying power. Additionally, she lauds the Morphe Jewel Intentions eyeshadow palette for its tonal shades that allow for versatile looks using just a few colors, reinforcing her belief that these affordable options rival high-end quality. In conclusion, the video serves as a practical guide for shoppers looking to navigate the drugstore market with confidence, offering clear distinctions between products that succeed on mature skin and those that fall short. The creator emphasizes that while some items like the Elf blush sticks were too emollient and faded quickly, others like the NYX Wonder Snatch concealer provide a great dupe for more expensive serums without creasing. By sharing her personal experiences with each product's longevity, texture, and finish, she aims to help viewers make informed purchasing decisions, encouraging them to try specific items while skipping others that may not deliver the desired results for aging skin.

Hey friends, I have a bunch of new makeup in front of me and most of it is drugstore. I think I'm going to reserve the high-end stuff for later after I try it quite a bit. So, these are fairly new to me. I've just been trying them. I'm going to rapid-fire through purchase or pass. We're going to do that. I'll give you the reason that I say either one of those, so you know that and hopefully you'll get some great recommendations out of this. Everything that I have on, including my necklace, my earrings, the shirt, all of the makeup will be listed for you down below as well. And also all the products that I hold up will have a number in the corner of the screen that you can go down and shop in the description box or in the first pin comment that way to find the products if you'd like to. So, let's get going because we have quite a bit to go through. Pass or purchase on the Milani Make It Last Microfine Mist for me, pass. This was very drying. It does have alcohol in it and so it is going to be very drying. If you're an oily person, though, you might like this a lot in place of the One Size because it really truly is a very fine mist, which is lovely, but for me it was just too drying throughout the day. I tried out the Super Superlock Maybelline, this is the brow setter gel. This is a purchase. This is so good. It holds your brows. I have hairs that on this eyebrow right here that stick straight down and this one does the trick so good. If you have gray hair, it's going to also hold that gray hair in place. Such a good eyebrow gel. NYX has their Lid Lingerie Matte and they also have a new shimmer one. I do like both of them. They're both very long wearing and they both both really dry down really well without drying out your eyelids. That's a huge thing for me, but they don't stay tacky. I use this one. This one is in Nude Endo and this is such a good one for using as an eye primer base and it just works out so well to take away all the discoloration. I actually really, really love this one for that, but their colors are beautiful as well. Also, Morphe recently came out with their Cloud Light blushes. You guys, these are incredibly beautiful. They are every bit as good quality as the powders, which I use all the time. This is my second powder that I absolutely love in Dawn. I'll link this one for you as well. These blushes are are saturated, but at the same time you can diffuse them out very pretty. They have really pretty colors. I'm sure they'll come out with more. Morphe does blushes really, really well and this is like a baked formula that just looks so pretty on cheeks and I also tried from Revolution Beauty. This is their natural nude is the color. These are their balms and you can see that you have to break that seal right off the bat. But, what you get is left with is this natural looking balm, kind of like Jones Road. It has the same kind of text- texture as that. You can use this if you get the situation during the day where your concealer looks terrible, creasing, dried out, whatever you get with that. You can use that right under there. I did hear about this from the makeup artist on TikTok. I can't remember what her name is right now. She's also on Instagram. I can't remember what her name is. If I think of it, it'll go up on the screen for you guys. But, love this and glad that she mentioned it. It's a really good product for doing that. Here's the Morphe Cloud Light powder, but it's in a darker color that I've been using for a bronzer and it is a really good one, really nice one for warming up the face. This is their darkest color, I believe, in sunset. It might not be the darkest one. I know, I think it is. I think it is the darkest one. So, this is a beautiful powder from a Revolution Beauty. Their Bouncy Glow Highlighter and I think this is the rose colored one. Let me see what the color is. Dawn. This is a feel like almost like Super Shock Shadows from ColourPop. It has that same feel and when you get it on your cheeks, it's going to just have glow. Nothing more, no glitter in it. It's going to give you a beautiful beautiful glow and I absolutely love this product. It reminds me of high-end products. I think it's just such a good one. I'm really in love with that. It gets sent from Maybelline the Colossal Bubble Mascara and I had tried this before but I'm going to tell you that I fell in love with it. I didn't expect to. I thought, "You know, I think I've tried this before and I think I didn't like it but I did. I really ended up enjoying it." It builds up lashes. The lashes look beautiful and natural and it really gives a ton of length and it stays all day. For me, there was no smudging on it whatsoever. And then I tried the Morphe brow definer and I really love this one. This one is in the color hazelnut. I don't know about the color. It seemed just a tiny bit warm to me but what I loved about it is the angle, the pencil itself and then of course you get the spoolie on the other end. Really great product that was easy to use. Um not too stiff, not too emollient to where it just rubbed off but really good one and I'm enjoying using that one a lot too. Elf did bring out their sticks on their blush and on their bronzer. I will tell you that I feel like these are just they seem like they are compared to all the other blushes that are going on right now, they seem just a little bit too emollient like they wiped away too quickly. So that was my problem with that one. With these, so these are a pass on this one. I'm not really really happy about that. This one is in the color medium on their contour bronzer stick and I didn't like this color at all either. Very quickly throughout the day, they just went away. L'Oreal came out with two foundations that I recently tested. They came out with their balm foundation quite a while ago, and this is a gorgeous foundation, by the way. Absolutely adore and love this foundation for mature skin. Because even though it is a balm product and it kind of feels, you know, real tacky as it's going on, it dries down and it looks very natural on your skin. This gives good coverage and yet doesn't feel like heavy coverage on your skin. And I I actually really love this. I used it with my sponge and found that it covered up a lot of like dark spots and whatnot on my face. So, I actually really enjoyed using this. L'Oreal came out with their Infallible Cushion Foundation as well. I feel like this is light medium buildable coverage. One thing that I am not crazy about a cushion foundation, I left my cover on there because I did not want it to dry out. So, one thing that I'm not crazy about with a cushion foundation is that you just don't get that much. Um it's a great concept to be able to take it on the go or whatever, and that's probably what I would use it for, but I don't know if I like this particular foundation just for foundation. I think that you can do better in a lot of other cushion foundations. These eyeliners from Maybelline, I love these things. You guys, you have to check these out. These are called sculpting sticks. One is in Smooth Espresso. They're 24-hour liners. They have an angle on it again, but wow, this is a micro thin liner that you can do your upper lash line or your lower, either one. It has this really great angled little teeny tiny brush on the other end. So, you can go in and do a wing if you are somebody that likes wings, then you can do them very easily. It just is a great little brush on that end. I was so shocked at how much I love this. And as far as staying power, fantastic staying power on those. Next has this powder right here, which is their Wonder Snatch powder. Although I really like this powder, feel like you don't get very much at all for what's in here. So, this one was a pass for me. It's a nice setting powder, keep that in mind as well. Uh Revolution Beauty, this is the powder pops and this one is in rose. This comes in a few different colors. This rose is great. The oil control on this is really good. The blurring property is really good, but it doesn't feel super heavy. I really did enjoy this one and I feel like this one keeps your shine at bay as well. This is the NYX Wonder Snatch concealer. I did put this in another video as a alternative to the Tower 28. Definitely feel like this is a dupe. This is really good. It has that same serum consistency. Thin enough, but pigmented enough that it's going to cover really bad dark circles, but thin enough for a mature skin that it's not going to crease and it's not going to settle in heavy into those fine lines. Ulta Beauty came out with their new contour sticks. Um loved this. Absolutely loved how creamy it was, how well it blend out blended out on my skin. And I think this one is the light medium color. This is the the perfect contour color and it has no orange [clears throat] in it whatsoever. You could use this as a bronzer, but I probably would just stick with it just as a contour. Very creamy and very beautiful. Milani came out with their tubing mascara. I felt like this was better than their last version and I did like it very much, but I did feel like the Maybelline Sky Tubes actually beat Milani out on that. This just for some reason it built up like nothing else I've seen. You can continue to build on itself and it just it looks so good. Separates, it it comes off easy. It's just a beautiful beautiful product. I love it and I would say skip the Milani and go for the Maybelline. I told you all that I was going to try these ones from Morphe when I had that PR haul and these are amazing shadows. And I think that you can get all kinds of looks out of these. All I did with this one right here, which this is the Jewel Intentions, so it has a very deep mauve and then kind of a light purple topper and then the cream color right here that's a matte. So, matte, matte, and shimmer. And all I did today was I put that matte right there all over everything on my eye and clear up into the onto the brow bone right up here, um just as a little bit of a transition. And then I put this that is the purple on top of it. That's all I did today for an eye shadow. And the eye shadow look looks tonal and I I love it. And I can tell you that all of these palettes are just they're just beautiful. All right, that is it for today's video. I hope that you did enjoy seeing these today and I hope that you are relaxing and enjoying the rest of your day as well. Tell me if you tried any of these products down in the comment section. I would love to hear that from you. Take care. Love you. Talk to you soon. Bye-bye, friends.
