10 shoes that used to be expensive that
just isn't anymore. Oh yeah, and if you
didn't know by now, my name is DJ and
this is the DNA show. On this channel, I
love to talk about sneakers and
especially give you guys the best deals
and opportunities out there in the
market right now, but most importantly
put you guys in the best financial
position to be able to take that and
roll it into stocks or real estate and
then eventually have assets that pay for
more shoes. So, if that's something that

First up, we have the Air Jordan 4
Undefeated. I feel like we had to get
this one out the way first because
everybody knows this is just a crazy
insane grill. Used to be a 20 $30,000
shoe back in the day. Ultra rare,
roughly around 70 pairs plus the
alternate version. So, let's just say a
couple hundred pairs in existence
because of that. Very, very expensive
shoe. A lot of people's grill status
sneaker. And I think it's still people's
grill to this day. But the new version,
the new retro, they were going for some
money, right? 450, 500 bucks somewhere
around there, maybe a little bit more
during the early release times. But as
you see now, they're starting to settle.
And even in a men's size 13, we're
looking around that $300 price point,
which is crazy to think. Next up right
here, we have the Air Jordan 4
Lightning. And if you guys remember
during this time back in the day, the
shoe was pretty expensive. And then it's
[music] just kept creeping up. And next
thing you know, at least for me, I
remember in my size, $12 to $1,500 shoe,
depending on obviously if you had a
smaller size, you might be around like a
$900 to $1,200 shoe. And to still have
my old pair in the collection, I'm still
happy. I'm not mad. I know the price has
gone down a lot. Completely fine. I
didn't get them for the max value
anyway, so I wasn't tripping. And now
obviously we got this new pair. But it's
crazy to think how much the market and
the sentiment has changed on certain
models. And I feel like this is kind of
an opportunity and a video to be able to
sit back, reflect a little bit on the
eras and what was hot then and what's
maybe quote unquote not as hot now. And
there are shoes that are still hot and
holding value. Prime example, you have
the Travis Scott Air Jordan 4, right?
Again, that wasn't 20 years ago that it
came out, but it's still holding a solid
value. It has it's not really peaked
around that $1,000 price, but to be able
to hover these around 7 800 bucks
somewhere around there and see them kind
of staying steady for years, that makes
sense. I understand that any of you guys
out there that are content creators or
business owners that are trying to
figure out how to make more money
online, I want to give you guys the
exact playbook that I would use if I was
starting over today. And I mean the
actual playbook that I used to take my
business from 10,000 to 130,000 in the
first year of creating content. I

Airphone Posit One Galaxy. Now, as you
guys know, I still have both pairs in my
collection as well. But if you remember,
the Galaxy Foam Posit was kind of the
beginning of another era and trend
during that time where it set the market
to a just a whole new level of money
flowing into the market space. And
because of that, made the Galaxy Phone
Posit$1,000 shoe and very hard to
obtain. And a lot of people were never
able to obtain that sneaker from the
original release time till then. We saw
the release again with the retro a
couple years ago. And then we thought
like, oh yeah, it's going to be
expensive. But then we're like, wait,
maybe it's not. And it's starting to
it's creeping down more. It's creeping
down more. And now at this point, let me
check again. If I remember correctly,
the shoe's basically retail a little bit
over retail, right? Retail plus tax
depending on what city you live in.
Love. Shout out. We ain't got no taxes
out here, man. Clutch. It's crazy to see
this model as well. was such a highly
sought-after sneaker, loved and
glorified. And I think again, not with
just this shoe, but all the shoes that
we talk about today, it's not like
people don't like them anymore. Again,
the market has changed. There's certain
shoes that have just trending up in
different values. And yes, we were
seeing some pullbacks or a lot of
pullbacks on a lot of different models,
but there are definitely still a lot of
sneakers out there that are coming out
now that are reselling for 5 7 8 $900.
So, it's still one of those markets. You
can't say everything is dead, but I
don't know. That's a whole another
conversation. We'll talk about that
later. But yes, the Galaxy Foam Posit,
very huge staple in the game. There's no
way that we can discredit that shoe as
well. And honestly, I don't know what
shoe on this list we could discredit
because they're all amazing in my
opinion. Speaking of another amazing
polarizing sneaker that maybe this one
everybody doesn't like, but I get it.
The Myro Air Jordan 7s. Now, again, I
have the old pair and the new pair. Oh,
wait, no, no. I didn't get the new pair
yet. I was about to I actually was about
to pick those up last week, but then I
saw them and I was like, man, I can get
these for retail right now. Now, at this
point, I feel like I could catch them on
sale. So, I'm on the hunt to try to
catch them on sale and get them at a
discount. And then once I do, you guys
know I'll make an unboxing, do a
comparison, make the reviews, and
everything like that. But I always love
hunting down the deals and finding the
best prices I possibly can. But with
that being said, think about it. The
original Maro 7s, $1,200, $1,000,
$1,500. We'll just say $1,000 shoe,
right? Thousand plus shoe. And then the
new one comes out and they're like, "Oh,
it's pretty limited. You know, it's
going to be exclusive still." Like,
there's not that many pairs out there,
but you can get it. It's more widely
available. Definitely way more widely
available than the original release. And
look at the prices.
Originally, it was like, "Okay, 350.
Cool. All right. Yeah, that's like got a
little resale on it." You know what I'm
saying? A little something. And now
these things is going for retail. So,
that's why I'm saying maybe I'll wait a
couple more months and I might be able
to grab them for 170 or something like
that. I don't know. We going to find out
in the future. And since we're on the
topic of Air Jordan 7s, I figured we
might as well sneak this one in there
because not a lot of people really talk
about these. I don't see them on the
internet that often. And that's the
Panton Air Jordan 7s. Now, this was a
part of the Panone Pack, which was a
very limited series of the Jordans,
right? So, they did the whole series,
all the numbers. And during this time,
if you guys remember, where's all my OG
sample collectors out there? You guys
remember you had the Rainbow Pack, you
had the 28 Days of Flight, the History
of Flight, the Panone pack. But during
this time, they were making all the
numbers in that colorway. So the panone
in particular, we saw the 11s, which was
like the Panone 11s, but it wasn't. And
it came in the with the gift of flight
pack with the 29s, which was a whole
another thing. And I still have those.
But the sevens in particular was a crazy
rare sample. You rarely I've seen them
one time in person as a sample pair and
then they just came out to the public,
flew under the radar. Nobody cared about
them. All the sample collectors like,
"What the hell? I can't believe these
just came out and then after that they
just was like gone into abyss. So I look
at the prices now and I'm like 200 250
bucks somewhere around there. After all
these years you would think like oh
maybe the price goes up a little bit.
You know you think typically a a sneaker
will season a little bit and then the
price will go up. But this one is just
like at its price. It is what it is
basically just over retail. And it's
crazy to think this wild, insane gym
that was a multi,000 sneaker is now just
out in the wild. Nobody cares about it
and it's just a $220, $250 shoe. So
again, it was fun making this list and
that one is a blast for the past for me,
at least as being a sample collector and
and going through and touching and
buying some of these pairs from the past
as well. And since we're on the topic of
samples, I figured we might as well
throw in a couple PE type vibes. And
when I say PE type vibes, as you guys
know, well, I don't know if all you guys
know, but cuz I was doing this way
before I started doing the social media
thing and uh YouTube and stuff, but the
Chris Paul Air Jordan 13. So, I had the
original samples before the the actual
pees, not the sample of the retro
version that came out because the retro
versions were absolute garbage compared
to the original pees, which is a whole
another topic, but basically multi,000
pees. Now you have the general releases.
They come out and they're like basically
going for nothing. Nobody cares about
them anymore. At the time people were
hyped about it. There was a little bit
of, you know, there was some money
flowing behind those models when they
originally came out. But again, that was
like, damn, what was that like 8 years
ago? It was probably longer than that at
that point. But the funny part is, this
is one of the funny parts. And again,
I'm just going to toot my own horn for
this one for a second. But I literally
had the pees. I wore the pees. I posted
them on Instagram. Somebody from Jordan
Brand seen it and then [laughter]
they got inspired to drop the shoe after
seeing my post [laughter] which opened
the door to multiple pees starting to
release to the public and then I started
posting more stuff and they started
releasing it to the it was just crazy.
Again, that's a whole another story.
Now, this next one is kind of like a pop
quiz. I don't know if it's a pop quiz or
whatever you want to call it, but
basically, do you remember this time?
Were you there? Because I was definitely
there. This was a great time. Great era.
One of the top grills of its time, one
of the most expensive shoes out there.
The Dover Street Market Air Jordan 1
ones. You remember how expensive those
used to be? How hard they were to find?
You rarely saw them. And then it was
just like they were a cheap shoe. Nobody
cared about them. It wasn't hot like
that no more. Now what's the price? They
probably Okay, look. Somebody highest
offer $71. How much was this shoe? $7
$800 something like that. And now it's a
$71 shoe. And honestly, probably people
don't even know about the shoe, never
seen the shoe, or completely forgot
about the shoe, and I'm just bringing up
a blast from the past memory. I honestly
wouldn't mind grabbing a pair of those
if I found a pair for $71. So, if
somebody got some for 71 bucks, or if
they want to give me a deal, and I'll
buy them for 69 bucks. All right, we'll
take it to the next shoe. And that's the
Tokyo Air Jordan 5s. Oh my gosh, do I
have my stories with this shoe and I
cannot wait to review these. As you guys
know, I haven't picked them up yet. Now,
for my people inside of the community,
as you guys know, I posted inside of
there. I think I might have talked about
it on the channel once before, but I
actually did get the Tokyo 5 retro when
it came out. I couldn't get the original
because finding a size 13
was just like insanely impossible. And
the price when you did was just like
didn't make sense. So, I was always
like, "No, I'm good." Cuz that's a multi
multi,000 sneaker. And now in current
time, they come out to the public and
it's like you can get these for a few
hundred bucks. So, some people might
say, "Oh, that's still expensive." But
it's like, no. Realistically, if you
think about comparing a five or a three
or a $7,000 shoe, depending on which
one, if it was a Drake sample or
whatever, and then now it's like $250,
$350, $325, 350. Like, that stuff right
there is just crazy to think. So, I did
get a retro. I didn't make a review
about I should have made a whole video
cuz that video would have probably
popped off, but I didn't even have time.
But the shoe came with a big old stain
on the side of the shoe, so I had to get
rid of them.
So, I'm still on the hunt. Tokyo Fives.
I don't mind if it's a used pair cuz I
do plan on rocking those. I love that
shoe. I'm excited about that shoe still
to this day. So, looking forward to
picking those up. This is kind of also
like me putting my bat signal out there.

what do we have next on the list? The
Nerf KD Air Jordan 4s. Oh my gosh.
$1,200, $1,500.
Crazy expensive shoe. Insane. First time
you mind you remember this. All these
prices I'm telling you guys is like 15
years ago. This is how much these prices
were. Think about that. So with
inflation what it is now, think about
how much more expensive it felt during
that time. It was crazy. Like back then
getting a shoe or a PE or something and
spending 1,500 to 200 or 2,000 or $3,000
on a shoe was like crazy insane. Like
that's wild. cuz prime example like
Oregon Duck Air Jordan 5 PE spending 5K
on those was like bro mind-blowing and
then later it was like oh that's a
$20,000 shoe right so just with
inflation and everything so now I don't
know maybe it's a 17 $15,000 shoe now at
this point but you get what [music] I'm
saying the prices were insane then
compared to now you don't see it but you
know we get a little bit jaded with this
inflation these days but the Nerf KDs
what we got $1,500 last sale yeah right
and then we got $1 $50 is the bids. And
bro, look, highest offer $95.
$147 last sales. 120. Buy it now, right?
120. What? That's like probably under
retail. That's crazy to think [laughter]
that that shoe is now basically a $100
sneaker probably sitting on shelves
still at some retailer at this point to
this day. I don't know. We'll find out.
Somebody probably got them sitting in
some random city in around America. But
it's just crazy to think about that.
That's just so wild. Okay, let's take it
to the next one. And that's the satin
bred Air Jordan 1's. Bro, this shoe is
like a $40 shoe now. $50 $60 shoe. Crazy
to think. Multi,000 sneaker. Multi,000
sneaker. Grail status. I still need that
pair. The breads and the royals. But
think about that.
And now it's a $50 shoe. Yes, I
understand they released them in
women's. And yes, I also understand the
women's version is absolute garbage
compared to the original men's pair that
had came out. Whole another topic. And
then we haven't even talked about the
player edition PE and sample game right
now. If you know, you know. If you're
side of the PE and sample game or if you
want to become a PE and sample
collector, this is one of the greatest
times. Hop on eBay, start looking, start
building connections. Pees and samples
are very cheap right now. If you can't
afford it and you [music] say $1,500 is
too expensive, that's your problem, not
mine. Again, relative to pricing, a
$1,500 shoe that used to be $4,000
makes it very cheap right now.

rolling back and you obtained all these
grills and the ones that are now able to
still be worn, especially Jordan ones in
particular, that's why you see they're
holding a good value because what?
They're hard to fall apart. There's hard
to have issues with them compared to the
threes or the fours in the college pees.
I'm giving you guys some real game and
wisdom right now. Now with that, if you
pick up those shoes and again you're
holding on to them for a long haul and
you have them or you wear them and
whatever, they're going to be worth some
good money in the future. and you're
going to be like, "Man, I came up. I got
these at the price when the market was
dipped down college and pees and all
that other stuff. It's like luxury
luxury real estate, right? People see a
hit on the regular general releases or
the mainline real estate and all that
stuff. And then you have the luxury real
estate and it's like, "Oh, nobody no
people are still buying $20 million
homes to this day. People are still
spending $50 million on a home to this
day. People are still purchasing 1 2 5 7
million homes to this day. So, the
people that have the money that are in
that bracket, again, they're like, "This
is great. I can find the good deals and
pick up these things." So, I'm just
saying this is a great time. There's a
lot of great pees out there. Start
scouring through eBay and just realize
what I'm talking about because you're
going to be like, "Man, I remember I
used to look that shoe up. It used to be
$7,000 and now I can get it for $1,800
bucks or $2,200." I promise you, there's
some crazy deals out there. We'll talk
about that later. If you guys want a

on there and find a bunch of banger,
especially the Jordan 23 pees. Bro, you
can get pairs for 250 bucks, 17, not 170
bucks, but 250 bucks, 350 bucks, 550
