#2 - Do You Really Want To Be Made Whole? - Pr. William Lee | August 08, 2026

I want to invite your attention tonight as we go to the word of God this evening to the Gospel of John chapter 5. As you go there, won't you bow your heads with me as we go to God in prayer? Let's pray together. Eternal Father in heaven. God, once again, we thank you tonight that spiritual things are spiritually discerned. And I pray God tonight for the power of your spirit to attend to every single last one of our hearts, God, right now. God, speak to us in these next few moments. For we ask it in Jesus' name. Amen. The Gospel of John, chapter number five, beginning at verse number one. John chapter 5. And I want to begin reading tonight beginning at verse number one. Tonight, I want you to hear God's word from the King James version of the Bible. Tonight, the word of the Lord says tonight, Bible says, "After this, there was a feast of the Jews." And Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Verse two says, "Now at Jerusalem there is by the sheep market, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethea, having five porches." Verse three says, "In there lay a great multitude of impotent folk, a blind halt, withered, waiting for the movement of the water." Verse four says, "For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool and troubled the water. Who so then first after the troubling of the waters stepped in was made whole of the disease which he had." Verse 5 says, "Now there was a certain man there which had an infirmity for 30 and 8 years. When Jesus saw him lie, he knew that he had now been a long time in that case. And he said unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?" Verse 7 says, "The impotent man answered and said, Sir, I have no man when the water is troubled to put me into the pool. But while I am coming, another step of the down before me." Verse eight says, "And Jesus said unto him, rise, take up thy bed, and walk." Verse N says last verse and immediately Bible says the man was made whole and took up his bed and walked and on the same day was the Sabbath. Who says amen to God's word tonight? I want to speak tonight on the subject entitled, "Do you really want to be made whole?" Do you really want to be made whole? church. I once heard a story about a man who was nearly drowning to death. Uh he was drowning to death at a beach. He was there with his friends and and they were out in the seashore laughing and joking and having a good time amongst themselves. But suddenly as they were out in the water, a wave, a current caught them. And at the very first time, they could not handle the wave. He tried to swim back on his own, but the harder he fought, the more exhausted he became. The current began to sweep him away deeper into the water. Within moments, panic set in, and he started to think to himself, "I'm about to die." The people were on the seashore. The the music was playing. The children were laughing. Life was going on all around them. But this man was drowning in the water. Finally, with the little strength that he had left, he threw one hand in the air and he screamed, "Help me! Help me! I'm about to die." And at that very moment, he stopped pretending he was okay. And somebody came to his rescue. Church, tonight I want to tell you that there are people here at camp meeting who look good on the outside, but generally you're drowning. Drowning in depression, drowning in grief, drowning in addiction, drowning in loneliness, drowning in debt, drowning in anxiety, and even drowning in sin. And the reality is that some of us are drowning silently. You see, we come to church every week and we put our smiles on our faces. We say the same thing. Happy Sabbath. God is good all the time. God is good. And yet on the inside, we are exhausted. And the dangerous thing about drowning is that sometimes people are drowning quietly. They don't say anything at all. And that's what we see in John chapter 5. The Bible says in John five, turn there again. Jesus asked the man a most important question. He asked him, "Do you want to be made whole?" Because before healing can happen, you have to admit that you need help from God. And maybe that's why God brought us to camp meeting throughout this next week. Because deep down on the inside, you're tired of fighting the current of life by yourself. Maybe tonight you will say, "God, I really want you as the Lord and Savior of my life." In John chapter 5, we are introduced to a man whom the Bible says has been sick for 38 long years. Can you imagine church tonight being sick with the physical element for 38 long years? In John chapter 5 and verse two, the Bible says that he is at the place called Besada, which is literally the house of mercy. Now, if you look at the word beta, you'll see the last three letters of that word is SDA. He is at the SDA Church of Mercy. Hundreds of people are there. They come every single day to the pool of Bada. Now watch this because the Bible says that around the pool there are people who are sick with all kinds of problems. The blind are there. The lame are there. The paralyzed are there. The forgotten are there at the pool. Those who have been disregarded by life are there. Jesus is at Solomon's porch. And the Bible says that there are sick people from all walks of life that are there. It is a sad lot. Broken people, sick people, lame people, blind, the paralyzed. Everybody has come to the SDA church because they have a problem. Nobody can help anybody else. They gather at the pool every day at the same time. Everybody at the pool is broken. Can I preach tonight somebody? Uhhuh. There are some Kenyans at the pool. There are some Nigerians at the pool. There are some Caribbean folk at the pool. There are some people from the bush at the pool. There are Canadians at the pool. There are Hispanics, Latinos, Native Americans, Asians, Pacific Islanders. They have all gathered. The white people are there. The black people are there. Everybody is at the pool because everybody has a problem. You may not say amen tonight, but can I tell you tonight, everybody has a problem tonight. It doesn't matter where you come from. It doesn't matter how much money you may have. It doesn't matter what your last name is. All of us have a problem and is called sin. Every last one of us have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Matter of fact, the Bible says in Romans 3 and verse 10, the Bible says, "There is none righteous. No, not one." Listen somebody, it does not matter how big your Bible is. Again, everybody has come short of the glory of God. And the Bible says tonight that there are some there again that are paralyzed. Others have emotional paralysis. Some have spiritual paralysis, financial paralysis, relationship paralysis. And notice this, this man has been sick for 38 long years. For 38 years, he's been waiting for something better. For 38 years, his heart has been hurting. For 38 long years, he has been experiencing disappointment after disappointment. He's been watching other people get blessed, but he himself has not gotten better at all. Can you imagine watching everybody move forward while you're still in the same place? Church, hear me tonight. There is a danger of living stuck. Living stuck in the past. Are you hear me tonight, somebody? Living stuck in your sins. Living stuck in the things that have happened to you over your lives. The man has adjusted to his dysfunction. His dysfunction has now become his reality. And when you live in dysfunction for so long, dysfunction can become your new normal. You become satisfied with mediocracy. You become satisfied with a form of godliness but no power. For 38 years, this man has been dealing with a personal problem. That's really a sin problem that he has caused probably on his own self. He is physically lame. Now listen, the Bible says that somewhere in this man's past, he had led a lifestyle of sin. The Bible does not tell us what he did or what led to his current condition. But all we know is that somewhere in this man's past, his past sins have now caught up with him in his present. And now he's feeling the guilt from the past. Oh church, Galatians chapter 6 and verse 7. Go there right now. Galatians 6 and verse 7. You know this text tonight. The Bible says Galatians 6 and verse 7. The Bible says this. It says, "Be not deceived. For God is not mocked. For whatsoever a man seweth, that shall he also what everybody?" Oh, come on. Say, "Well, he should do what everybody reap. Whatever a man seweth, that shall he also reap." My mother used to say, "What goes around Oh, you know my mother tonight. comes around and what's done in the dark will come out in the light. It may not come out tonight, but it may come out tomorrow. Are you not hearing me tonight, somebody? It may not come out tonight, but it may come out nine months down the road. And if we're not careful, the pain can become our identity. You see, some people have become so broken for so long that they no longer expect change. Some people have been in church for so long that they have been bound and never expect that they can be healed from where God has placed them right now. See, some people know scripture, but they have no victory. We know hymns, but we have no peace. We know religion, but we have no transformation. And the goal of the enemy is not just to keep us bound, but the goal of the enemy is to convince us that we will never change. But how many of you all know tonight that greater is he that's within us than he that's within this world. That when we come to Jesus, Jesus can change our lives. Oh, tonight, saints of the living God, I didn't come all the way from the United States of America to play games. I've come to preach the word of God. And I've come to tell you tonight that God can change us if you want to be changed. Oh, I'm sorry to get so excited tonight, somebody, but I know what God can do. Because the Bible says, "If any man be in Christ, he becomes a new creature. Old things are passed away. Behold, all things become brand new. GOD can take you from where you are and God can transform your life so that you can now be the man and the woman of God that God has destined for you to be. There is power in the word of God. God knows how to change our lives. I want to testify for a moment. I was that student. Where are my students tonight? Can I see your hands? You're in school. Let me see your hands. Raise them high. Let me see tonight. Oh, I see some of you all tonight. I was that student that struggled in school. Oh, don't judge me. Amen. Don't judge me. I struggled in school. I sure did. I was that kid that had a hard time learning to read and write. Matter of fact, in the third grade, I could not read in THE THIRD GRADE. ALL THE REST OF THE KIDS AROUND, they were reading, they were excelling, and I at the at my Adventist school, third grade, was struggling. I'll never forget it, my brother. It was a Friday afternoon, and we were having our weekly spelling uh spelling test at that time. Now, um I couldn't read, but I'm not silly. I'm not stupid. Amen, somebody. All right. >> Oh, I wish y'all would hear me tonight. I I I couldn't read, but I had a little sense still. So, I I had practiced my little line. You know how they do it? You had to get a little circle and they you would read the first paragraph, second paragraph. I had paragraph number seven. So, I had not listened to anybody else's paragraph because I was studying for my own paragraph. Are you hear me tonight? So, I'm sitting there and and when it got to me, they nudged me. It's your turn. Your turn. So, I was like, "Okay, here I go. My paragraph said this. It said Jack and Jill went to the I L A N D. You got it. Y'all tell me what it is. I was so proud. I was so ready. I said Jack and Jill went to the island or went to the Island. Oh, some of y'all going to catch that later on tomorrow. went to the Israel Trinidad and I would and all the kids said, "Oh, silly. It's called Island. I felt that big. I felt like giving up. I felt like I was never going to be the man that God called me to be." But can I tell you what happened in my life? I grew up in a home, a Christian Seventh Day Adventist home. Do I have a witness, somebody? And my father said this. He said, "Even though you're struggling right now, there's power in the word of God." So here's what my father did, Pastor McKenzie. My father said, "We're going to read the Bible together." Oh, I wish somebody get excited tonight, right? He said, "We're going to read the Bible together." Now, mind you, I'm already struggling to read and write. So he then says, "We're gonna read now the King James version of the Bible." I said, "The King James." And we're sitting there. I'm crying and I'm I'm fussing and I'm upset. Three years old or third grade now. And and I get to withered thou. Come forth. Thou this and thou that ye and they. And I said, "Oh, but I did not understand this that my father was brilliant." Because my father understood James 1 and verse 5. Because James 1 verse 5 says, "If any man lack wisdom, let him ask of God." Because God gives wisdom without reproach. And the more I began to read the word of God, I began to understand the word OF GOD. AND GOD began to transform my life. And can I fast forward? I graduated from my high school number three in my entire class. >> Oh, you could have said amen better than that, somebody tonight. I graduated the top of my class with a 4.3 grade point average on a four-point scale. I'm trying to tell you tonight that when you submit yourself to God, God can change your life. And by the way, the number one in our class was that pretty girl sitting right there. >> Can I give you some bonus tonight? You ought to marry smart. Amen. In John chapter 5, this man does not think that he's ever going to get better. He thinks he's always going to be stuck in his current situation. But I want to remind you tonight again that the devil does not mind you sitting near the pool as long as you never get in. See, the devil is not upset that you've come to camp meeting church, but he is upset if you make a decision to follow him every step of the way. But I'm not so much concerned about the devil tonight because Jesus knows all about us. And in John 5 and verse 6, the Bible says when Jesus saw him lie and the Bible say and he knew that he had been there a long time in that case. He said unto him, "Wil thou be made whole?" Now, what I get excited about in the text tonight is the Bible says that when Jesus saw him lie there, you see, Jesus sees everything about us. He knows our struggles. He knows our tendencies. He knows that, as the song says, we're prone to wonder. We're prone to leave the God we love. He knows that we fall down. He knows that we have tendencies and thoughts that are less than godly sometimes. Unless you look at me with a holy sanctimonious look tonight, have you ever got down on your knees and began to pray to God and a thought came into your mind that you know was less than holy. Do I have a witness tonight somebody? Where did it come from? Our mind wonders. Our heart is desperately wicked. The Bible says, "Who can know it?" But yet, even though God knows our struggles and God knows our tendencies, that does not mean that God WILL NOT COME TO our rescue. God comes to us and he sees us where we are. He sees a man that for 38 long years has been struggling and not getting better at all. There are hundreds of people at the pool, but Jesus saw that one man. You know, I believe this that if you were the only one alive on earth that Jesus would still die just for you. You mean that much to God. God loves you so much that he sent his only begotten son that whosoever whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. God loves you and he wants you all for himself. The Bible says he saw the man lie there and when he sees him lie there in his pitiful sin struck condition. Bible says Jesus looks at the man and when he looks at the man the Bible says he asks the man a question. Now again there are hundreds of people lame at the pool of Bada. But can I tell you tonight, Jesus sees your situation. He sees what's going on in your life. He knows your problems. And God says, "I can handle your struggles. I know your secret sins. I know what keeps you up late at night. I know what you're struggling with. I know the tendencies that you have. I know how your mind is wondering. But God says that I even though I know everything about you that when my spirit comes inside of you, I can make you brand new. Jesus looks at the brother and he knew that he had been there in that same condition for a long time. And at first it sounds strange, doesn't it, church? It sounds strange because when Jesus looks at him, he asks him this question that really is really a deep theological question that God is asking all of us on this first day of camp meeting because he asks the man, even though you've been there for a long time, Jesus asked the man, "Do you really want to be made whole?" Oh, what a question that is tonight. I mean, hold up. Wait a minute. The man for 38 years has been sitting at the pool. You would think that the man would automatically want to be made whole. Why would Jesus ask this man, "Do you really want to be made whole?" Because Jesus is probing a little bit deeper tonight. Because some people want relief without responsibility. Some want blessings without surrender. Are you hearing me tonight? Some want God to change their situation without God changing their lifestyle. So Jesus is asking the man, and he's also asking us tonight, are you tired enough to change? Are you willing to let go of your sin? Are you ready to stop making excuses about your past? Are you ready for a new life in Jesus Christ? You see, people are sitting here and people are sitting there and they are pretending they really want to be made whole. They are tired of carrying guilt. They're tired of empty religion. They're tired of their secret struggles. They're tired of trying to live life without Jesus. And Jesus is asking every single last one of us tonight, do you really want me? Do you really want to be made whole? How bad do you want Jesus? In John chapter 5 and verse 7 now the Bible says the impotent man when he's sitting there he answered him and he says to Jesus he says sir I have no man when the water is troubled to put me into the pool. But while I am coming another stepeth down before me. Now now listen tonight. Look at the text. I'm a I'm a teacher of the Bible as well. I I I teach the Bible at Oakwood University and I love to bring out the gems in the word of God. I want you to see this tonight. Jesus never asked the man to give me excuses. Are you not hear me tonight? G Jesus did not say, "Well, tell me about your problems. Tell me about how others are going before you." Jesus never asked the man about all of his baggage. The only question Jesus asked him is, "Do you really want to be made whole?" And what the man does is he begins to make excuses, Jesus. When the water is troubled, I don't have somebody to put me in the pool. Jesus, I would give it up. But you know, that's just who I am. Jesus, I I I would be faithful, but but you know, my mother and father, they struggled over their life. Hear me, church. Stop making excuses. If you want all that God has for you, then you need to surrender yourself to God. I've learned that surrendering to God on a daily basis is what God needs from every single last one of us every day. Hear me now. I want to give two things. Every day I pray two prayers every day. Are you ready for them right now? Two prayers every day. The first prayer I pray is God empty me of myself and fill me with your Holy Spirit. I pray that prayer every day because I know even as a pastor, even as a man of God, even as somebody who desires to be used by God in a powerful way, I know that I can get in the way of myself. That the old William Lee can rise up on the inside of me. So every day I'm saying, "God, please empty me of myself. Empty me of my sins. forgive me for everything I've done and God fill me with your spirit. That's why Paul says I die how often I die daily because the truth is yesterday's victories will not suffice for today's battles. Just because you had victory yesterday does not mean that you're going to have victory today. Every day is another day for us to surrender to God. Who says amen? And my second prayer I pray is this. God give me wisdom because I'm not smart enough to know God's will in every situation. And from our youth, I've understood that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Jesus looks at this man and he did not ask him about his past, but he asked him about his present right now and he says, "Do you really want to be?" Stop waiting for people to do what only Jesus can do for you. Can I say it again tonight? Stop waiting for people to do what only Jesus can do. The man says, "I have no man." In other words, I've been waiting on people. And many people at camp meeting tonight are waiting for somebody else. You're waiting for another relationship. You're waiting for another opportunity, another high, another escape. There are people who have wounds that have been wounded in the past. There have been people have been talked about, rejected, people that have been bound by chains. But tonight, only Jesus can break the chains of our past. Paul says, "Forgetting those things which are behind me." Oh, I hear you God tonight. There me tonight, church. There are some things you need to let go of. There are some things that you need to say, "God, forgive me of all of my things. God, I am not going to hold on to my past sins and my past life." Because it is always a trick of the enemy to make us hold on to the past and forget that we have a bright future ahead of us. There are some emptiness that only Jesus can feel. some chains that can be broken that only Jesus can break those chains. So now when the man finally realizes I can't do this in my own power, I I can't get to Jesus in my own strength. I need Jesus to step in and make a difference in my life. And the Bible says, look at the text now. Bible says in John chapter 5, Bible says when he asked him in verse 7 now he says the impotent man says sir I don't have any power verse eight now Jesus says to him the same way that he says to us tonight Jesus Christ says rise take up thy bed and do what her body and walk and notice verse nine now notice verse nine Bible says, "And how fast immediately the man was made whole." Oh, church, I get so excited about the word of God because it does not take God 38 years to bring healing to your soul. It does not take God 38 years for you to call out. If you call out, "God, I need you." We serve a God that is always willing to come to our rescue. He loves to abide with us. He loves when we call upon his name. He loves when we bow down in prayer. He loves when we wake up in the morning and say, "Give me Jesus when I rise." Oh, when I rise, give me Jesus. Oh, you can have this old world, but give me Jesus. This man now in verse eight, the Bible says, he says again, sir, I don't have anybody, but Jesus says, rise, take up that bed, and walk. And immediately the man was made whole. And watch this. He took up his bed and he walked. And on the same day was the Sabbath. Now I want you to notice tonight Bible says he took up his bed and he walked. Have you ever considered the gravity and the power of what really is happening right here in the text? Because now the man has been lame for how many years? 38 years he's been lame. Which means for 38 years he's been unable to go to the bathroom by himself. For 38 years the bed he's been lying on has been soiled with his own self. For 38 years the tears have soaked now into the stains of that bed. And now Jesus tells this man, "Rise." Now the man had an option right there because the man could have said he could have made another excuse. Well, Jesus, I don't have the strength to rise. Well, Jesus, you know, I've tried this before, but here's the power of our camp meeting theme. If you obey Jesus, when you obey Jesus, you shall live. OH, I LOVE THIS BECAUSE HE obeyed the voice of Jesus. He He He was paralyzed, but when he obeyed the voice of Jesus, he found strength on the inside of him. He was able to stand off of the obedience of God's command. Can I tell you tonight, church, obedience is better than sacrifice. >> God desires and God requires obedience on every end. God's commandments are not suggestions. When God says something, he means it. The Bible is not a buff. You cannot pick and choose what you want. If God says it, how many of y'all know if God says it, I believe it. And if it was good enough for Jesus, it is good enough for me. Come on, say amen. Oh, when he rises up, now notice he takes up his bed. Now, forgive me everybody. I am not just one stationary preacher. I move every now and then. Is that all right? And can you imagine right now he takes up the bed and wait no f first of all I just I can I pause right now praise God that there's power in his word. Praise God that when we obey God we don't have to leave the same way we've come. See, I've been pastoring now for over 20 years, and I've seen people that when they begin to obey God and take God at his word, I found out this, Pastor McKenzie, you never leave the same way you came. You always leave better when you've met Jesus. >> Now, the Bible says Jesus says, "Take rise." He stands up. He and by the way, Ellen White says in Desire of Ages that when he stands up, it was almost like electricity shot through his body. It was the first time in 38 years that that he felt that that a change had happened in his life. And when he stands up, HE FEELS AS IF NOW I'VE BEEN MADE brand new. He stands up and now here's the problem in the text. Because Jesus is a little bit he he's a little odd sometimes because the first thing that Jesus asked him was a question that seemed obvious. Do you really want to be made whole? Surely he should have said yes. But then here's a second part of the text. Almost done. Jesus tells the man, "Pick up your bed and walk." Now hold on for one moment. If that was me and I had been healed by Jesus, I would have asked Jesus, "Jesus, can I have a new bed?" Jesus, wait a minute. I I I don't want to carry the same thing that's been carrying me. But I found out that Jesus oftent times tells you to pick up your bed because God does never want you to forget what God has delivered you from. Oh, you can SAY AMEN AGAIN. GOD never wants us to forget what he has done in our lives. SO HE TELLS THE MAN, "RISE, pick up your bed." Because the bed is a symbol of where God has brought him from. And he begins now to walk. And now when he walks, he walks in the newness of life. Now I love to do an exeetical study of the paricopy. And I found out that when I studied this text, that's why I said I'm not a stationary preacher, that when Jesus tells the man to walk in our King James or in our minds, we think that the man is just simply just starting now for 38 years, he's probably just now taking baby steps and he's kind of kind of walking like, "Woo! Yeah, this is great." No, no, no. The word that Jesus uses for walk in the text is per pat in the Greek. Can you say it with me? Say parapelo. Oh, you're speaking Greek tonight. I love it tonight. You're speaking Greek. Parapet does not mean simply to walk and take a step. Oh, are you ready for this tonight? Oh, I'm afraid tonight y'all going to be throwing me out of Nairobi tonight because when Jesus tells him to walk, the word for para, the word for walk, parapelo, it literally means to strut around. Oh, you missed it tonight. I know you don't want to say amen tonight, but you can smile amen if you don't want to say amen. Jesus tells the man per pat which literally means to walk around and let everybody see what I have done in your life. In other words, Jesus says that when you meet me, I want you to walk around and let people see that when you meet Jesus, you will never be the same again. parapot. He begins to strut around and watch me now and show off that I've met Jesus. I've met a man that changed my life. I met a man for 38 years. I had been lame. For 38 years, I had not BEEN ABLE TO WALK. BUT IN JUST ONE MOMENT, WHEN I met Jesus, he changed my life. Oh church of the living God, you have to believe God tonight that God is the same God yesterday, today, and forever more. And if God did it before, God can do it again. He's the same God of yesterday, today, and God will be THE SAME GOD TOMORROW AS WELL. the brother is walking around and and I know y'all that that you may look at me as a strange preacher from the United States, but can I tell you that that was me walking around, I would have lifted my head high. [snorts] I would have walked around like I own the place. Come on, somebody. I would have walked around saying, "I met a man. His name is Jesus." Because when you meet him, you never leave the same again. I preached the gospel across the the all the world. I've been in India preaching the word of God and those in India heard the word of God and believe the word of God. I've been all throughout the Caribbean and people's lives have been changed. I just preached an evangelistic series in the city of Brooklyn, New York, and there were over 50 people in just a short time that said yes to Jesus. WHY? BECAUSE THE WORD OF GOD STILL WORKS. >> OH, I'm sorry to get SO EXCITED TONIGHT, Y'ALL. GOD'S WORD STILL CHANGES LIVES. But you have to be obedient. When God calls, you have to move. When God says let go, let go. When God says turn that sin el loose, he's not doing it for your evil or for for for being v. No. God says, I want you to let it go because I have better in store for you. The text ends tonight by saying that the day he healed the man was a Sabbath day. I love that because the Sabbath is not just about a commandment. The Sabbath is about restoration. It's about God restoring into man his image and his likeness in us. Every Sabbath is a reminder that we need Jesus to restore his perfect image in every single last one of us. and he'll do it every single week. They were arguing who who does Jesus think he is? Why does he do all of this? And and the Bible says that Jesus here's the amen of the text. I want to call you tonight. The Bible says when Jesus, matter of fact, would you please look at that? Don't don't don't miss this tonight. After he says take up your bed and walk, the Bible says, listen, listen. The Bible says in verse 13, "And he that was healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had conveyed himself away. And the multitude being in that place, and afterwards Jesus finds him where?" In the temple. You know why Jesus finds him in the temple? Because he was paralyzed. He was at Solomon's porch. He had seen the other worshippers go inside of the temple and praise God. He had heard the songs of Zion, but he himself had never been able to get there himself. But the very first chance that he gets, brother man walks himself inside of the house of God. And when he walks in, Jesus finds him and says, "Now listen." He says, "Behold, thou art thy sins." Verse 14. Behold, thou art made whole. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon thee. And the man departed, and told the Jews, it was Jesus which had made me whole. And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the Sabbath day. If the musician could play softly, people need the Lord tonight. I want you to hear me my last two minutes tonight. I am so confident that no matter what [music] you've done in your life, no matter how many times you've fallen, no matter what sin you've held on to, I am confident tonight [music] that our God is able to do exceedingly, [music] abundantly, and above all that we can ever imagine or even think. [music] And for the very last few moments we have tonight, I'm wondering the same way that Jesus asked the question to a man for 38 years. Do you want to be made whole? [music] I'm wondering tonight, is there somebody on this first day of camp meeting [music] under the uncction and the power of God that says, "Yes, God, I want to be made whole. Yes, God, I want my sins forgiven. Yes, God, please God, change me. Make me the man or the woman that you want me to be." >> [music] >> And I want to invite you tonight, if that's you, if you want God to change [music] your life, he can do it just like that. If you're here tonight, I want to invite you to please [music] come down and stand with me tonight. Stand with me tonight. I I don't know the protocol on how you do appeals right now, but if you want God tonight to to change your life, I want to invite you to come down with me right now. I want you stand with me. [music] Stand with me right now. And somebody right now, I want to invite you to say yes to Jesus. Yes, Lord. I want more in my life. God, I want you to forgive me for my sins. God, I want you, God, to do an amazing work in me and through me. God, you can have all of me. And when you give God your all, hear me tonight. [music] God always gives his all. But God asked you. Thank you. God asks you, God asks you, are you going to [music] be obedient? Are you going to trust me? Are you going to walk with me? Because if you obey, you [music] will live. Church, God is calling you right now. Our time is expired. But God says, "Listen, I got room at the cross [music] for you. Though millions have already come, there's still room for you. Your sins can be forgiven. A brand new life in Christ [music] can be yours if you just ask God even now. God, I want you. And God can give you a brand [music] new life. He can save your family. He can save your marriage. God can do more in one moment if you [music] simply ask God, "Lord, you can have all of me and God will do the work in your life." There are a few more [music] that are coming and I'm going to pray a prayer over your life tonight asking God, God, seal us tonight. God, please Lord, take [music] out every stony part of me, every sin, every hidden sin, everything that's not like you, God. Lord, you can have your way with me, but you have to be willing and obedient when God asks you the question, do you want to be made whole? There's one, two more coming. God bless you tonight. Hallelujah. People need the Lord. All of us need him. And I thank God tonight. We're praying. Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank you, God, tonight for every precious soul that's come down to the cross. Oh God, Lord, we recognize and realize that we cannot do this in our own power nor in our own strength. God, the truth is all of us have a problem called sin. And God, sometimes we try to hide it. Sometimes we try to sweep it underneath the rug. Sometimes, God, we don't want anybody to know that we're struggling. But God, tonight, we recognize that there is healing at the cross. There's forgiveness at the cross. So God, tonight, forgive us for our sins. Wash us and make us brand new. God, may we not be filled with pride, but may we be filled with your spirit that will say, "Yes, God, you can have your way right now." And I pray, oh God, tonight that each one that has stood and is standing with [music] us tonight. Create within us a clean heart and renew a right spirit within us. Help us to be better. Help us to be sanctified. Help us to be holy. May our families be blessed because Jesus is the Lord and Savior of our lives. We give you ourselves, God, tonight. And I pray, God, that for this entire week that this encampment would be [music] a upper room experience. May we experience Pentecost because you are with us. Thank you God for your word tonight. [music] But we ask all of this blessings in Jesus name.
